ok .tell what I don't know
You cant talk about ball handling without looking at crossovers....Curry has sick crossovers tho but Kyrie does moves that we've not seen before...He can do four to five moves at full speeds without slowing down...its a close one but i would pick kyrie over curry.....

can't believe am drawn into this old argument of who has better handles between curry and kyrie Irving. for those who sees beyond trying too many flashy moves before beating a player and one who beat a player with a single smooth moves will know curry has a pure ball handle than overrated brat.
you're a good analyst but i beg to disagree with you on this one......

Sports › WESTBROOK VS HARDEN....who Is A Better MVP Candidate This Season? by aliondo(op): 8:10pm On Feb 21, 2017
These two are carrying their team on their backs like kilode....They both putting up mind blowing stats....Westbrook aka Mr Triple Double has been the backbone of my team since my best player (Durant) left and Harden is also doing a tremendous job with Rockets...They are currently third in the West competing for the Division title...Am an OKC fan but i think Harden has it slightly for me cos of his decisions and belief more in his players....WHO IS YOUR PREFERRED MVP CANDIDATE? (You can also name if its not westbrook or harden)

What they need is a bit of patience. They are very close to challenging at the top of the East. This move would all but destroy it because Butler's addition would not put them over the Cavs this year. He has badly declined defensively. It would also hurt their depth and ability to compete next year
They are in a good position....they are 2nd in the east.....butler may disrupt the flow in the team but i still believe Boogie would have been a perfect addition for the celtics to give them that cutting edge because they need an all-star Centre......
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by aliondo: 7:46pm On Feb 21, 2017

What is this I'm hearing about the Celtics wanting to trade Smart & Crowder and a future pick for that Ycee wannabe Jimmy Butler. It would be a massive, egregious and unbearable mistake.
I agree with you but butler is not bad tho....

About Durant, I wd HV made more comments about this long ago. But I'm not that kind of guy. I always like to hear from all parties including Durant before saying anything.

I just don't jump on threads or posts for the sake of attention or to draw likes.

Now that Durant has spoken, I can draw all final conclusions.

I heard him talk to chemistry, unity and equality withing GSW. Heard him talk of their style of play which I know suits his.
I was like "pleeeez, there's nothing he went there for that he couldn't create in OKC if he had a strong character". It takes a lot of character to influence the people around you.

Jordan did it in Chicago, surrounded by weaklings, including him in terms of physique, strenght. Most people never realised that what made the bulls finally overcome Detroit wasn't just Jordan flying up and down.

Jordan was all flash and less of substance in his first few years. Bird, magic, Kareem, and the entire badboys pistons were stronger than him. But he trained sooo hard and got much stronger. The entire bulls team followed him in that regard.
Jordan had that aura of influence on the entire bulls organisation.

Besides Jordan. Kobe did the same in Lakers. Kobe was on the bench for first 3 to 4 years in the league. He improved so much that that had to give out Eddie Jones and nick van exel.

Leave a Kobe of 20 to share the spotlight with shaq. 2 alphas were on the team. If became a problem. Lakers had to loose 1 of them. They lost shaq. Surrounded Kobe with bunch of new guys. Alas, 2 championships without shaq.
I'm not a diehard Kobe fan mainly becos he got into the league same season with my greatest inspiration "Iverson".

But to be frank, at their best its much easier to build ur franchise around Kobe fan building it around Iverson.

Strength of character in sports, goes far beyond skill set.

Durant has failed in that regard.

Let's even agree that its obvious its easier for him to play with Stephan and Westbrook, cos Westbrook is a ballhogger, unlike Steph. Wasn't shaq a ballhogger next to Kobe?

As eratic or ball-possesive as Russell is, Durant's influence on the rest of the weaker players should have neutralised that. U really need to see the kind of weakling Jordan had in the bulls before they started winning championships. Besides, pippen, there was none of them that seemed to be capable of being a good player.

Horance Grant, bill Cartwrite they were so horrible. I could swear Jordan had the worst and weakest teammates in the NBA for the first 5years of his career.
Now, let's dont validate Durant's move by comparing it to Lebron's move to Miami.

Miami won less than 40game prior to that move. Miami won 42games 2004, 59games 2005.
They were not amongst the top10 most stacked team in the league. Truth is there was/is no top10 team in the league Lebron would go to that wouldn't get to the finals or win the cham. We can't say the same of Steph or Durant.

Compare that to Durant that moved from a team that was 1game from defeating Golden state. And most likely dethrone them at the west. OKC to me cracked the code of how to play against or defeat Golden state. I tell people, the cavs borrowed okc's template in the finals.

All u do against GSW are:
1) always anticipate screens even when u are off the ball.

2) stay glued to ur man, irrespective of mismatch.

3) stay close to shooters like klay and curry when they are on the arc to either unsettle them from shooting or taking the bait to for them to dribble you and move closer to the basket. 2points is always better than 3points.
OKC had broken the code the same way morinho broke the code of how to play or defeat barca. Morinho did it with Chelsea, inter and finally Madrid. It became obvious that it was no fluke.

Durant had the chance to create something great with OKC. They were one or two pieces from totally Cracking GSW's kind of basketball for life.

If I were OKC, I WD have gotten a pure creative, none-stylish pointguard like Chris Paul, wall or rondo to play point next to west brook. So west brook could play off the ball as forward or scoring guard.
Philadelphia 76's did the same thing year 2000 and they got to the finals. That year, Larry brown moved Iverson from shooting guard and played a shorter Eric snow next to him. I saw these changes and see where it got them, finals!!!

Truth is Durant would win ring(s) in GSW. But its only gonna be ceremonial. It would never have as much value as those that won it through tougher adversities.

Iv never been the type to measure greatness with rings.
I would always put strength of character, aura of positive influence and unequalled charisma over Rings, anytime, any day.

At times; "The story of success in the face of adversity, can be sweeter than the story of your glory when served at your doorstep".

trade him to the Lakers and get D'angelo ,another young guy(ingram or thay young SF) plus some draft pick.

with Westbrook definitely leaving next season?

You bring in oladipo? And of cuz AL Horford has signed to the Celtics. With what KD wants:A ring. Do you really think they had a shot? With that lineup sincerely..

With Ibaka gone who was huge defensively?
Did you watch Steven Adams and Roberson in the playoffs??They were huge....Even Dion Waiters......We were arguably the best team in the playoffs not to win the championship.....Give us a superstar thats a good scorer, we will still contend for the ring next season.......

OKC did that to trap him into staying and also offered him an important position at Oklahoma all to make him stay but the dude already mentioned he'll be making Basketball decisions come off season why gamble?? They gambled and lost.
Trust me, in a way. I think we should trade Westbrook so we can get a decent point guard and a superstar that can shoot. Except that, we are literally done..Am thinking trading Westbrook and getting a Mike Conley or Chris Paul and a star shooter in Paul George??

Mizzzbeee:
you see this is the problem. You all wanted him to sign not for him and wt he wants but because the okc trades were all centered around him.

But when players like Wade live for the fans and what not, GM's like Pat Riley reminds them that it's all about BUSINESS and not sentiments.

So no! He shouldn't have done wat pipo think, but want he wants in his heart. At the end of the day he is Durant and has the right to choose.
Yeah...its the same thing...they made all those trades to please him supposedly.....Just like when you mentioned earlier that the Pacers were building a team around Paul George....How will Pacers feel if Paul George (if he was a free agent) left after they were building a team around him??Trust me, that is how OKC feel now cos i believe if they knew Durant was going, probably Ibaka would have not gone..Its really left a huge void in the team but he's a grown man and still my favourite player, so i respect his decision.

The dude said it specifically, he wants rings. He has been a contender for 7/9 years of his career. He's tired of getting so close and knowing it's not just enough.. OKC is known for making very foolish trade moves from Harden to Reggie Jackson to Ibaka. The one who has been drawing him back at OKC is Westbrook. And Westbrook never listen even when he was under the former coach and he still hasn't changed under Donovan with his 33% 3pt and unnecessary turnovers and ball hugging. Westbrook is great but he never for once listened to KD or the coach. I know how many times I've seen both if them argue in a match over his one man mopol attitude. Wade moved for money he didn't care if it was Denver Nuggets and even ending up in Bulls wasn't because he wants rings all for "Money". So understand when KD went for rings. The dude doesn't want to end up like Malone, Charles Barkley or Brain Scott 1-8 in "NBA FINALS" and this 2yr deal is best for his career. Going for the opportunity of a title is not foolishness and leaving your comfort zone won't please you or everyone but at the end it doesn't make sense when you expect someone to please you and end up being sad for the rest HIS your life. You won't do that and I wouldn't allow my brother do that. You can be heart broken "disappointed" should be used by those he assured to that he wasn't moving. He already said a month before now that he'll be making basketball decisions not family or friends'. Bad move is when he doesn't fit into the team or just went to chop bench.
How sure are you he's not going to distort the team chemistry?

For Celtics -Yeah of course the LBJ-DURANT BATTLE. Good for the NBA, AWESOME for the Fans. Would he get to the finals? Probabilty of that happening is strong (infact higher probability than he had with okc).

Would he win a ring? well yeah eventually. HOW MANY? undecided Your guess is as good as mine. I'll say 1 in the next 3years, thats 12 years in the nba.

MAvs- Mavs hmmm huh Dont just see it... Would still face spurs, warriors and clippers even blazers wud give him issues. Would he get to the finals hmmm maybe eventually, maybe the third season or fourth undecided

Would he win against cavs? undecided dnt still see it, maybe when Lebron's body finally gives up he would get that ring. Probability of him getting that ring is low undecided so lets just say eventually he gets 1 max. thats like 14years in the nba

Wizards -ECF contender thats all i see, finals? Wiz are a long shot. Pacers and rapts have better shot than they do. But if he eventually does it. A championship? Again i dont see it undecided So probability is low. Less probability than he staying in okc. SO why bother? undecided

OKC - Westbrook wont remain at OKC so he would have been left hanging. But if you are talking about next season, i can bet you warriors have something to prove much more than okc. They might get to the WCF but would fall flat.

And yes, he would regret it because this is the only chance he gets to play for the warriors.

Warriors do not have the cap space next season to afford him, cuz they would have secured Barnes this season. Even if he gets to the finals which i dont see, would he beat Lebron James? hmm cant pick that

But signing with Warriors makes all these other options look like trash, Probability of him wining a ring? Very High!, How many? You guess is as good as mine (in a good way) cheesy i'll say at least 2, knowing this team maayb 3-4 if he stays. And forget conley, These dudes, Curry, KD, Bron make more money from the shoe contacts, ads etc.
My take is that, he should have signed at least a 1yr contract for OKC this season before leaving because OKC trades in the market were all centred around him.

So wade left Miami and left Hassan alone. That guy is not after championship rings at all. Hassan will rise.Cant belive he dumped hassan. Miami will rise with Hassan there. Well chicago looks like they might still be good.

This next season is going to be brutal. The knicks looks like they might be contenders also
Dude, dont blame wade leaving. Blame the Miami Heat Organization led by Pat Riley.
