You guys in Nigeria that stay up all night watching sometimes boring NBA
It can be boring, they sometimes go on commercial breaks while the game is on.
I tried to keep up for years and stopped deceiving myself.
The game isn’t as interesting
Sometimes the games in the fiba World Cup or Olympics can be more entertaining because something is on the line
I doze off watching some nba games
Can’t say that for hockey, football, mma, volleyball, water polo, handball or tennis

You're right bro.... wasn't easy staying up late to watch games....I think something is missing or lacking in today's NBA....Don't Know if it's right to say the quality or gameplay has reduced drastically.... maybe the guys here will give their own input...

Saw an interesting take by Richard Jefferson on NBA today. Basically said this Jokic run is a combination of

KD scoring
Magic passing
Tim Duncan rebounding
Steph shooting
Giannis defense

And he brought out numbers and a solid argument to back it up. As we know the NBA is a copy cat league so it will be interesting to see if the league goes back to the traditional big man route. They will ultimately fail cos it takes a 1 of 1 like Jokic to pull that off

We will see if teams will be able to come up with an antidote for Jokic, another underrated aspect of his game is his defense. Even till now people still bring up Embiid being better on defense I don't know maybe cos Embiid is black people just assume he's better but he was holding guys to 39% shooting as the closest defender

Spoelstra at this point will have to make a business decision. Jimmy doesn't look as impactful. And I'd argue some of it is from him having to guard Jamal Murray.

The problem is exerting energy on guarding these guys will hurt your ability to finish games strongly.

It's going to take 35-40 point games from Jimmy for the Heat to win this thing. So do you keep putting Jimmy on Murray knowing he can hit 30 anyway or you let someone else guard him so Jimmy is fresh to focus on scoring

Agree with you boss....I think another player should be given the role to guard Murray to give Butler some freedom to perform better

thats the point. he has the skills to become just as good. but he needs more than a good team right now. he still has work to do on himself. before you start asking front office to assemble you a big 3 or whatever, you too must be in that category. He is not there yet, and there is no point psyching him up - he has a lot to still work on to get there. Otherwise, you become like Lillard...dropping 50 pts and getting swept year after year. This IMHO is actually true, GSW needed a player with Draymond skillset on offense to fully unlock both Steph and Klay but especially Steph. If GSW did not have Draymond Steph would have been forced to play the role of running the entire offense thing like a traditional PG and that would have reduced what he has become in some fashion. Same thing with Klay, without Draymond he would have been forced to initiate some offense as a 2 guard, but with Draymond he can actually just shoot and guard exclusively which is his optimal role

I think they complement each other all round

Same here, it’s been a minute I read from you. To be honest, there is not much left in CP3’s tank and I have seen enough in the post season to say Booker is not that guy for me. Booker can’t carry a team by himself over the hump. His offense is quite predictable and he can’t help defensively.

The Suns have to manage CP3’s minutes carefully in the post season. I trust a CP3/ KD combo better than a Booker/ KD but a CP3/Booker/ KD combo is lethal. It’s championship or bust once again for KD and that is his reality, no excuses.. it comes with the territory!

KD will be fine, he seems driven up to this point. The West is in its most fluid and open state.

You still considering taking the OKC coaching job?

He overstayed with the Lakers, should have left sooner. He needs to pick himself right up and focus on the game. The Clippers present the best landing spot for him. If he keeps it simple and not force things like he did coming off the bench for the Lakers he would be great for the Clippers.
