In 5 years Nigeria will have More refineries than the whole of Africa, lol!

It's like the business just became lucrative and everyone is interested.
The oil business use to be lucrative for politicians but now that the subsidy is off, it is lucrative for real business men and women.
The same thing will happen when electricity subsidy is removed

PoliticsRe: I Might Not Be Bold Enough To Take Such Decision If I Was The President - Kalu by alizma: 12:35pm On Jan 04, 2025
A man with presidential ambition still maintain 25yrs relationship with his political son despite he is doing better than his son but we have another who has Zero relationship with anyone that worked with him yet he wants to be a president too, he is running up and down thinking those he run to are fools who don't know the rules in politics.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Price May Crash To N500 Per Litre -marketers by alizma: 12:15pm On Jan 04, 2025
Validated:
Stop day-dreaming, not possible, otherwise I will start exporting Dangote gasoline to US/Canada for $1 (N1650) per litre
Your calculation are wrong. However I didn't blame you because the person that talks about the possibility didn't tell you the basis for that assumption and I now put it to you that one of the basis for that assumption is that dollar will also crashed. So your 1,650 to a dollar is not realistic

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Says Invitation To Inspect The Refineries Is Disrespectful by alizma: 12:08pm On Jan 04, 2025
This is how you know destructive critics. He went on air to project NNPC a lier over their claim that the refineries are working and NNPC invited him to come and see for himself as an elder statesman man and he is talking about being disrespected. Fear enemies within.
FamilyRe: Groom And Bride's Families Clash Over Bride Price In Imo State. by alizma: 12:02pm On Jan 04, 2025
I am not from East but I have spent reasonable time in the East, there is no issue here. If you have been attending traditional marriage in the East, you will know this is a normal thing. But in most cases, the groom is not the one to do the bargaining directly, the groom usually have an elder who is knowledgeable in the game to speak for him. And some time it's very educative and fun
PoliticsRe: Video: Peter Odili's Kinsmen Bow To Apologize To FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike by alizma: 7:36am On Jan 04, 2025
Nnamdipapa:
There is truly hunger in the land when elders have their tongues deeply wedged inside the rectum of the FCT minister.
It's not about hunger, that odili did was wrong. Wike gave him his due respect as a governor, aside that, he is expected to be an elder statesman in Nigeria, especially in Rivers State affairs. Between Wike and dubara, he should play fatherly role.
PoliticsRe: NNPC Begins Modernization Of Kaduna And Second Port Harcourt Refineries by alizma: 11:57pm On Jan 03, 2025
nellybank86:
So if Dangote had not built a private refinery these thieves would not have activated any of our refineries? Truly Nigerians at the top obviously too wicked 😥😥😥
If he had not refused their rule that he will produce and sell to them while they sit at home and make billions from Nigerians. They all knew what was needed to fix the refineries all this while
PoliticsRe: NNPC Begins Modernization Of Kaduna And Second Port Harcourt Refineries by alizma: 11:52pm On Jan 03, 2025

NNPC has received a new lease of life, Tinubu you do this one.
Thanks to Dangote too. His refusal to be used by NNPC is key to this new turnaround. The cabals frustrating the revival of the refineries wanted to continue with their usual tactics while feeding from Dangote's out but his refusal put them on their toes, it's either they fix the refinery and enjoy from the current prices or loose all to Dangote.

PoliticsRe: Biafra: Tinubu Refused To Honour Agreement To Release Nnamdi Kanu – Family by alizma: 12:00pm On Jan 03, 2025
Tinubu has second term ambition and I don't think he will risk that for Kanu. You can't say he has renege on the agreement as long as he is still the president.
PoliticsRe: Daughter Of The Late Emir Of Kano Stranded In Lagos, Begs For Help (video) by alizma: 8:16am On Jan 03, 2025
She has been doing this for long, she is not stranded, it's just her own yahoo yahoo style. She just want to sit at home while money is being sent from Kano to her account because she is a daughter of former Emir. I can bet that if she really want to do something, it won't take Lagos State governor and his counterpart in Kano 1hour to arrange a job for her.
A stranded person in Eko Hotel is not stranded. Common sense tell me that if you are actually financially down and no help on the way, you should have adjust your standard of living before coming to the public to ask for help.

Toh

Make Peter Obi try and relax small. He has taken this politics of a thing too personal and too desperate.
Unfortunately for him, the people can see the desperation in his movement. Politics is not something you start just when you need a position, you should be known for supporting, caring for others even before your own time of need for support. Even now that he needs something, he has not been able to manage the labour party affairs effectively, this is a major set back for him but his followers think it is nothing, all that matters to them is Obi, other party members can go to hell. Anyway, I wish him well.

FamilyRe: "My Wife's Ex Is Back, And Their Romance Is Rekindling – Should I Walk Away? by alizma: 1:26pm On Dec 31, 2024
Sapasenator:
Hello Nairalanders,

I am completely lost and need advice. My name is Olumide Adeyanju(Not my real name), and I’m a 42-year-old civil engineer based in Lagos. I’ve been married to my wife, Tola, for seven years. We have a son together, Jidenna, who is five years old. Our marriage hasn’t been perfect, but I thought we had something solid—until recently.

When I met Tola, she was a divorcee. She told me her first marriage to a man named Dapo Olatunji ended after three years due to irreconcilable differences and I believed her. According to her, Dapo had anger issues and was overly controlling. She said she left the marriage to protect her mental health and focus on building a better life for herself. At the time, I admired her courage, and we built a beautiful relationship.

Last month, everything changed. Tola and I were invited to a wedding in Lekki. As fate would have it, Dapo was also at the wedding. It was the first time they were seeing each other in nearly 10 years. I noticed they exchanged pleasantries, and while it seemed cordial at first, something about the way they looked at each other didn’t sit well with me.

In the weeks that followed, I started noticing subtle changes in Tola’s behavior. She began acting distant and spending more time on her phone, often smiling at her screen like a teenager in love. When I asked her what was going on, she brushed it off, saying it was just "work stress."

Then, two weeks ago, I came home early from work and found her on a video call with Dapo. She didn’t realize I was home, so I overheard parts of their conversation. They were laughing and reminiscing about their past together—things like how they used to travel to Abuja for weekend getaways and the time he bought her a surprise gift for her birthday. It felt like I was intruding on a private moment between lovers.

When I confronted her, she admitted that she and Dapo had been talking regularly since the wedding. She claimed it was "nothing serious" and that they were just "catching up as friends." But I don’t believe her. Her behavior has changed so much. She’s more secretive, and I even found out she met up with him last Saturday without telling me. She said it was a "closure" meeting, but why does she need closure after all these years?

Now I’m stuck. I love Tola, but it feels like her heart is being drawn back to Dapo. I’ve spoken to my elder brother, Kunle, and he thinks I should stand my ground and fight for my marriage. But my best friend, Tunde, says I should let her go if she’s already emotionally checked out.

I don’t know what to do. Should I confront Dapo directly? Should I give Tola an ultimatum to stop talking to him? Or should I quietly walk away and let her decide who she really wants to be with?

Please, Nairalanders, I need your honest opinions. Have you experienced or heard of a situation like this? How do I handle it?
One thing I want to tell you is this, if a woman is happy where she is, she will do everything to avoid intruder. Your ex, sorry your wife's mind is somewhere else. You will now be feeding and clothing her while another man is doing the other room assignment. The unfortunate part of the whole thing is that you are in the know of the fact that another man is doing your job.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Please Advise Me Before I Reject This Offer by alizma: 10:00am On Dec 31, 2024

Since your current job will expires this month, accept the new offer while looking for another job. This will make the people you are leaving to see you as hot cake, then if they ask you to stay, demand for 200k, you may end up getting something around 150k. If they don't ask you to stay back, then you didn't loose anything, at list you will have a job while looking for another

Some people cannot point at this kind of building a property belonging to any member of their family anywhere, yet they think the man is stupid to throw party for not loosing the house. It's more like throwing party for surviving a murder attempt on his life because if he had lost the house, there is tendency that depression would have killed him within a short time

They want peo6with mind of their own, such people hardly disappoint because they state their mind at the time of any agreement entered but you see all these yea boss people, they will disappoint you the moment they feel they are no longer under your control.

Is the government going to remain quiet on the judge that pronounced such sentence, on what ground was that sentence appropriate for a man that stole chicken? This case is supposed to be an eye opener, an evidence that Dele Farotimi is correct on the judiciary and if nothing is done to remove the bad eggs in the system, then the judiciary as a whole has agreed to Farotimi.
