At the end he is telling the court that he doesn't submit to it's authority and will not respond to the allegations made by the prosecution.

He is in effect, now telling the court to base its findings and conclusions on the presented evidence by the Government .

This can not be used in anyway to appeal further his case in a superior court since he refused to put up a defense on the allegations against him.

So what is he going to use to appeal in future ?

It appears he has resigned to his fate.

Exactly, he can only appeal when he defend himself and he feels the judgement does not represent in perfect and legal expression, his defense against the evidences.
