But if it is extended to private individuals it is a nonsense and should be challenged in court. It will also create more more avenue for criminals and fraud, imagine a vehicle with multiple plates just because you've spent 3 months in Lagos. If all the states implement this they would be chaos. It would also make kidnapping easier with one car having multiple "legitimate" plates - absolutely crazy ...

1. You know to always enter Lagos state registered bus rather than oyo or enugu. Just to be safe

2. Your bus can be tracked in terms of whether it is a Lagos state bus or one chance

3. This gives the opportunity to actually installs tracking devices and control crime rate eg Lagos state taxis

These are the things I saw. At the end of the day you and I want to be safe regardless of the what Nigeria says.

Commercially use vehicle would and should and must have there plate number and registration from the state they intent to be working on. A commercial vehicle from ogun or delta cannot be a danfo in kogi it is dumb on the ministry of transportation part to allow such to occur.
