when its about yoruba you would see these same people shout Yoruba, ngabati, etc then you give them a taste of their own medicine they cry foul. Igbos are one of the most tribalistic PEOPLE I have ever come across. Majority of igbos are too tribalistic that they dish out what they can't take BTW SUN NEWSPAPER is the worst newspaper in Nigeria quote me anyday. Very biased, exaggerated news. Carry on. the worse hypocrites I have ever encountered. |
Fee aside, Because the quantity of goods a ship or vessel has to transport into port harcourt is so small, the general cost of transportation increases!! Economics 101.
gbammmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!! so what is the obvious solution ? PATRONISE YOUR PORTS IF YOU HATE LAGOS AND HER PEOPLE. ABI SHEY NA FIGHT ? People make it like it is by force they must import from Lagos, In as much as we are one country and as a citizen I can import from anywhere. EVERYONE still reserve the right to import from his region. I hate reading stories about how Lagos is not making other states to grow must especially Igbo states. It is soooooooo annnoying ![]() |
jmaine: Taaa no dey lie for there . .No be four hours you take reach benin from Lagos . . .lie make i hear youMe lie ![]() Ikorodu even festac get road issues. Oga Jamine what we are talking about here are federal roads. I went for a burial in bini city and it is nothing to write home about. I really should have taken the pictures. No worries as fowl yansh open for Onisha road , na how we go see for the bini ore one. Enu e la wa e ! |
I wonder o!! As if its not by patronage that the port would open up.. Isnt it easier to ship into Calabar and send to Onitsha than into Lagos?! Isnt it easier to ship into port-harcourt and transport to Onitsha?! Must the government literally fhuck our wives for us?! Na wah o!
na wa o ! tell them. |
manny4life: So in other words, we can both accept that though you've debunked the claim, the status quo remains the same- the ports are not up to standard for commercial operation? I mean barges have a limited depth and can ONLY move so much, therefore, there's room for complaints that not as if there isn't a port, but there isn't a full scale port with that has the ability to commence commercial shipping/operations..what do you mean by the bolded ? Of course it is upto commericial operation if not it would not be operational at the first place. Now if you are talking in terms of comparing it to that of Lagos then that is far fetch cuz the more operational/ incoming goods the more viable and the more faclities to accommodate the incoming cargos. It would not be like Hong Kong seaport over night cuz u spent money. It needs to be viable aka more patronisation for the people to get to the status |
manny4life: alj harem, you see yourself, I don't know what to call you; how do you expect an infrastructure to attract customers when the preliminaries haven't been completed by government. My brother, I find this statement very very annoying. Is it not u all "pro port in SE" that always say the government should not do anything and it should be the job of the people. What have u or another nairaland importer AK47mann done to patronise those ports ? What has Ibeto, Innoson etc done to patronise these ports ? C'mon you and even the government cannot force anyone from Lagos to start landing their cargo from Port harcourt or onistha. It is a free society cause each state is in a competition. Was it not the same Lagosians couple with their SE counterpart that advocated for an Onistha river port ? So what have we done wrong as a state ? The government can only build and try to maintain it, the rest is upto the people and their sense. I mean it makes no sense for a man who sells goods in Ebonyi to first import from Lagos. |
The truth is that even if the government builds 10 ports in Anambra and it still remains cheaper to ship to Lagos than Onitsha and it remains cheaper to clear goods in Lagos than Onitsha, Umunna would still use Lagos. A customs agent explianed it. These other ports that see small actions are so tight its unbelievable. In lagos, you can clear you container with ease and with cheap egunje, but in Port Harcourt and Calabar, the Customs guys there never see ship in like 6 months so when your own land, they will fleece you of every penny you have.
I clearly knew this but my brother who's fault is that ? Lagosians fault ? The government fault ? or the people that don't patronise it the answer is clear so when an ideeiot comes here and blame lagosians and tries to explain some conspiracy against them it is annoying. It is high time we start speaking the truth to ourselves. |
jmaine: Did Dedeike mention that road in all his post's . .You see as you wan mess up yaself together with all your comments on this post . . . .Oga jmaine leave me alone for now, I dey vex. In fact I forgot to add, I went to bini city about 4 weeks ago the road never change o so maybe papabrown would explain. All I observe is a section of the road leading to bini city (not the way back) is been contructed. The Ore road itself is horrible. c'mon it is unfair to say something only for people on the net to find out it is a lie. It is very very annoying and disheartening. |
My guy, this is why I say the problem with Nigeria is Nigerians themselves!! A city like Toronto in Canada generate and use more electricity that the whole of 160million Nigerians generate and use...and we are supposed believe that things have improved!?! But if on the other hand Nigerians where like the rest of earthlings, they would have came here and say..."hey guys...since the new 3000megawatts generating power station came online I have seen a huge difference in our area big time and then the rest of us would say congatulations...it's about time!!" But NO, just as you want us to mindlessly celebrate when y'all boast of ur riches with NO known source...you want us to join the celebration of a none existent power sector improvement!! ...right?
My brother you have said it all. I dey vex as this people dey lie cuz I no get light right now. I dey vex gan !!! ![]() |
GAR3TH: On the bold, I still dont know why people cry about this. Once again the lower niger delta has been dredge along time ago. If the Onitsha port is not utilized then why blame the government? The government has already refurbished the port and dredge the water way since the days of the yar'adua administration.thank you o !!! Some would have given GEJ the credit now. Some don't even know that there are sea/riverports in onitsha, port harcourt, and one being built if not completed in akwa ibom dumb people, sorry to say. rather than blame their ignorance they would either blame lagos, government or go tribal cuz of frustration. |
this is how the same iddeiotic people have been lying to us about road construction "massive" road construction by GEJ goons see road being massively constructed www.nairaland.com/attachments/773094_Corp0437_jpg52bebb1ec15f938da80880e32028e3ad |
ubandire Oh u be Igbo biafran sef, that explains a lot I rest my case |
ubandire: Have u ever been a Nigerian?God forsaken fool.you would always open ur trash to churn out rubbish, see the kinda talk someone who wants to be taken serious indulges in,i always take u to the cleaners cos ur useless, careless and unguarded comments,Who gives a hoot if u r Nigerian or not?,HOPELESS LOSER!LOL another iddeiot is out. LOOOOOOOOOOOOL YOU, BEAF, GEJ GOONS AND UR USELESS LEADERS/POLITICIANS THAT HAVE BRIBED U ARE IDEIOTS AND CURSE. All the money you have collected/ tribal reasons for the death of millions of nigerians through lack of sympathy would follow iddeeiots like you and ur leaders. Now go die ![]() |
Mine is that they should relax with this train business.. Any Railway investment from now on should be fast electric trains or nothing.. Which means start investing in Electricity first.
gbammm gbammmm super gbammmm. hope other goons can think like that |
Y'ALL CAN KEEP CELEBRATING MEDEOCRITY AND BE SUFFERING AND SMILING...NONESENSE!!
Are you minding the mumu's I wish I was never a Nigerian, probably an American or something. Nigerians from the comments read here have very low IQs The immediate money the politicians are giving them is worth more than the long term benefit of calling for accountability. Others just support cuz of ethnic bigotry. How stu.pid can a man be ? well ask dedeike and co |
tooooooo much lies by GEJ psychos. |
Me Yoruba?! I laugh in Ijebu Ode.. https://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing021.gif And how did Obasanjo cripple the town?! Cameroon being ceded to Cameroon was prolly one of the best decisions of our government ever. I didnt mince words, Your town is dead. Calabar Port is one of the best ports in Nigeria and if its not functioning at even 5% capacity, dont blame it on The Yorubas, blame the lazy Calabar man who is so balless they cant fight or politic for anything in their miserable drunken life. Thats how Akwa Ibom came and took away all your oil wells, the FG took away Bakassi and now you are blaming the Yorubas for taking away business from your port. Nwokem, biko si ilo, you are a shameless dog eating m'oron. Calabar port is yet to see action and Donald Duke built an artificial port at Tinapa. Yet no show. So now that Jonathan is in power, why not blame the Bayelsans for your misery?! Keep fhucking cheap women, drinking drinking cheap liquor and being lazy.. Dont go and learn how to politic business into Calabar. Nkita Ara!
He is not from Calabar but another iddeieotic Igbo boy. South south people are too sensible for this nonsense. Our people say "He who the gods want to kill, they run mad first" |
I am sorry to be a pessimist but it is already a failed project and yeah Okija juju was right 1. The train that would connect calabar to Lagos would only work if they by pass the SE state cuz nothing with Igbos would work in this country. They are to damn tribalistic and never see anything good with their neigbours unless of course it is ndigbo. 2. Find a way to by pass SE by passing through the SS states with the SW or going through benue etc then SW 3. I would not be surprise that even if the train is working that some unless igbo/ibo boy would steal the track and convert it to some sort of money etc. I personally find it a good idea for the economy of SS but I don't want it to happen cuz it is some huge set back for us as a nation. |
, My brother I tire ![]() Pukkah: I guess that is his full time job. |
dedeike:shut it, u might even be one of Beaf's ID or another Biafran Bigot just supporting anything silly |
