bellten:Igbo is the people ibo is the language thus you can say igbo is the same is ibo igbo=ibo some call it eebo or heebo which to me might be offensive to igbos but igbo and ibo is the same thing, do not let all this nairaland revisionist lie to you that it is igbo not ibo. that is a lie IGBO or IBO is the same but it all depends on the context in which you use it |
President Boni yaya :- I am yoruba President of Benin Republic, Dr Thomas Boni Yayi, on Saturday shocked prominent Yoruba Obas and leaders when he announced in impeccable Yoruba language at Ile-Ife that he was happy to be back home. Yayi, who was in Ile-Ife to receive an honorary doctorate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University and a chieftaincy title from the Ooni of Ife, said he was happy to be where his story started. "Kabiyesi, my being here today is home-coming. It is the water that weaned me that I have come to see. It is the breast that I sucked that I have come to behold. Just continue to pray for me, your son who is the President of Benin Republic," he told the Ooni after he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Sooko Adimula Obaninuola of Ife. Yayi, who is from the Yoruba-speaking part of Benin Republic, told his audience which included Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Afenifere leaders - Chiefs Reuben Fasoranti and Ayo Adebanjo – and the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji AbdulMumini Kabir Usman, that his country and Nigeria were inseparable brothers. "Nigeria and Benin share the same culture, people and history. Indeed, Benin is Nigeria's 37th state while Nigeria is Benin's 7th department," he said. He added that he was happy that the regional integration started by former President Olusegun Obasanjo was being continued by the Umaru Yar’Adua administration. He was accompanied by over ten Yoruba Obas from Benin Republic. http://www.yorubareligion.org/_con/_rubric/detail.php?nr=1308&rubric=News&PHPSESSID=roif61i18drhp2suidc16ipbt1 |

chino11:Yes Lagos is liveable that is why I am still living there till today. 2face Psquare etc are still living there. What about Uche jombo is she not in lagos. Lagos has his problem which is due to overpopulation but saying lagos is unliveable is wrong |
chino11:grow up |
dumb topic i mean how do people think without putting things to prospective. SMH |
odiaero:so the kaseim that started it you did not report |
bashr4:dude who said anything about killing or whatever u wrote up there ![]() did you read what viceno wrote about his family. i dey laff ooo he said he wants to eliminates all the dark skin in his family. that his parents have been doing it before him. is that not inferiority complex. I think the light skin issue depends on the family,my family loves light skin a lot, right from the days of my great great granfather, male members are adviced to marry a light skined and beautiful wife, there is always an unspoken sadness, when someone marries a dark or brown skined wife, even the girls are praised when they marry a light and skined handsome person, when a family member sees a light skined and beautiful girl child,he runs back home to report to the umunna, who in turn visits the girls parents to ask for the child's hand in marrage, the umunna then presents one of its male members as the suitor. This was the practice long time ago,it is no longer practiced, but because of it,we have a lot of really light skined people in my family and less brown/dark people. |
kettykin:so what is the point of all this analysis. It is clear that Jonathan is build 4 international airports in the east and SS balysea int airport, asaba airport, enugu, some even say port harcourt airport. (some just need renovation) and he is building 3 seaports which are port hacourt, onistaha and delta state so why not wait and see. all this analysis is just not conclusive as people do not just come to lagos for business like you suggested different facts come into play. |
Kobojunkie:thats my kobo kobo |
