Obiagu1:
Other export free trade zones failed because adequate feasibility studies were not carried to ascertain the viability of such zones in the areas.
This is what is killing Nigeria, sentiment! Most were done without much thought on how it will benefit the whole country and not just mere citing a project in my town or region to cheat others. That's why we have white elephant projects littered everywhere from Ajaokuta to Tinapa.
yes excatly so does anambra have the adequate knowledge on how it would benefit the state or are they going to go with the rest

EzeUche:
The Northerners target your people moew than any other group. They know your people do not fight back. Unlike the Igbo and Middle Belters.

Igbos will continued to be feared in the North.

It was only Igbo sons who had the audacity to kill their paramount leaders.
Bros, how do we unite with the igbo nation again or how do we get the forgiveness of the igbo nation again?
PoliticsRe: The Northern Counter-coup Of 1966: The Full Story Without Bias! by aljharem(m): 4:10pm On Jul 25, 2011
EzeUche:
huh huh huh

No one fears the Yoruba. Your numbers have always been too few in the military to make a difference. That is why the North controlled your region during the war.

Only one group has brought Nigeria to its knees and that was the Igbos. That is the same reason why the Northerners are wary of any Igbo who gains too much power.

There was a bark and then there was a bite. The East has never been pacified.
ok we understand your point, what do we nigerians do to appease the Igbo Nation ? Biko tell us
PoliticsRe: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by aljharem(m): 4:06pm On Jul 25, 2011
Bliss4Lyfe:
ROFLMAO! Why? Is it becos of my foresight and ability to know the best for our future generation. Don't u want economic success for Nigeria and less fighting like we see almost on a dailly bases in Nigeria? Don't u want our currency to return to its former glory in the early 1970s and late 60s.

Don't u want better fiscal and monetary policy and infrastructures? Don't u want foreign inward investment and competitive development of our infant industries. Please let us observe change becos that is the only formular dependable in life and see.

Let us move away from the path of war and tribalism to a path of success.
haha. this has nothing to do with tribalism. haba my sister

you did not even talk of ngige, soludo, fashola or as things are going now rochas you are talking of Ngozi.lol

fashola has changed the face of lagos and i am a living witness to this.

rochas just started and frankly i have not see anything from him except from he gave some people money

soludo is not bad but we have a better candidate if soludo is picked and he is sanusi

Ngige is another great Nigerian. For the mere fact that he is one of the few detribalised igbos I have seen in the political affires of the country, I would give him thumbs up for that.

The Igbos will never move on from this war. It is still very recent and it brings out raw emotions. Many of the Igbo poster's parents survived the war. Why would the next generation forget the horrors that there parents went though?
so what should we do about it brother huh
PoliticsRe: What Nigeria Needs? Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala by aljharem(m): 3:52pm On Jul 25, 2011
Bliss4Lyfe:
Nigerians need to realize dat they are at a special place in their history and really need to start making wise decision on who they place the mantle of leadership. Good leadership is never about tribe/ ethnicity nor personal wealth. It is about character and experience.

We see candidate with character and experience come to the lime light but turn our backs on them over superficial and ancient beliefs. We as Nigerians need to understand that the only formula constant is change and until we apply that formula, we remain backward and failures. We migrate to distant land were we really are not wanted and many lose their life in various unthinkable ways in the search for greener pastures.

Let me affirm that their are no land on earth with greener pastures than our Nigeria and we as Nigerians need to start considering our future in a way we have never done before to attain our true potentials. History is ours for the making and it is time we in Nigeria had our Obama moment in our life time.

2015 lets vote Ngozi Iweala Okonjo as our President. The first female President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

EzeUche:
Article 1 in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)

All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.

The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights article 15 states that everyone has the right to a nationality and that no one should be arbitrarily deprived of a nationality or denied the right to change nationality.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Nigeria declared war on a people who were fleeing a blood thirsty pogrom from backward Northerners who cannot even write their names. The same people who created Boko Haram that everyone is now complaining about it.
don't call us backwards because nigeria development started from us

forget civil war and lets be brothers and build a nation. what do you say
PoliticsRe: The Northern Counter-coup Of 1966: The Full Story Without Bias! by aljharem(m): 3:47am On Jul 25, 2011
EzeUche:
That reasoning is so juvenile. But that is expected of Northerners who showed the world how juvenile they can be in South Africa with Kaita's penalty.

So, because traders were laughing supposedly, that means you should kill them? What gives a man the right to kill another man for such juvenile offense? Tell me!  angry

Even when I read that reasoning over again, I can see why Nigeria has not progressed. It is because the Northern mind is just a like child. We can look at Sanusi's statements to see how juvenile a Northerner can be.
so if you think what they did is right ofter killing our leaders then u are sick

but that aside

lets move on, LETS BUILD A NATION
PoliticsRe: The Northern Counter-coup Of 1966: The Full Story Without Bias! by aljharem(m): 3:39am On Jul 25, 2011
EzeUche:
Of course Nigeria should be blamed for the Civil War, by invading the Eastern Region. That invasion was an act of war by any accounts. If a nation cannot protect its citizens, then the citizens have a right to declare their own nation.
ok correct, a nation should be able to protect it's citizens but at that time WE WERE JUST A NATION ONLY ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD. Moreover were regional thus it was more like a confederation of nations in a Nation

so after the killing of the northern and western leaders happen (which i agree it was still peaceful) the igbo traders SHOULD NOT HAVE REJOICE AND GLOAT about them ruling nigeria

Lastly, YOU DO NOT INVADE PEOPLE. Ijaws are doing the same now and it would not end well. You should never invade people.

Now that the war is been over ofr 40 yrs now. CAN WE MOVE ON IN BUILDING A NATION.

we keep revisting this time after time after time.
PoliticsRe: The Northern Counter-coup Of 1966: The Full Story Without Bias! by aljharem(m): 3:30am On Jul 25, 2011
EzeUche:
Katsumoto you always try to make the Igbo look like they are the bad guys in this situation. Even though the counter-coup was more brutal than the first coup which targeted people within leadership positions. You give a pass to those who committed heinous acts of brutality with RELIGIOUS undertones to it. Shame on you! Do you support the pogroms that occurred after the counter-coup by you giving a pass to the Northerners?

Your history of events is filled with revisionism. That it places the blame solely on the Ndigbo. With your generalized statements that is nothing but pure BS.
please who should be blamed for the civil war?

answer objectivly and do not insult
