Now why did you go on your usual killing orgassmic spree of Non Muslims when the Miss world pageant was suppose to take place in a Niger Delta state in Calabar located far away from your medieval North . . . Answer that or you quit playing the victim cos it's obvious who likes to Lord their desires and wishes over others often with a prize of shedding of innocent blood . . jmaine you dey surprise me o miss world killing was NOT DONE IN THE NAME OF ISLAM but uneducated youths that the police should have arrested. 2. there is no desire or wishes, IT IS A WAY OF LIFE do we tell the yorubas not to do there eyo festival or igbos to stop there maskuraids No have we told Igbos and other SE people to stop eating human, NO it is there way of life and as such they are free to practise this. sharia was introduced to Northern states alone even when other muslims complain that they wanted it, but because of like of southerners, it could not be done |

bamosagie: I think Bornu or Bauchi would be an ideal location for the plant. most of this boko guys would have real work to do for a change, and if they feel like blowing up the infastructure when they are high, we dont need to stop them. we simply beg them to do it! dinggle: I'm eager to know the location of the plant, so I can live far away from it. if boko haram blows it up, the whole country would suffer from radiation and post radiation effect. so whether it is borno and you live in abuja or lagos, benin republic or cameroun, u will all suffer from it one way or the other. so it is best put in a violent free zone |

Horus: There is concerns about nuclear terrorism. I can imagine nuclear waste finding its way into the hands of Boko Haram. and what would they use it to do ? . do they even know what to use it for moreover, the radiation would have killed them as they do not HAVE the proper container to hold the waste from licking |

amblors: i understand its a cheap source of power, but, can we manage it? ---- this is the most serious concern where would it be built? Yes i believe we can but the thing would not be easy first of all, the workers working there have to be the highest paid workers in the country. 2. if has to be done in a region where employment is very low so you can get very eager men and women 3. there have to be an emergency team, they have to be drilled everyday so they can be on there toes if all of that is done then i think we would have no problem, ofcourse we have to be prayerful as a country not to have one ideeiot kill us all. |

biggest problem is maintenance which could result in loss of plenty lives, i say NO to it. sorry please we are not UK unless you have another alternative to a cheap source of power supply that would power at least 80 million homes ? |
Politics › Re: Olorunimbe Mamora As The Next Lagos State Governor? by aljharem(m): 12:03am On Jul 30, 2011 |
CuteTj: Let me educate you nairalanders more on Lagos State politics. In 1998 AD & APP was formed in lagos by politicians like Chief Bola Ige, Mrs. kofoworola Bucknor, Chief Olu Adebanjo e.t.c. At the launching of APP in Abuja, there was a disagreement about sharing of posts therefore Chief Bola Ige then decided to create a ''YORUBA PARTY'' although he didn't create it only for the ''YORUBAS'' people from other tribes were encouraged and allowed to join. That was how AD was formed. Some politicians who weren't lagosians but were members of old political parties like the defunct SDP & NRC and those that were already involved in politics in Lagos State therefore joined any of the 3 existing political parties as at that time. When Tinubu returned to Nigeria after Abacha's death, it was in Otunba Alebiosu aka Bush, currently a member of the Governor's Advisory Council in Lagos State and the father of Hon. Dayo Alebiosu representing Kosofe constituency at the Federal House of Representatives living room Tinubu was advised to run in the governorship election and the rest you all know is history now. The thing there is that majority of those controling Lagos politics are not native lagosians. What i know is that so far you are yoruba and with the right backing you can seek any elective position in Lagos. I can further tell you how Sarah Sosan was made the Deputy Governor and why she was not allowed to return, how Princess Orelope Adefulire was made the Deputy Govenor and some other first class information about Lagos politics and am not even a lagosian! that is the point i am trying to get across them them thank you, the bolded just killed the topic i am a lagosian awori indigene myself |

Politics › Re: Ancestral DNA Results of Nigerians. by aljharem(m): 11:55pm On Jul 29, 2011 |
amor4ce: Why can't ethnicity be traced if DNA can be used to determine paternity and clarify lineages? Aren't fingerprints the result of the expression of biomarkers? Are you saying that it is impossible to get biomarkers specific to a particular group of people but then accept that biomarkers can be used to determine paternity? And yes, "pure" references can be obtained.
Do not say it is impossible if you can't picture it. biomarkers In cell biology, a biomarker is a molecule that allows for the detection and isolation of a particular cell type (for example, the protein Oct-4 is used as a biomarker to identify embryonic stem cells).[2] In genetics, a biomarker (identified as genetic marker) is a DNA sequence that causes disease or is associated with susceptibility to diseasereally biomarker can be used n different forms but in this case as you can see it is DNA sequence Now DNA sequence can be used to identify parental origin as you suggested but can you trace it back to the first "lets say yoruba man" NO how are you sure his parents are pure igbo or yoruba?? How ?? what if they are all mixed blood and thus you have catigoerised them as igbo or yoruba I know one of my friend, his name is atiku but he is died now, if they check his DNA they would likly say he is yoruba or hausa/fulani but that is not the case as his parents have mixed origins as well and as such they can not pin point his ethnicity as the reference they are using is either his parents or another person who MIGHT be mixed I hope you understand |

Onlytruth: ^^
So why do you think the middle belt and east is the best location? I am looking at the climate of the areas in Nigeria now in nigeria we have 7 types of climate/topograhy but i would shorten it into 3 we have the dense rain forest in the south we have the savanna in the middle belt we have the desert/ short grasses in the north now a nuke plant would be best suited in an open and cool place . that is why i suggested the middle belt and south at the first place Now looking at the west, it is crapped up and also has donated 1 of there states to the country looking at the middle belt, it is windy as the cool air from the ocean and hot air from the desert meet, it makes it very windy thus it is a good location looking that states like ebonyi as well, it is not a bad location but also looking at the political sides of thing, ebonyi or enugu would be an economic hub for the country in the east as people would travel there to find jobs industries would raise etc we can not put that again in the west so it is either middle belt like benue, nassawara, or east like ebonyi or enugu |

They are the most evil international operators. The old Soviet Union was better. This Russia is a red herring in technology and strategic help.
They should build it near the Kremlin. it is sad that WE as Nigerians can not really trust anyone or country in the world as we are africans and as such would want to explore us. anyway, i think we in desperate times for constant electricity NOW!!! and as such we really do not have any choice other than to accept the proposal. any how they do it, whether it is built in the middle belt or SE (the best locations) i do not really care as long as they just do the job and we can have constant electricity for cheap in the country and let the world see hw Nigeria would grow |

For your information all parts of Nigeria and Africa as a whole are poor.
You guys really look silly arguing and boasting just because one side makes $2 dollars a day and another side make $1 a day.
Pathetic.
Nairaland has to do something about these ethnocentric, uncultured things they call people.
Why does every thread on this site end in a tribal feuds. And the majority of the people who take part in these feuds don't even live in Nigeria. seriouly it is pathetic |

Even Nigerians themselves can operate the power plant if they wanted to, no big problem.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Has already approved Nigeria and have said Nigeria Is capable of handling Nuclear energy.
So whats the big deal? location? |

Someone said beside Aso rock or the National Assembly. Do you agree? lol. good question and i would suggest enugu 1) because it is a very cool enivroment when compare to other regions 2.) it would create employment for people over there and also from people migrateing from other states 3.) it is the technology capital 4.) creation of an economic hub in the east 5.) fast induralisation for the east 6.) in recieve adequate rainfall for the system etc |
