mikeansy: I find it amusing that a man willing to emerge from a process where the most important criteria were:
1. The language you speak 2. The God you pray to 3. Ethnicity or Tribe 4. A process that even considers folks like Bukola Saraki not Northern enough
Will have the temerity to accuse anyone else of threatning the cohesion of the country.
Atiku by taking part in the Ciroma process and benefiting from it lost any moral right to lecture anyone else on Unity. He has slaughtered his honour and any National appeal he had on the altar of desperation.
I call on all Southerners, Middle Belters and Yes Hausa-Fulanis from the core North who recognise that this is not how any country should choose a leader in the 21st century to stand up against this madness.
Vote for any other candiate who does not subscribe to Adamu Ciroma's version of Nigeria but Atiku Abubakar must be defeated. Adamu Ciroma is still stuck in 1957. The man must be told 50years are not 50days and Nigeria has come a long way!!!!!!!!!! gbammmmm u are very wise, may ur children give u peace as u seek peace for the nation atiku ia a disgrace to us northerners so has jonathan is a disgrace to the whole nigeria this people are corrupt and should not even get to abuja not to say aso rock |

i think u are right, but wealth would not be distributed equally in the country
secondly, there would be fight over "who owns the land" even ondo state, ijaws would say it is there land yorubas would say no,,,,,,,,,,,,also interfamily and interclan fight would occur because of peoples greed |

Omenani: One good thing about Alaigbo, is that we do not rely on oil to survive. I am comfortable with that fact. Currently, I am reading an interesting article on the resource curse that is plaguing Nigeria. We Igbos should be happy that we do not currently rely on oil and we should stay far away from oil as we can. It is very bad for development. gbam igbos have been the most business oriented people in nigeria I THINK ANY COUNTRY THAT HAS THE IGBOS IN THEM SHOULD CONCEDER THEMSELVES VERY LUCKY,,,,,,,,,,LIKE HOW NIGERIA AND GHANA AND AMERICA ARE LUCKY TO HAVE THE IGBO RACE IN THEM GOD BLESS THE IGBO RACE, YORUBA RACE, ALL NORTHERNERS AND NIGERIA AS A WHOLE |

jason12345: and that is where you are wrong!!!
he does not insult to get his point across unlike your so called igbo sons. when people have discussions whether you agree with them or not, you do not insult like uncivilised animals.
he is more reasonable than you.
it is only a nigerian forum i see people insulting you because of your different view of situations. can u see what i am saying onlytruth, lets stop this insult, let keep each other as one pls forgive my brother for the past,,,,,,,,, we still want to be part of this igbo ans southerners race |

Onlytruth: This is where you are making a mistake. If we are in an enclosure where there are only Igbos discussing, then your approach would make sense.
Dude, if you don't counter these things, it will become YOU and define YOU whether you like it or not, because a lot of people read these things.
Others would even believe it more when they see your type spending so much time to focus on the so called Igbo faults while keeping a stoic silence on others' opinion of us. Ogbara nkiti kwere ekwe!
Take a cue from other Igbo sons here. You are not more reasonable than them. In fact if you are more reasonable than all of us, then something is wrong with you. those ppl are bad ppl, they should stop this rubbish about stereotyping igbos yorubas or northerners for any reason onlytruth, let me and u stop anyone that stereotype ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what do u think |

Either way, I support this piece on the Igbo Nation. We need a complete overhaul of our modern day society. Can't worry about the rest of Nigeria when our own backyard is in flames. You mean like he has discredited his Yoruba brother OBJ who stole us blind? Or his Fashola who is currently stealing Lagos blind together with Tinubu? or like he attacked his gbomo gbomo brothers who hack off limbs and private parts for money juju?
Or like you attacked your brothers for breeding 10 million almajiris in northern Nigeria?

babapupa: So if some ibo pesin did something wrong, you wont say anything to the ibo pesin because you once did the same thing?
Like I always say, the tribe is more important to you people than right and wrong. How do you re brand yourself while perpetrating the same ills you're trying to re brand.
How do you move ahead as a credible society if the tribe trumps right and wrong?
Sounds like you people are gonna remain in the wilderness for a while.
You people think like cave men and no wonder y'all are f'ed up. baba u are right, until they show that they are mature enough to discredit bad behaviour of there brothers and some of their people then there is no hope |

Beaf: Its a bit late to disown Ciroma.
It would have been understandable if this article had come from the likes of Tsiya, Mai Suya, MShitu or other well meaning Northerners; but you've spent all your time uselessly fighting those who are very deeply frustrated at Ciroma and his likes. Ironic.
If there had been a loud and timely outcry from those Ciroma claims to represent, he wouldn't nearly have come this far.
Listen dispassionately to what others are saying. can u tell me when we ever supported ciroma,,,,,, we northerners are not trablistic as u people we think of progress of the country first before others it is just the bad leaders that have labeled us bad and backward |

omoaghe: good or bad,i dont believ in jonathan,IBB atiku. they all lack whatit takes to gonern nigeria at dis crucial point of our existence here on planet earth. Nigeria nids a visionary leader. It takes vision to deliver. Where there is no vision d people perish, they cast off restraint. Anation dat lack visioners in d leading process in heading for shipwreck. lets stand out and start a process of change.I have made a vow not to vote for these opportunist e.g IBB,SARAKI,ATIKU & GOODLUCK.Am not saying they are bad nor good all am saying is that these men are not visioners. THEY CANT C 2MOROW. ACCORDING 2 ROBERT KIYOSAKI- THEY ARE THE POOR DAD.its time to bring in d RICH DAD. PERMIT ME 2 LIST SOME FEW VISIONERS I KNOW WHO CAN ATLEAST INITIATE A CHANGE 1. BABATUNDE RAJI FASHOLA 2. COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE 3. DONALD DUKE 4. TUNDE BAKARE
THERE ARE OTHERS BUT JUST TO MENTION A FEW.AM NOT SAYIN THESE MEN ARE SAINTS BUT I THINK THEY HAVE A GOOD PASS MARK.LAGOS NOW AND 8YEARS AGO SHOWS A GREAT DIFFERENCE. EDO STATE THOUGH SHILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO,IS UNDERGOING REPOSITION. D COMRADE GOV IS TRANSFORMING PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO SOMETHING ELSE.THEY ARE NOW LIKE CORPORATE FIRMS LOOKING SO ATTRACTIVE TO LEARNING.
WE NID CHANGE,WHO WILL GO FOR US,IT A CALL 2 PRAYER LETS ASK GOD TO SEND US A MOSES. i agree me as a northerner, do not want my people to suffer because of the greed of atiku, ibb and co this people have manipulated the masses for too long i will never vote for someone just because he is from my region or because he is from pdp so long has he has tasted power and has not done anything good about it, that's it,,,,,,no vote jonathan will certainly not get the northerners vote,,,,,,,fact |

jason12345: . . . . . and that is why i laugh at Onlytruth. as i said, he is using sentiments in politics. even, arewa is spilt over GJ. what they should have done is "one leg in, one leg out".
we shall see 2011 and 2015. would'nt we?? .
the bible says,"the Lord hate the man who is sureth".
in my opinion, they should have waited patiently and understand the game of politics.
why did G pick sambo? was it for 2015?? lol. you have yet to understand the politics in Nigeria. INTEREST IS PERMANANT, LOYALTY IS TEMPORARY!. ANYWAY, LETS SEE!!! .
for the supporters of GJ,
do not insult me because GJ has not done anything seen he ascended the throne and he will not do anything. we both know it, so, lets stop the pretence. i know he will do whatever it takes to win 2011 (i mean it is "his" election).
do you all think for one second, GJ would risk the stability of the country by not giving it to the north after his tenure? .
at times, i laugh at the politics played by GJ. he has neither promised se or the north the presidency after his tenure. .
GOODLUCK JONATHAN!. I LOVE THE WAY YOU PLAY POLITICS.
and for some reasons only the north, sw and ss can see what he is doing apart from the SE?? . WAZOBIA, THAT WAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE FOUNDATION OF THE COUNTRY. WA(OBJ. first president 1999 after the military rule), ZO ( YARADUA, the second in line. GOD bless his soul) and BIA (? ? ? ? ? ? have they sold their birth right? because of a letter?)
the answer is for you to think about. anyway, the country is now under VARE.
so the new slogan is WAZOVARE. GOODLUCK TO GOODUCK JONATHAN. OUR PRESIDENT AFTER 2011. . p.s: anybody who is mature enough and unbiased would see what i am saying. also, he would not respond with insults! because this has been the tactics of pro-GJ supports to shut anyone up!!!
i maintain, this are my thoughts! gbammmmmmmmmm most of this ppl on this forum do not understand the politics in nigeria, they think this is america IGBO U HAVE SOLD UR VOTES TO BEAF |
