The thread is quiet, I thought my two days absence I will see a lot of updates from u guys, where is Davisss, nadensel and co. lets keep d thread going till d very end which is almost here, we r waiting for the golden call, then preparation for camp.

The truth is always bitter, my fellow DSS cadets to be, we all knw that It is only five per state, that means not all of us will got d job, we have to start accepting d fact that what ever destined to happen in our livess most happen nomatter how determined or careless we are, the list from Abuja is already at state level now. otherwise they would not have started the background check on any body if they know at the end he/she may b rejected frm Abuja..Guys everything is at the final stages now, Camp is imminent. I wish us all the best .

did u do documentation, or jus vetting? If u did documentation, I mean filling a form with ur passport, den u are good 2 go. Buh if u jus did vetting, try to contact other 6 guys to kno if dey hv bn contacted. Even pple dat did documentation with us, not all were their parents and guardian contacted for interrogation. Jus pray and bliv God.

Pls Mr davisss how many of u did documentation in ur state??

It's been a while guys, how una day, waiting game continues, we are almost there.

We are all happy here when mightyfada announced that he is back again and he is ready for our questions as usual, not knowing that his coming back will be a curse to this thread, he is d one dat Chase the guys that use to feed this thread with reliable informations in his absence and yet mightyfada left again leaving us with nobody with inside info again, before we have @desdee, we also gat @Allan2 they give info on what they know which is always reliable, but mightyfada chased them away. mightyfada u no try for us here oh, u simply cursed our thread and that is all.

Actually not only call, they meet face to face with one of my referees and they did the same to a frnd that we met at d interview.

Yes, they visited one of my class monitor yesterday and asking how many times my name appeared in his noise makers list.

It seems like dis sss ppl are very serious wo, a frnd that we met during interview told me dat they visited one of his referees on Wednesday, asking questions about him, they later left. this shows that every thing is on process. Pls house anybody with same experience??

DSS has special vote,the budget does not affect its ops and training. Medical will be next month ending, final camp list will be out by first week of July, camp will commence second week of same month. NIA and DIA are presently undergoing a refresher course at SSA lagos. Just exercise more perseverance. Thnks

Well thanks for this update bros, but am curious to knw, pls do u mean NIA and DIA don't have their facilities for training?? plus if at all dis recruitment will be in July why do they conduct the aptitude test/interview all in February?? while camping is till July.

It could be d final list, unless if they found something they don't want in d course of the background check.

The names of successful candidates of various state commands have been forwarded to the yellow house in Abuja but have not been reveiwed by the committee set up by the DG,dats y we are having this delay.Lets exercise some patients and keep hope alive. What i can tell you guys is that not all names forwarded to Abuja will return as successful candidates because after reviewing the list,some names will be dropped.What we can do is only pray and have faith in God.

Pls can u tell us why some names will be dropped after the review, I think every scrutiny has been done at state level, for that is d place where they have access to ur details, bt in Abuja they will just process the names and return them back to the states. If any body with reliable idea contrary to this may dropped it pls.

pls am always confuse each time I open dis thread and see comment like " final list" or "golden call"
pls is d "golden call" calls after d interview?
is d final list d list after d interview or list after verifications.

Actually the final list and the golden call means the same thing, normally after interview DSS will just keep quiet for a while for background check of the candidates and other formalities, then later every command will call the successful ones usually very few from 5 to less than 10. they give them the list of items they need in camp, and also the date to resume to camp and other relevant instructions. So that call is the golden call we are all talking about

The Thread is dead due to avoidable reasons, so now me and ppl like me gat no where to cool our desperation and curiosity when in need of info, its too bad right??

We started moving together on this thread, u are providing us with reliable informations regarding this recruitment, all of a sudden the thread turned to entirely some thing else, bt u have to knw, nomatter how good or bad u are ppl must appreciate or criticize u, some times u may even be subjected to abuse or embarrassment, so all this proved to us that we are humans not robots, pls dnt just go, be strong, remember we are so close we still need important things to talk about, eg when finally the D-day comes, we still need to share a lot of things. It is really not d right time to go. We need every body here to contribute lets move together until the very end, as with the 2012 and 2014 sss recruitment threads, even after the lucky ones made it they still hang on and share relevant info and they even create a way on how they can identify themselves in d camp.

After POP everybody is posted to various states but not ur state of origin except by luck or chance, and yes sir DSS dont permit bears, u must always shave clean.

If I understand him well he mean the posting during the three months IT, is it that one will be posted to his state of origin for the IT or another state??

What made you think if you as a prospective DSS Officer will know the answer to the question u asked above, Mightyfada won't know the answer let's assume he is a blogger as u claimed not a DSS officer as he claimed to be. Mind you dat most of the real bloggers can easily get their ways to get some infos if they want to.
Besides, a true DSS Officer won't answer this kinda coded question in a public like this forum. So, better chill with yo question and forget about who is a true DSS or NOT.
We are here for a relevant infos and let's free who ever is here to drop infos for us whether he/she is a DSS or not.
And if you a ardent follower of this thread right from day 1, you will see where he mentioned dat he is a Computer Science man by profession and wanted to go for MSc bfr the DSS job clicked for him and he is about to go for MSc in Criminology.
Am not saying all what he has said are true but I av no option dan to take it as he had said. After all, nothing concern me with his personal life for now, am only here for relevant infos.

Bros, interviews for detectives is done atleast in my state, and the recruitment process are usually uniform all over the country, bt am nt so sure for Edo state sha.

Once they are through, they would give the state go ahead.

The names might pass 5 depending on your state command.

SIO1 earns a basic of 145k so do d math. stop sayin wat u dnt knw. even d salary of an ASP of police on grade 7 is far different from an ASP on level8 with nearly 20k. mighty fada i warn u to desist from parading urself as an officer

this administration is the worst administration in terms of recruitment. You must know somebody that knows somebody before u can get any job.

This is ur opinion man, we are nt yet up to a year into this administration. We can't just wake up in d morning and start judging.

Well what we heard before was 5. Some states submitted 5 while others submitted 7. It all depend on the state director and the rapour with DG.

But one thing am so sure of is that it cant reach 10.

As for the camping date, we cant say.
