obichol: Am happy to join umunwanne m that love farming. My name is Obiora, am from Ogidi, I based in PH and have fish farm that house 14000 fishes. Am also into poultry farming though in a small scale. I need to expand this business to Anambra. But my challenge is where I will get cheap land with low water table. Thanks to you guys . HOW CHEAP IS CHEAP. Cheap to you may be very expensive to me. What's your budget per plot. I have the same challenge as yourself but I think if we come together we can get over it gradually. But let's be truthful to ourselves in that Anambra land may never be a quarter as cheap as Ogun state. |

Car Talk › Re: My Mechanic Wants To Kill Me. by All4good: 10:20pm On Dec 21, 2016*. Modified: 10:49pm On Dec 21, 2016 |
cjfbn: I travelled for the weekend, came back to my base(enugu),low and behold, I had a flat battery. What caused it, I still can't tell. a colleague brought his battery started and car and put back my battery. Mine was not fully charged and I switched off the ignition. I started the car again, of course it wouldn't start, I called the guy again and this time, he rubbed his battery against mine(jump starting), the car refused to start. My super story started. Got an electrician who succeeded in starting the car but observed erved that it was not firing well. We took the car to my mechanic.. He serviced the injector noozles, changed plugs AND changed coil. This was happening in a space Of three Days and still no progress. The clown of a mechanic now told me that he wanted to bring down the TOP. I shouted in French, told him to couple my car. I now enquired for another mechanic, I was advised by my colleague to take it to Toyota Place. I never knew they were in Enugu. I quickly did, though they said that they are closing tomorrow and will treat my case in January. I quickly agreed. Though the car has not been checked with their system, the engineer was talking about catalyst converter Or something Being blocked. I just thank God that the mechanic no kill me. My people, what is catalyst converter or did I not hear well. Gurus in the house should educate me. @bold type your story became disjointed and you lost me. Electrician starts the car with already diagnosed battery condition. Off to mechanic for mis-firing condition..... Was the vehicle experiencing drags, poor acceleration or rough idling on your way back to Enugu? If not you simply would have done a step-back through the procedure the electrician just performed on your car. Catalytic converter blocked.... Is this diagnosis based on a scan?? Even if scan says it's below threshold, I suggest you ask them to follow events prior to your condition in making a final diagnosis. Disconnect the Catalytic pot and test if condition persist then it is not the catalyst. |

Agriculture › Re: How To Turn Plastic To Diesel by All4good: 1:37pm On Jul 19, 2016 |
silverink: it all depends.......you can setup the business with just 20,000, 50,000 or 100,000 the list goes on, its all about what you want.
thats to say if you want to process 50kg of plastic in a day, you'll likely spend more than someone processing 10kg of plastic in a day . here are two major things to consider when thinking setting this up.
1. PLACE getting a place can be expensive, and if you want to build, add roof, gate, fence and all the rest, you certainly know that you'll spend more compared to when you're doing this in your backyard.
2. THE SIZE OF YOUR REACTOR the size, complication and design also play a good role in determining the amount of capital you put into the business. if you're buying a big vessel for your reactor you should also not compare price with another person that's buying a small one.
there are other factors that must be considered... that's why you should not miss our one month training, cos we'll be covering a LOT. Paying for the training is not a problem but you need to assure your intending student that this won't be a wasted investment. To clear this doubt please answer questions earlier asked with clarity eg. 1. Are you saying I can buy/assemble a reactor (plant) for N20,000? How many liters per hour will it produce? 2. Plastic raw materials at N20 for 1kg. Does this plastic include PVC and PET-bottles? 3. What is the heat source? Hope Not electricity driven? Expecting further enlightenment thanks. |

Agriculture › Re: Hidden Truths About Catfish Business!!! by All4good: 8:06pm On May 12, 2016 |
excelsiorfarm: my bro you see i am not a young boy & by His Grace i had being around for a while, even in this fish thing, aside all d Hullabaloo that recently happen there's more to all than the eyes could see, but it became obvious when I began to see some requesting to form a group and posting for consultancy and I laugh. Everybody is free to showcase his/her expertise though, when there is any to showcase.
You know me, I am not concern about how long or who are/have being founding fathers, I know who are those that are sincere and with genuineness to help and have the ability to help( don't worry I read through, and by His Grace there are people that we are privileged to lead even in the society in other spheres of life that isn't business oriented), hence we look beyond works, but evaluate motives. Even those that I wrote isn't all that could be named, but every spear time I check if I could help, whether here on nairaland or quora and it was the little time I decided to cut the list short(so if I no write your name, no vex, who am I to look down on any). Also I don't form or join groups or association, but I work with all when I see sincerity.
As far back july 27, 2013, I had directed someone to a snr colleague mr fish on this thread to buy equipment, not because I learnt anything from him, but when I was in lagos (igando to be precise) I knew him and dynamos farm(was my client) to be doing something worthwhile in fish farming in Lagos and the country at large.
I do my consultancy for people within and outside the nation if need be, but I refer most to individuals on the thread or outside that I understand to give valid solutions in fish farming and other agricultural areas/challenges. Presently I am in school doing my PG and I don't want distractions, though I still get distractions from some via calls, texts,fb
So my bro, I will say I be police here(Laugh ), though someone said I should leave the young ones alone and I said until I see that the young ones has brought out new ideas/initiative that I cannot meet, then I will consider myself aged.
We all have the responsibility to manage and monitor activities on this thread for the good of all. And as usual I am still learning daily. Lets all understand that in life, some want to climb on the shoulders of others and some chooses to climb by kicking out others.
GOD BLESS and be careful how you do your works and those you associate with. Well done Mr. Excelsior. Salute to a super moderator, peacemaker and fish-farmer emeritus. On many occasions your maturity and selflessness has kept this thread alive even more than the op. Some selfish ones would have preferred to start their thread. Coming back to this thread and reading your contributions gives me hope in the goodness that lies within Nigeria and Africa at large. Hmmmm. My bible says peacemakers shall inherit the earth. May your days be long and happy Mr Excelsior. Least I forgot Goodluck in your Academic pursuit. God bless you sir. |

mrsage: I am very passionate about the transportation industry and I love to share ideas and discuss prospects and challenges.
In the course of my research I discovered these transport related business ideas. They are all practical and can be set up here in Nigeria.
2. Towing Service-: With just one towing truck, you can start a towing business. Your job will be to help move broken down or illegally parked vehicles to a designated place.
8. Mobile oil change-: Another business idea in the transportation industry is helping people change their car oil. This is a business that requires little capital to start. These two services above can be offered together. We offer both to port-harcourt residents. See our tow truck below. For tow services and quick lube services, you can reach us on 0809 86 333 48 . Travel › Re: Where Can I Rent A Car In Nigeria by All4good: 11:47pm On Jan 16, 2016 |
Chylo: Hi, thanks for your response. I just need it for a little running around around in the woji area. From my hotel to banks, back to hotel, to joints, to my business meeting venues etc, and finally back to the airport on the last day. I notice that movement is mostly by keke around there and that's not suitable at all. Or are there any other forms of drop taxi? Thanks. Your itinerary is pretty unclogged. If you are not concerned as to your security, you can hail an un-painted taxi along the road or from your hotel and if you like the driver's 1st service, you take his number and retain him till you leave PH. However if you want some class and are particular about type of vehicle then you need to make arrangements ahead. Do have a pleasant stay in Port-harcourt. |
Travel › Re: Where Can I Rent A Car In Nigeria by All4good: 11:59pm On Jan 11, 2016 |
Chylo: Please I'm interested in renting a car for about 4 days, but for portharcourt. Please can anyone tell me how it normally works, if you know? As in the average price per day, weda fuel is included in price, where the driver will normally stay for the duration etc.
Property12 did you finally use a service? If you did, pls which one did you use, and can you pls explain how it works? Depends on where you are going to from PH and the type of vehicle you want to hire. Painted or registered cars with write-up on the body will be cheaper than plain cars. You can bargain to fuel the vehicle yourself that brings cost of hiring down. Give more details of your proposed trip then I can help further. Cheers. |
