When the Ink Fades, you have to keep getting it recolored, and when you are 40 years of age, with a family and kids to feed, the last thing on your mind is getting a tat you got when you were 19, recolored and re-modernized with updated Ink

am sure Shaving (though not explicitly stated like your meaning when referenced with the books) is not sinning. however there are afew exceptions, of when the hairs have been dedicated to signify a commitment spiritually...take Samson, Samuel,etc for example, then shaving would be seen as not only sin but a failure to uphold a convenant or commitment.
