Too many attack on pdp before the elections from Gov. Adams.
1. A truck accident on his convoy which may just have been a normal accident
2. The students attack at okada which is as a result of the Gov failed promise to visit them with the excuse that it was getting late.
3. Gov Adams expressed fears that inec was not going to do a good job.
4, Acusing pdp of being behind the murder of his private secretary.
5. ....and other fears.
All are his strategies to whip up sentiments geared towards winning the election.
He now has the madate & should work for the overall good of the state as his performance now will determine his political future.

Yes am a commercial farmer applying modern farming technics to bring down production cost. Hence, i can easily deliver a standard cob of fresh maize for N6. For example i deliver 100,000 fresh corn at N6 to you, you inturn sell to consumers at N20. You would have made not less than 150% profit on your investment which have a waiting period of 3 months.
An advance booking is required to be part of late planting starting in august 2012.

What i do is grow maize for marketers @ N6/standard size. We agree on quantity eg. 50,000 standard size. 50,000xN6 =N300,000. A deposit is made for land preparation, planting, weed control & fertilzer. Balance paid at havest time. Farm site is in ogun state. I grow maize in 3 months for N6/standard cob.
100,000 cobs gives you N2m while your investment is N600,000. You only pay a deposit and pay the balance during harvesting.

It is disturbing to see maize being sold for about N50 when the cost of producing a standard cob of fresh maize on the farm is N6.

My expectation is that having charged marketers N6 to grow a standard cob of maize, giving an investment period of below 4 months, a 100% profit on investment is ok. Making it available to consumers at N20 or worst N25.

For security & environmental issues, it is ok but there is the need to provide a temporary abode for the displaced people.
