The public is asked to help the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) locate a lady who was seen on camera abusing a child.

In a post published on its verified social media handle @LSdsva on Saturday, the agency strongly denounced the behavior and urged people to come forward with any information that could assist locate the woman. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The viral video showed the woman using a rod to beat the baby for urinating on the floor while disregarding the child’s cries.

She proceeded to push the baby to the ground and even stepped on the infant’s stomach with both legs.

The Lagos DSVA, in response to the disturbing footage, encouraged the public to reach out to the agency if they had any details regarding the location of the incident.

“Trigger warning. Our attention has been drawn to the video. It cannot be ascertained if the perpetrator in the video is the mother of the child or a maid.

“Anyone with information about the person involved or the location, kindly send us a DM or call our Toll Free Line – 08000333333 to make a report,” it wrote.

While the video caused severe outrage on social media, some users condemned the cameraman for capturing the gruesome act without action.

Three die after consuming expired drugs in Kaduna

According to reports, three persons in the Kabala Doki community in Kaduna State’s Kaduna North Local Government Area perished after taking expired medications.

Currently, two more young people are in the hospital due to drug expiration.

Residents speculated that the narcotics might have come from cars that were seized and put up for auction by customs at the Kabala Doki Area Command a few days prior, during which the victims took part in the vehicles’ evacuation. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Abdulsalam Lawal, Ibrahim Kabiru, and Muhammad Auwal Abubakar were the three victims’ names.

Unaware that the pills had expired years ago, he told us that the young people had retained the outdated medications with the intention of using them during the Eid celebration.

One victim, before passing away on Monday, April 8, admitted to taking the expired drugs and sharing them with others, Bawa added.

The Public Relations Officer of the Customs Area Command of Kabala Doki, Muhammad Amin, clarified that their role was limited to auctioning off vehicles, and they do not know how or where the youths acquired the drugs.

The Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansur Hassan, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the youths’ deaths.

Early on Saturday, March 2, two teachers from Westridge Primary School in Belvedere, Zimbabwe, were discovered having sex.

Prior to being apprehended, local media revealed that Nomathamsanqa Nyathi, 36, and Thomas Chikanga, 51, had been having an affair since last month.

Nyathi is accused of using her husband’s deployment as a pretext to carry out the affair. She has been charged with exposing her kids, notably her 16-year-old daughter, to Chikanga. She allegedly concealed the true nature of their connection by telling them that Chikanga’s trips were necessary for his job as a teacher. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Chikanga would have sleepovers at Nyathi’s Budiriro home and then slip away to his Highfield home before the crack of dawn to avoid being seen by the children. However, the two were recently caught in bed when Nyathi’s husband, Noel Matiza, unexpectedly returned from Kadoma following a tip-off.

Speaking to H-Metro, Chikanga claimed that Nyathi had informed him that she had separated from her husband, which was the reason he had spent numerous nights at her place. Chikanga, who is also married, mentioned that there was no reason to continue the affair since Nyathi had lied to him.

He said;

“She lied to me that she had separated with her husband and that is why I slept here several times. We fell in love at the school where we share subjects for one class and we felt for each other and I had planned to take her in as my second wife. We started dating sometime in February this year. I do not see it right to continue with the affair after learning that Nomathamsanqa is still with her husband. I cannot be used to settle her differences with her husband.”

Nyathi on her own part said she had an itch that needed to be scratched since her husband had neglected her and had not been coming back home from Kwekwe, where he works, for some time.

She said;

“There was nothing I could do since my husband had abandoned me for long. I ended up dating my workmate and was prepared to be his second wife.”

Her husband told the same publication that this was the second time he had caught her pants down with another man. The first time they separated after he found out that she was bedding his workmate. Matiza did not physically harm both Chikanga and Nyathi but said he was going to take Chikanga’s underwear to a native doctor.

Reactions on social media have been triggered by a widely shared video purportedly showing a secondary school student (SS3) purchasing an expensive Mercedes.

The student reportedly bought the automobile on his own, according to the TikTok video that car dealer @sadiqmotors1 posted online. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Fast-forwarding to school, the SS3 student parked the red Mercedes next to a fence.

His driving abilities and superb parking skills were comparable to those of an experienced driver.

While sharing the video on TikTok, the car salesman expressed disbelief at the circumstances, alleging that the student purchased the vehicle himself.

Sharing the video, the car deal captioned it, “Wahala. SS3 student bought a Benz and drove it to school,” he captioned the video.”
