CelebritiesAccused Of Theft To Hitmakers: 5 Nigerian Artists Who Turned Scandal Into Sound! by alphonsojaybaz(op): 5:05am On Jul 16, 2025
In Nigeria’s music scene, the journey from obscurity to stardom often comes with baggage—and sometimes, serious accusations. From internet fraud to copyright infringement and even credit card theft, some of our biggest stars have had brushes with controversy before or at the peak of their fame. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

But what makes these artists even more fascinating? They didn’t run from the drama—they made music about it. Whether as self-defense, reflection, or a loud comeback, these songs turned scandal into streams and wahala into wordplay.

1. 🔥 Naira Marley & Zlatan – “Am I a Yahoo Boy?” & “4 Nights in Ekohtiebo”
In May 2019, Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile were arrested by the EFCC over alleged links to internet fraud (aka “Yahoo Yahoo”). It was one of the biggest headlines of that year.

Did they shy away? No chance.

Naira Marley responded with the viral track “Am I a Yahoo Boy?”, a cheeky and provocative banger that called out his accusers. Zlatan followed up with “4 Nights in Ekohtiebo”, a gritty reflection on their time in EFCC detention.

🎧 Both songs turned public ridicule into a badge of rebellion—and cemented their street cred.

2. 🎵 Davido – “Gobe” and the Song Theft Saga
In 2013, Davido dropped “Gobe”, a catchy tune that rocked Nigerian airwaves. But drama followed fast—another artist named Password accused him of stealing the song.

Turns out, Davido had purchased the rights, but confusion about the transaction led to public backlash. Instead of hiding, Davido owned the moment, clarified the deal, and Gobe went on to be one of the year’s biggest songs.

🎧 The controversy added buzz, not backlash—and Davido came out stronger.

3. 🎤 Tekno – “Jogodo” and the Danfo Drivers Dust-Up
In 2018, Tekno released “Jogodo”, which heavily sampled the Danfo Drivers’ early-2000s hit. But he did it without permission—and the iconic duo weren’t having it.

Danfo Drivers called him out publicly. To his credit, Tekno didn’t pull the superstar card. He apologized, met them in person, and resolved the matter respectfully—while Jogodo kept trending on the charts.

🎧 No diss track, no drama escalation—just real man behavior and a massive hit.

4. 🎶 2Baba (2Face Idibia) – “African Queen” and Blackface’s Credit Claim
African Queen remains one of Nigeria’s most iconic love songs. But beneath the sweet melody was a bitter feud. Blackface, 2Baba’s former Plantashun Boiz bandmate, claimed he wrote the song and was never credited.

The beef dragged on for years. Eventually, the issue landed in court, and Blackface was officially acknowledged and credited as a co-writer.

🎧 No response track from 2Baba—but the royalty updates and legacy correction did the talking.

5. 🚨 Dammy Krane – “Why” After Credit Card Theft Arrest
In 2017, Dammy Krane was arrested in Miami for attempting to use a stolen credit card to charter a private jet. The arrest shocked fans, especially as photos and court docs went viral.

Once released, Dammy dropped a heartfelt track titled “Why”, in which he reflected on his struggles, fame, and the mistakes he made.

🎧 While his career never fully recovered, “Why” was a sincere attempt to tell his side of the story.

🧠 Quick Recap:
Artist Allegation Musical Response Outcome
Naira Marley & Zlatan Internet fraud (EFCC arrest) “Am I a Yahoo Boy?” / “4 Nights…” Viral hits, more fame
Davido Song theft claim (Password) Clarified purchase, no diss “Gobe” stayed a hit
Tekno Sampling Danfo Drivers without credit Apologized, met with artists “Jogodo” remained popular
2Baba Songwriting credit dispute (Blackface) Legal credit eventually resolved “African Queen” legacy intact
Dammy Krane Credit card fraud (U.S. arrest) “Why” Public sympathy, low-key comeback
🎤 Final Take: From Accusation to Anthem
What do you do when everyone’s pointing fingers at you? If you’re a Nigerian artist, you hit the studio.

From Naira Marley’s defiant anthems to Tekno’s public apology, these artists proved one thing: music is more than sound—it’s a survival tool.

In a country where gossip flies faster than buses on Third Mainland Bridge, owning your story in your lyrics might just be your best defense.

EducationBodies Of Two Missing AAUA Students Found Near Ondo-ekiti Border by alphonsojaybaz(op): 6:06am On Jul 15, 2025
…it’s sad moment for us, AAUA students

The two missing students of the Ondo State owned Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Andrel Eloho Okah, and John Friday Abba, have been found dead.

The corpses of Okah, of the Department of History and International Studies in the Faculty of Art and Abba of the Department of Economics in the Faculty of Agriculture at the state university, were found over the weekend.

The sad development occurred three weeks after the duo were declared missing from the institution by their coursemates.

The concerned colleagues had begun a search for the duo a week after they failed to report for academic activities on campus and subsequently reported to the police.

A security source who confided in our reporter confirmed the death of the two undergraduate students in a chat on Sunday.

“It’s sad to inform you that the two missing AAUA students have been killed by their suspected abductors, and their dead body have been found where they kept them.

Reps seek special erosion fund for Ondo
“Some of our men are already on their way to recover their corpses inside the bush at a border town between Akoko and Ekiti,” the source said.

An impeccable student in the school, who did not want his name mentioned, also confirmed the sad news, saying the university has been enveloped with darkness following the death of the duo.

“Yes, it’s true. Their corpses have been located inside the bush. It’s sad moment for us as colleagues. There’s darkness everyone as i speak, people are mourning,” he said.

Olayinka Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, promised to get back when contacted over the development.

The Nation had reported that the whereabouts of the two undergraduate students, who are both in their second year [200L] in the state owned university, had become a mystery.

Worried by the grim possibilities, the relations of the two students had reportedly began a frantic search for the duo and also reported the matter to the law enforcement agencies.

TravelTop 5 Infamous Areas Where 419 Boys Hunt Fresh Mugu In Lagos by alphonsojaybaz(op): 5:59am On Jul 15, 2025
Welcome to Lagos, where the traffic is mad, the vibes are top-tier, and if you’re not careful… your wallet will learn humility.

So you’re new in town? Fresh face? New sneakers? iPhone in your back pocket like you’re in Ikoyi? Lol. You just entered the lion’s den of coded scammers, aka 419 boys — and they’re professionally trained in spotting fresh mugu. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

This survival guide is your JAPA-protection kit. Read it. Bookmark it. Share it. Or prepare to donate your phone to “the streets.”
🧠 Who Are the 419 Boys?

They’re not boys. They’re certified hustlers. Slick tongues, fake accents, and customer service sweeter than Banana Island smoothies.
They’ll call you “Chairman” as they empty your bank account with fake POS machines, fraudulent investments, and even ghost spiritual solutions.

Let’s explore the Top 5 Lagos zones where you must shine your eye like floodlight.

⚠️ 1. Computer Village, Ikeja – iPhone Today, fufu Tomorrow 📱

Ah, CV! The Apple Store of the streets. This is where a fresh mugu can lose ₦350,000 and leave with a perfectly packaged empty iPhone box.

“Oga! Come na, I go do you well. Original UK used!”

Before you know it, they’ve swapped your phone mid-counting. Or worse — sold you a cloned iPhone that thinks it’s a calculator.

🧠 Survival Tip:

Don’t enter shops led by loud whistling.

Insist on opening sealed products before paying.

Go with a tech-savvy friend (or 3).

🚧 2. CMS / Marina – Where Sharp Suits Sell Sharp Lies 💼

If Lagos had a PhD for corporate-looking scams, CMS would be the faculty. These guys are clean-shaven, English-speaking, and may even wear perfume that confuses your ancestors.

“Madam, we’re offering high-yield forex packages. ₦50k today becomes ₦300k next week.”

You think you’re investing. They think you’re donating.

🧠 Survival Tip:

If the office looks too empty to be real — it probably is.

No proof of registration = no money.

Google their company name. If nothing pops up, it’s ghost-work.

🌀 3. Oshodi Underbridge – The OG Home of Street Games 🎲

From pickpocket kings to shell game hustlers (“come and win ₦10k with just ₦200!”), Oshodi is a live-action scam academy.
You’ll hear shouts like:

“Oga, just try your luck—na you go win!”
But they already have a team in the crowd shouting fake wins. You’ll be cheering until they clean your wallet.

🧠 Survival Tip:

Don’t stop when you hear “Oga, come na!”

Put phones/wallets in your front pocket.

If you’re carrying a backpack, wear it like a baby on your chest.

💸 4. Mile 2 – Where the ATM Steals Your Card 🏧

Many Lagosians have horror stories about fake POS agents in Mile 2 who do “cash out” faster than Binance.
Even worse? ATM boys who stand around to “help” you withdraw cash — and boom! Your card goes missing or cloned.

“Ah! Na card error. Try again.”
Next thing, ₦84,000 gone like yesterday’s puff-puff.

🧠 Survival Tip:

Never let anyone “assist” you at an ATM.

Use official bank machines inside buildings.

Screenshot all transactions immediately.

🎭 5. Ojuelegba – The Drama Is Real Here 🎤

Ojuelegba has two things: traffic, and the art of 419.
You’ll meet:

Fake charity collectors

“Pastors” with urgent spiritual problems you can “sow into”

Job offer flyers that lead you into cult-like seminar traps

And men in blazers offering visa help, right on the bridge.

“Brother, your destiny is great. But you must not miss this opportunity.”

Miss it. Please, MISS IT.

🧠 Survival Tip:

Avoid unsolicited prayers and visa offers.

If it starts with “My brother, God sent me to you…” just say “He’ll call me directly.”

🔍 Real-Life Mugu Moments

“I bought an iPhone 12 at Ikeja, opened it at home — found a bar of Eva soap.” – Jide, Surulere.

“The man said he worked with a UK embassy. I paid ₦150k for visa processing. He now told me I had spiritual delay.” – Ada, Ikoyi.

“I gave a man ₦200 to try my luck on a game in Oshodi. I lost ₦14,000 by the time I ‘almost won’.” – Segun, Agege.

✅ Final Tips from Eyes of Lagos
Rule Reason
Don’t flash tech gadgets You’re advertising for free
Walk like you know where you’re going Confident people = hard targets
Ask locals before entering unfamiliar shops Reputation is everything
Trust your gut If it feels off, it is
When in doubt, JAPA from the scene Prevention is better than panic.

AutosBefore You Buy That ‘foreign Used’ In Lagos, Read This Or Cry Later by alphonsojaybaz(op): 5:45am On Jul 15, 2025
“Belgium Standard” or Nigeria-Used With 5 Owners?

You’ve seen them. Loud shirts. Sunglasses inside showroom. Voice like they own 5 car lots in Dubai.
They greet you with:

“Oga this one na direct Tokunbo o, just landed yesterday from Germany… e still dey smell abroad!”

But by the time you start engine, the stereo plays Fuji FM and LASTMA stickers are hiding under “new” seat covers.

Welcome to the wild, wild world of Lagos car dealers—where the only thing faster than the cars is the lies. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
💡 Why You MUST Read This Before Buying That ‘Foreign Used’

Because in Lagos:

Foreign used” could mean it was imported by flood water.

“Accident-free” means “accident didn’t kill the car—just wounded it.”

That “agent” could vanish before your car gets to Apapa.

Let’s break down their top tricks, where these deals go down, and how you can avoid becoming the next sob story on TikTok.
🕵️‍♂️ 1. The Berger Lie-By-Paint Job Formula

📍 Berger Auto Market is a known hotspot—tons of legit dealers, yes—but also professional repainters of accident history.

Dealer Trick:
“See the body now! Factory paint!”
❗Truth: That body has been sprayed more times than a Lagos danfo with perfume.

They’ll also tell you: “Just small repainting for aesthetics.”
Reality? The chassis is holding prayer meetings.

🤦‍♀️ 2. Mile 2: Where ‘Direct Belgium’ Is Really ‘Dusted from Cotonou’

In Mile 2 and along Badagry expressway, some agents sell cars smuggled through Seme border, calling them “American spec.”
Guess what? Those cars have no history—just mystery.

“This car was used by a pastor in Canada.”
— Meanwhile, the underbody has red mud from Ogun state.

How to spot the trick:

No proper VIN check.

Seller can’t explain customs papers.

You pay full money before seeing the car move.

🚨 3. Festac ‘Home Delivery’ Agents

They use Facebook & Instagram to post “clean cars” they never owned. You contact them, they say:

“Car is in our warehouse. Send part payment and we bring it to you.”

But after your money drops?
You’ll be blocked faster than MTN network during thunderstorm.

🎭 Red Flag:
If their “lot” is someone else’s parking space, it’s a wrap. Most real dealers in Festac have registered addresses and NIN-verified delivery options.

😩 4. Ladipo: Engine Swap Capital of Nigeria

Yes, Ladipo is heaven for parts—but hell for unsuspecting car buyers. Some smart-talking agents sell cars with:

Rewired dashboards

Diesel engines switched to petrol

Airbags that only work as decoration

“Sir, this car is sharp.”
It better be—because the brakes may not work.

Pro tip: Go with a trusted mechanic. And if they don’t let you test-drive beyond 100 meters, run.

🙏🏽 5. Ojodu/Ogba Dealers That Pray Before Lying

They start with:

“Let’s thank God for your life before we begin…”

Then end with:

“The car is just ₦4.5M. I swear on my children.”
(Meanwhile, that exact model is ₦3.2M with verified documents online.)

Religion is not warranty, abeg. Ask for CAC, verify VIN, and compare prices on Cheki.ng, Jiji, Autohub.ng before committing.
🚦 Common Dealer Red Flags (Eyes of Lagos Tested & Verified!)
🚩 Red Flag 🤔 What It Means
“Direct Belgium” with local reg plates Fake import
No test-drive allowed Car has big fault
“Agent fee” demanded before inspection Time-waster
VIN code not provided Covering accident/flood damage
Always says “price go up tomorrow” Pressure tactic
🎤 Final Word from Eyes of Lagos:

Buying a car in Lagos is like dating—they show you their best side first, but the wahala is waiting inside.

So before you go “foreign used” shopping, ask questions, verify documents, and never go alone. Don’t let cruise turn to curse.
If you’ve ever bought a car in Lagos that shocked you more than NEPA, tell us your story in the comments.

Travel6 Types Of People You’ll Meet In A Danfo (and Why You’ll Never Forget Them) by alphonsojaybaz(op): 3:42am On Jul 14, 2025
A danfo isn’t just a bus — it’s a moving storybook, a theater of real-life comedy, and sometimes, an extreme sport. Lagosians know that every danfo ride comes with unpredictable characters that turn your commute into a whole experience. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Here are six unforgettable passengers you’re bound to meet (and maybe avoid) when you hop on a Lagos danfo.

1. The Loud Phone Call Uncle 📞

This man is having a full board meeting on the bus — and you’re involuntarily part of it. He’s yelling “Tell him to send the 2.5 million today!” into his Itel phone with full confidence. No earpiece, no shame, no peace.

2. The Angry Conductor with Selective Hearing 😡👂

He’s shouting “Ojuelegba, CMS, Ojota!” at 100 decibels, but the moment you ask “Do you go to Anthony?” he suddenly can’t hear you. But try not to give him old ₦500 — his ears will work instantly.

3. The Fine Girl Pretending She’s Not Here 😐💅

She’s wearing sunglasses indoors, AirPods in, and she’s not making eye contact with anyone. Danfo? What danfo? She’s mentally in an Uber Black.

4. The Guy Selling Herbal Medicine for “Everything” 🌿🧪

He starts off calmly: “Good morning my brothers and sisters in the Lord.” Next thing you know, he’s pitching bitters that cure typhoid, heartbreak, and poverty — for just ₦200.

5. The Prayer Warrior at 6:30 AM 🙏🔥

Before the danfo even moves, you hear “Let us pray.” She’s praying for journey mercies… and possibly deliverance from your sins. You can’t say “Amen” fast enough.

6. The One Who Doesn’t Pay (and Hops Off Mid-Traffic) 🏃‍♂️💨

Every danfo has that one agile escape artist. The conductor’s yelling “My money na!” — but this guy has already vanished into traffic. Every passenger watches, quietly respecting his hustle.
👀 Final Thoughts:

Danfo rides are wild, noisy, hilarious, and unforgettable. These characters are what make Lagos Lagos. If you’ve never experienced them, are you even really a Lagosian?

Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, was previously a practicing Christian. In an exclusive interview with Afrik Media, Juma Jux shared how the religious switch came about. He admitted it wasn’t easy to convince her at first, but with patience and guidance from respected Islamic scholars, Priscilla gradually embraced the Islamic faith.
How Priscilla Ojo Embraced Islam

Juma revealed that the decision was not forced or rushed. Religious leaders advised him to handle the matter delicately and respectfully. Over time, Priscilla asked questions, sought understanding, and attended private teachings with imams who helped her explore the faith.

“They showed me how to answer her questions without pressure,” Jux explained. “She wanted to learn on her own terms, and eventually, she made the decision from the heart.”
A Wedding That Captivated Two Nations

The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony earlier this year that spanned both Nigeria and Tanzania. The first leg took place in Lagos, with a traditional Yoruba introduction ceremony. Days later, the celebration moved to Dar es Salaam, where it continued with music, fashion, and cultural displays.

Notable guests included Diamond Platnumz, Zuchu, and Nigerian fashion influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa. Priscilla stunned in an elegant gold-embroidered gown paired with a matching headscarf, while Jux wore a classic white jalabia.
“I Dreamed About the Wedding Before It Happened”

During the same interview, Jux shared a personal story about how he saw their wedding in a dream months before it happened. “I dreamed the colors, the people, the music – everything. I just knew it was going to happen,” he said.

He added that he feels incredibly fortunate to have found someone who shares his values and long-term vision. “She’s everything I prayed for,” he said.
Who is Priscilla Ojo?

Priscilla Ojo, 24, is a fashion entrepreneur, social media influencer, and daughter of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo. With over a million followers on Instagram, she has built a name for herself in the Nigerian fashion and lifestyle space. Her mother publicly gave her blessing to the union in late 2024.

Celebrities“I Battled Porn Addiction, Yet Married As A Virgin” – Gospel Star, Gaise Baba by alphonsojaybaz(op): 12:36am On Jul 13, 2025
I Battled Porn Addiction, Yet Married a Virgin” – Gospel Star Gaise Baba Drops Shocking Confession

Popular gospel artiste Gaise Baba has left fans stunned after opening up about his personal battles, shocking struggles, and unlikely breakthrough. In a recent interview, the “No Turning Back” singer revealed that he became addicted to pornography at the age of 15—a dark chapter in his life that remained hidden even as he maintained his spiritual walk. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In fact, it was shortly after that I got addicted to porn. I knew that under the right temperature and pressure, any man can fall,” he confessed.

Despite his struggles, Gaise Baba said he remained celibate and got married as a virgin, a decision that has earned him both respect and controversy within Christian circles.

But his story doesn’t stop at addiction and purity. According to the singer, his major career breakthrough came at a deeply emotional time—just two weeks after the passing of his mother.

“This season everybody’s talking about kicked off like two weeks after my mom passed. Fame came at a point that I was no longer looking for it,” he said.

The Rise of “No Turning Back”

While Gaise Baba first released “No Turning Back” in 2024, it wasn’t until he dropped the remix featuring Pastor Lawrence Oyor that the song truly exploded. The track has since gone viral, becoming an anthem among young Christians—and surprisingly, non-Christians too.

What makes this even more remarkable is that many fans didn’t even know there was an original version of the song. The remix, filled with raw passion, authenticity, and revivalist energy, seems to have connected deeply with a generation searching for meaning and spiritual direction.
From Hidden Battles to Public Breakthrough

Gaise Baba’s story is one of redemption and grace. His transparency is rare in an era where perfection is often projected, especially in religious circles. By sharing his past, he’s giving hope to young people struggling with secret addictions, reminding them that purity is possible, and breakthrough is never too far—even after deep loss.
Final Thoughts

Gaise Baba is more than just a gospel artist—he’s a voice for this generation. His honesty, pain, and passion have made him relatable in a way that most celebrities avoid. As his song continues to inspire millions, one thing is clear: there’s no turning back for Gaise Baba.

PoliticsSchool Na Scam? Over 20 Master’s Holders Beg For Cameraman Job — Nigeria’s Desce by alphonsojaybaz(op): 6:16pm On Jul 12, 2025
School Na Scam? Over 20 Master’s Holders Beg for Cameraman Job — Nigeria’s Descent into Academic Doom

Once upon a time, Nigerians were told “education is the key.” Today, that same education is unlocking absolutely nothing.

In a now‑viral moment that has left many shocked and others numb, over 20 Master’s degree holders—yes, people who spent over a decade in the formal education system—lined up to apply for a cameraman job advertised by TikTok influencer Peller, he made having a Master’s degree a requirement for the job. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
🧠 A Cameraman Job… for Master’s Degree Holders?

Welcome to Nigeria in 2025. Here, TikTok creators become overnight millionaires and degree holders are chasing them for employment.

Peller, who openly admits he never finished secondary school, threw open a ₦500,000‑per‑month cameraman role—but only Master’s degree holders need apply.

“Banks are paying ₦60k to MSc holders. I’m offering ₦500k, why not make it competitive?” — Peller, on TikTok

In just hours, 16 men and 4 women with Master’s degrees showed up—some wearing suits, others just desperate to be seen.

The same people society told to “go to school, get a good job.” Today they are begging an influencer with no formal education to hold a camera.
💣 The Death of Merit, Rise of Clout

This isn’t just about Peller. It’s about a nation‑wide collapse of meritocracy.

Nigeria now rewards virality, not value. Skill, not schooling. Clout, not competence.

Thousands of First‑Class graduates are jobless. PhD holders drive Uber in Abuja. Master’s degree holders fight over ₦50k teaching jobs.

Meanwhile, a TikTok star casually tells degree holders: “Show me your MSc to hold my camera.”

If this isn’t a national emergency, what is?
📉 School Na Scam?

A new Nigerian proverb is forming in real time:

If you no get connection or skill, your certificate fit no matter.

For millions of youths, it’s not despair—it’s reality.

You spend 6 years getting a BSc; add 2 more for a Master’s—yet still come out jobless. Meanwhile, someone with data, a ring light, and followers is hiring.
💔 Peller’s Audacity: A Mirror to Our Broken System

Peller didn’t just expose joblessness—he humiliated academia.

A man without WAEC is setting terms for people with double honors. Degrees are mocked; interviews administered like Google Search—but the real shame? It worked. They came. They begged. They agreed.

Because in Nigeria 2025, clout is king, and degrees are optional disappointment.
🧠 But Wait—There’s Worse: Youth Fraud in Secondary Schools

As if academic failure weren’t bad enough, Nigeria’s younger generation is increasingly turning to fraud—even at the secondary school level.

Just days ago, a Senior Secondary School (SS1) student—not yet 18 years old—allegedly bought a Mercedes‑Benz that broke the internet. The video showed him surrounded by cheering friends; his father even demanded he return the car.

This case isn’t isolated. There’s growing concern about fraud culture penetrating secondary schools, as teenagers seek fast money and flaunt luxury they can’t legitimately afford.

Many of these kids are introduced to online scams—“Yahoo boys,” sextortion, crypto scams—through peer networks and even cyber‑fraud academies known as “hustle kingdoms,” where minors as young as 13 learn swindling.

These stories reflect deep societal rot—education has failed, jobs are scarce, and criminal shortcuts seem easier than studying.
🧠 So, What Now?

This is not just a call‑out—it’s a warning.

If we continue like this:

Even more graduates will flee the country (Japa).

Education will be mocked, not admired.

Skilled labor—not academic titles—will supply real value.

Properties5 Lagos Landlords You Should Fear More Than EFCC by alphonsojaybaz(op): 11:51am On Jul 10, 2025
5 Lagos Landlords You Should Fear More Than EFCC

If you think EFCC is scary, wait till you meet these Lagos landlords.

Renting in Lagos is not just about affordability — it’s about survival. Here are 5 types of landlords that make you question if your rent came with a side of spiritual warfare. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

1. The Landlord Who Shows Up Every Morning — Like NEPA

They say a landlord is supposed to collect rent and bounce, but this one? He’s your new roommate.
Before the sun rises, he’s already banging on your door:
“Aunty, that your visitor yesterday, is he your brother?”
He’s inspecting clotheslines, peeking through windows, and asking when you’re washing the gutter next. Living under this landlord is like living under surveillance — except NEPA takes more breaks.

2. The One Who Lives in the BQ But Runs the Main House Like Big Brother

You thought renting the main house meant privacy. Wrong.
He lives in the back, but knows who you bring home, how long your light is on, and how loud your TV volume goes.
This landlord is always “just passing” and conveniently forgets he lives on the same compound.
Need a plumber? He’s already “fixed it.”
Want peace? Start fasting.

3. The Landlord Who Wants “Body Rent”

This is not just a horror story — it’s a reality for too many Nigerian women.
The rent agreement is unwritten: “No boyfriend, but me I go come around.”
These landlords turn into predators, promising “discounted rent” in exchange for unspeakable offers.
Predatory landlords are the true definition of fear God o.

4. The One That Collects Two Years’ Rent and Then Disappears Into Thin Air

You paid in full. You even gave agency fees, caution fees, security dog fee, and “legal” fees.
But by month two, you’re chasing your landlord like you’re in a Nollywood action scene.
When the roof starts leaking and there’s no light for days, you call him.
No response.
Last seen: Snapchatting in Dubai.
New bio: “God’s Timing Is Perfect.”

5. The Landlord Who Suddenly Becomes a Prophet After You Pay Rent

One minute he’s negotiating your payment plan.
Next minute, he’s speaking in tongues and asking all tenants to join Mountain of Fire Tuesday vigil.
Don’t flush the toilet at night, or he’ll say your spirit is disturbing the compound.
If your friend visits twice, they’re now “marine spirits.”
Rent becomes tithe, and your room is now a prayer closet.
Conclusion: Pray Before You Pay

Lagos landlords can humble the strongest men.
So before you sign that next rental agreement, ask the real questions:

Does he live here?

Does he believe in boundaries?

Does he have a church registration number?

Because sometimes, the EFCC might just be safer.

Foreign AffairsTrump Allegedly Threatened To “bomb Moscow” To Deter Putin From Invading Ukraine by alphonsojaybaz(op): 4:34pm On Jul 09, 2025
Former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly claimed he threatened to “bomb the sh*t out of Moscow” if Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine, according to bombshell audio recordings obtained by CNN and detailed in the new political book 2024.

The tapes, reportedly recorded during private fundraisers in New York and Florida, feature Trump boasting to donors about his aggressive foreign policy strategy, which he says kept global adversaries in check.
💣 “He Didn’t Believe Me—But He Believed Me 10%”

“With Putin I said, ‘If you go into Ukraine, I’m going to bomb the sh*t out of Moscow. I have no choice,’” Trump said at a 2024 fundraising event.
“He goes, ‘I don’t believe you.’ But he believed me 10%.”

Trump also allegedly made a similar threat to Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding Taiwan, saying:

“He thought I was crazy… But we never had a problem.”

🔊 Leaked Tapes Offer Rare Glimpse Into Trump’s Private Strategy

The never-before-aired audio recordings also reveal Trump:

Blaming current wars in Ukraine and Gaza on the Biden administration.

Expressing discontent with Putin, saying “they’re throwing a lot of bullsh*t.”

Claiming he could have prevented both wars had he remained in office.

At the events, Trump painted himself as the only leader capable of projecting strength abroad and restoring order at home.
🇺🇸 Controversial Statements on Protesters and Donors

Trump also sparked outrage with statements on:

Student protesters: “Any student that protests, I would throw them out of the country.”

Political donations: Boasting that a donor who pledged $1 million eventually gave $25 million after pressure.

Voter behavior: “The welfare people will always vote for Democrats,” he said, urging his “Jewish friends” to back the GOP.

“If you get me elected, we will set that movement [liberal activism] back 25 to 30 years,” Trump added.

Politics“give Us A Break” — Nigerian Presidency Fires Back At IMF Over Harsh Economic Re by alphonsojaybaz(op): 7:55pm On Jul 08, 2025
“Give Us a Break” — Nigerian Presidency Fires Back at IMF Over Harsh Economic Report

The Nigerian government has reacted strongly to a recent International Monetary Fund (IMF) report criticizing the country’s economic performance, with a top presidential aide urging the global financial institution to “give Nigeria a breather.” Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The report, released on July 7, 2025, and titled “How Nigeria Can Unleash Its Economic Potential,” accused Nigeria of failing to make meaningful progress in tackling inflation, reducing poverty, or boosting investor confidence despite recent reforms.
IMF’s Concerns: Inflation, Poverty, and Policy Weakness

The IMF noted that:

Inflation remains persistently above 20%

Food insecurity has worsened

Government policies have shown limited impact

There is need for firmer monetary policy, effective budgetary discipline, and a transparent redistribution of fuel subsidy savings

The Fund also advised aligning Nigeria’s tax rates with regional standards once the national cash transfer system becomes fully operational.

“The country needs stronger and more sustained growth to lift millions out of poverty and food insecurity,” the report stated.

Presidency Claps Back: “Let Us Breathe”

Reacting during a live interview on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs, Tope Fasua, criticized the IMF’s remarks, calling them “discouraging,” “destabilizing,” and poorly timed.

“This administration under President Tinubu has done some of the deepest reforms in decades… We just passed tax relief bills for low-income earners and small businesses,” Fasua said.

“We haven’t even allowed those reforms to settle, and yet the IMF is issuing fatalistic statements that leave everyone confused.”

Fasua argued that despite Nigeria’s efforts—such as repaying $3 billion of its COVID-19 IMF loan—the country continues to face pressure from the Fund.

“We’re not asking for a pat on the back; we’re saying give us a break. We’re rebuilding a broken system. We’ve removed the roof and are working on the foundation. How do you expect full comfort in two years?”

“Let the Poor Breathe” — Government Defends Reform Path

Fasua referenced President Bola Tinubu’s famous quote, saying:

“Like the president would say, ‘Let the poor breathe.’ The IMF keeps recommending even more painful reforms, but we must consider the social impact.”

He also noted that:

Interest rates are stabilizing, with the Central Bank considering gradual reductions

Inflation, while still high, has been declining for three consecutive months

The IMF’s tone lacks economic realism, saying: “An economist is not a fantasist.”

FamilyMan Dies In Lagos While Visiting Girlfriend After Telling Wife He Was In Norther by alphonsojaybaz(op): 7:40pm On Jul 07, 2025
Man Dies in Lagos While Visiting Girlfriend After Telling Wife He Was in Northern Ireland

A heartbreaking story has emerged on social media, revealing how a Nigerian man tragically lost his life in Lagos while secretly visiting his girlfriend—after telling his wife he was traveling to Northern Ireland for a work seminar. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The emotional account was shared by the man’s British wife via a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), sparking a wave of sympathy and shock online.
A Two-Week “Work Trip” That Ended in Tragedy

According to the grieving widow, her husband, a Nigerian man based in the UK, had informed her that he would be away for two weeks in Northern Ireland to attend a professional lecture. However, just days later, she received a distressing phone call that would change her life forever.

“My husband told me he was travelling to Northern Ireland for a lecture which would last two weeks. Then I got a call saying he was in a Lagos hospital fighting for his life,” she wrote.

She later discovered that he had been in Nigeria the entire time, and not for work—but to visit a girlfriend.
“He Lied and Died There” — Widow Shares Painful Truth

The woman, who revealed that she and her husband had been married for 15 years and shared three children, was devastated to learn of his deceit.

“He kept in touch via video calls, especially when he said he was back in his hotel. Then one day, he didn’t answer. Eventually, someone picked up and told me he had been in an accident.”

Her husband’s younger brother later broke the news of his death, confirming that he had never gone to Northern Ireland — but was in Lagos all along.

“I asked, ‘Wasn’t he in Northern Ireland?’ My in-law said no—he was in Nigeria the whole time,” she recalled.

“That’s when the truth hit me. My husband flew from the UK to Nigeria just to cheat—and he died there.”

Double Tragedy: Death and Betrayal

Beyond the grief of losing her husband, the widow is now dealing with the emotional pain of betrayal and dishonesty. According to her, she had accompanied him on several past trips to Nigeria and never suspected he had another relationship.

“I rushed to Nigeria to see things for myself,” she added.

Her raw honesty has resonated with many, as thousands of users on social media expressed their support and sympathy—while others weighed in on the dangers of secrecy in relationships, long-distance deceit, and the emotional trauma of double grief.

“I Don’t Think I’m Built for Just One Woman” – Don Jazzy’s Candid Take on Monogamy Sparks Debate

Renowned Nigerian music executive and Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, has set social media abuzz after a bold confession about his views on monogamy and romantic commitment. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a recent sit-down with actress and media personality Nancy Isime, the hitmaker revealed that he does not believe he’s wired for a monogamous relationship, stating that even in love, his attraction to other women doesn’t just “switch off.”

“I don’t think I’m built for just one woman,” Don Jazzy said. “I’m not strong enough to be with one person. I will not lie to you and say you’re the only one. Even if you’re beautiful, I’ll still admire someone else.”

“Brutal Honesty or Emotional Irresponsibility?” – The Internet Reacts

As expected, the clip has gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans, critics, and relationship commentators across Nigeria. While many applauded his transparency, others slammed the statement as a sign of emotional immaturity or commitment-phobia.

Some social media users even compared Don Jazzy’s confession to 2Baba’s controversial comments on monogamy years ago.
Notable reactions on X (Twitter):

@therealmacrock: “See Nancy’s face when he said it. Her ticket don cut.”

@cooldjgaba: “No be the same thing wey 2Baba talk be this.”

@greatnwanneo: “He’ll soon rival King Solomon. 300 wives loading.”

@odogwuutd: “2Baba was dragged for this. Why is Don Jazzy getting praised? Double standards much?”

Modern Love vs Traditional Expectations

Don Jazzy’s candid remarks have reopened age-old conversations about honesty vs loyalty in relationships, especially in a society where cultural expectations of fidelity still dominate.

While many see his blunt honesty as refreshing, others believe such views promote toxic relationship patterns, especially when coming from public figures with massive influence.

His statement reflects the growing tension between personal freedom and societal norms, a conversation particularly relevant among younger Nigerians navigating love, fame, and freedom in the digital age.

CelebritiesSam Larry Faces Fresh Backlash After Posting Cryptic Tiktok Video Amid Mohbad Ca by alphonsojaybaz(op): 9:46am On Jul 06, 2025
Embattled socialite Sam Larry, whose real name is Samson Erinfolami Balogun, is once again under fire after sharing a controversial TikTok video—reigniting public anger amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the late singer Mohbad. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Sam Larry, who has remained a polarizing figure since Mohbad’s death in 2023, recently became a trending topic again after activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), revisited the circumstances around the singer’s demise. VDM’s renewed interest in the case led to the resurfacing of old videos, chats, and allegations involving key figures such as Naira Marley and Sam Larry himself.
Controversial Video Sparks Public Outrage

In the midst of mounting public scrutiny and online criticism, Sam Larry posted a now-viral TikTok video where he is seen dancing and singing along to a track by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele. The lyrics of the song suggest that everyone carries their own burdens and urge people not to compound others’ problems. It also warns against bringing up someone’s past as a weapon.

What caught viewers’ attention, however, was not just the song choice, but Sam Larry’s pointed hand gesture, seemingly aimed at critics and social media observers. He subtly gestured that he was “watching” — a move that many interpreted as a veiled threat or warning.
Fans React: “Not the Right Time for Games”

The backlash was swift. Many fans and critics flooded the comment sections, condemning the video as insensitive, especially considering the unresolved questions surrounding Mohbad’s death and Sam Larry’s alleged involvement in past confrontations with the late artist.

“This is not the time for jokes or cryptic messages,” one user commented.
“You should be clearing your name, not playing games,” another added.

Others expressed disappointment, urging him to take accountability or at least show remorse, rather than mocking public sentiment.
Still Under Public Scrutiny

Despite his denials, Sam Larry continues to face public suspicion. Many Nigerians have refused to move on, insisting that the truth about what happened to Mohbad must come to light. With VDM’s fresh advocacy efforts and increased online attention, the pressure on Sam Larry appears far from over.

U.S. Begins Revoking Citizenship: DOJ Targets Naturalized Citizens Over Fraud, Crimes, and Security Threats
In a significant policy shift, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) has intensified efforts to revoke citizenship from naturalized Americans under specific conditions. This move has sparked concern among immigrant communities, civil rights advocates, and legal analysts across the country. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Who Is Affected?

The DOJ’s denaturalization campaign is focused on individuals who:

Obtained citizenship through fraud or misrepresentation

Are implicated in serious criminal activities

Are considered national security threats

Have committed human rights violations

According to sources, more than 25 million naturalized U.S. citizens could fall under the scope of review, depending on their individual cases and how the new enforcement guidelines are applied.
Government’s Justification

The Department of Justice defends the move as a necessary step to:

Safeguard national security

Preserve the integrity of the immigration and naturalization system

Ensure that those who become U.S. citizens comply with lawful and ethical standards

“Denaturalization is a critical tool for ensuring that the privilege of American citizenship is not abused by those who commit egregious acts or lie to gain entry,” a DOJ spokesperson stated.

Critics Raise Alarm

Despite these justifications, critics argue that the policy could lead to:

Increased fear and anxiety among immigrant communities

Chilling effects on citizenship applications

Racial and political profiling

Immigration advocates warn that the policy may be misused, creating a climate of mistrust, especially for long-settled immigrants who have built lives, families, and careers in the U.S.

“This sets a dangerous precedent where even naturalized citizens could feel insecure about their status, regardless of their contributions to the country,” said a senior policy analyst at the American Immigration Council.

What Comes Next?

Legal experts note that the denaturalization process is complex and rare—but no longer unheard of. Cases often involve lengthy investigations and court proceedings. The DOJ has reportedly created a dedicated task force to identify and pursue denaturalization cases more efficiently.
What Should Naturalized Citizens Do?

Immigration lawyers recommend that naturalized citizens:

Keep copies of all original naturalization documents

Ensure accuracy in any past immigration filings

Consult an attorney if they have any reason to believe past errors or issues may raise flags

PoliticsLagos Court Jails Man 9 Years For S3xually Assaulting Neighbour’s 13-year-old So by alphonsojaybaz(op): 7:41am On Jul 05, 2025
Lagos Court Jails Man 9 Years for S3xually Assaulting Neighbour’s 13-Year-Old Son – Shocking Details Inside!

In a landmark ruling, Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court has sentenced Francis Onwuzulike, a middle-aged man, to nine years and six months imprisonment for the horrific s3xual abuse of his neighbour’s 13-year-old son. The case, which has sent shockwaves across Lagos, exposes the dark reality of child abuse lurking within communities. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
How It Happened: The Victim’s Harrowing Ordeal

The survivor, now older, bravely testified in court, revealing how Onwuzulike manipulated and assaulted him multiple times when he was just 13. According to the boy:

The convict would send him on errands, then lock him inside his apartment to carry out the abuse.

He threatened to kill him if he ever told anyone.

The trauma left the boy with severe health issues, including chronic constipation.

From Denial to Plea Bargain: How Justice Was Served

Initially, Onwuzulike pleaded not guilty when first arraigned in 2018, forcing the survivor to relive his trauma in court. However, after years of legal battles, the convict changed his plea, opting for a plea bargain to avoid a harsher sentence.

Originally charged with s3xual assault by penetration (punishable by life imprisonment), the charges were reduced to:

Indecent treatment of a child – 7 years

S3xual assault – 3 years

Indecent acts – 2 years

Justice Oshodi ruled that the sentences would run concurrently, totaling 9 years and 6 months, backdated to September 2018 when Onwuzulike was first remanded.
Public Outrage: Is 9 Years Enough for Such a Crime?

While the conviction is a win for justice, many are questioning:
✔ Why was the charge downgraded from life imprisonment to lesser offences?
✔ Does the sentence match the severity of the crime, given the victim’s age and lasting trauma?
✔ Will this deter other predators, or encourage plea bargains to escape harsh penalties?
What This Means for Lagos’ Fight Against S3xual Violence

This case highlights:
🔹 The importance of specialized courts like the Ikeja S3xual Offences Court in speeding up justice.
🔹 The bravery of survivors who come forward despite threats and stigma.
🔹 The need for stricter sentencing in child abuse cases to protect vulnerable minors.
Final Word: Justice Served, But Is It Enough?

While Onwuzulike’s conviction brings some closure, it also raises tough questions about Nigeria’s legal system. Should plea bargains be allowed in child s3xual abuse cases? Should predators face maximum penalties without compromise?

PoliticsLagos Fuel Station Manager Arrested As Police Bust Armed Robbery Gang In Ejigbo by alphonsojaybaz(op): 7:26am On Jul 05, 2025
In a major security breakthrough, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested four individuals—including the manager of a fuel station—over their alleged involvement in a notorious armed robbery gang operating in parts of the state. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to police sources, the suspects—Noble Saint Neokoro (44), Batomie Samson (48), Abubakar Ali (47), and Bitrus Ibrahim (42)—were apprehended in the Ejigbo area following a tip-off and weeks of discreet surveillance.

Fuel Station Manager Among Robbery Suspects

Shockingly, one of the arrested suspects is the manager of a local filling station. While the owner of the fuel station has been cleared of any involvement, the suspects allegedly confessed to being part of a coordinated robbery ring, responsible for hijacking fuel tankers and commercial trucks around Lagos.

Police Confirm Operation and Confessions

The arrest was confirmed by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who revealed that the operation was conducted by the elite Tactical Squad Hawk.

“The station manager is among those arrested. The operation is connected to an ongoing case involving fuel tanker hijacking in Lagos. NUPENG also helped in tracking down the suspects,” he said.

The arrest follows a June 28 operation where seven additional suspects were detained, and a hijacked tanker full of stolen Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) was recovered in Orile after it was reported missing in Surulere.

Tanker Gang Busted

The seven previously arrested suspects—Izuchukwu Nwanoruo, Kayode Falodun, Ojo Ayodele, Ayomide Thompson, Ahmed Saliu, Igbalaye Kareem, and Babatunde Ahmed—were caught red-handed offloading stolen fuel at the same Ejigbo station, linking both cases.

A fuel tanker used in the operation has been seized as evidence.
Commissioner Speaks

The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, praised the officers involved and emphasized the command’s readiness to rid Lagos of criminal gangs.

“We urge citizens to keep supporting our operations with credible intel. The suspects will face justice once investigations are complete,” he assured.

According to top Turkish outlet Hurriyet, officials from the Super Lig champions are preparing for face-to-face talks with the 26-year-old striker—either in Nigeria or Europe—to determine his interest in making the switch from Napoli.
💰 Big Money Move in the Works

With Osimhen’s release clause no longer active, any potential transfer will require fresh negotiations with Napoli. However, Galatasaray are ready with financial backing—all that remains is Osimhen’s nod of approval.

The club has prioritised Osimhen as their No. 1 transfer target, and his decision will dictate their entire summer strategy. If he agrees to join, Galatasaray will shift focus to reinforcing other parts of the squad. If not, the Osimhen budget could be diverted to strengthen multiple positions.
🇳🇬 Why Galatasaray Want Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is no stranger to Turkish football—having spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored an incredible 26 goals in 30 matches, helping them win both the Turkish Super Lig title and the domestic cup.

He also holds global recognition after becoming Serie A top scorer in 2022/23, powering Napoli to their first league title in 33 years.
🏴‍☠️ Premier League Still on His Mind?

Despite Galatasaray’s interest and past success with the club, Osimhen remains cautious, reportedly waiting for a concrete offer from the Premier League. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have been frequently linked, but none have yet submitted a bid that meets Napoli’s expectations or Osimhen’s personal ambitions.
📅 All Eyes on July 14

A final decision is expected on or before July 14. If Osimhen gives the green light, Galatasaray will immediately open formal talks with Napoli to finalize the transfer.
⚽ Eyes of Lagos Insight:

Victor Osimhen’s next move could redefine his career—and possibly reshape Galatasaray’s future in European football. Will he return to Turkey, or hold out for the English spotlight?

Bayelsa High Court Judge, Justice Umukoro, Regains Freedom After Shocking Abduction

Justice E.G. Umukoro, a respected judge of the Bayelsa State High Court, who was kidnapped in a bold daylight abduction in Yenagoa, has finally regained his freedom. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
🔓 Freed After 12 Days in Captivity

The Department of State Services (DSS) in Bayelsa State confirmed the release of the senior judge on Wednesday, July 3, 2025. However, the security agency remained tight-lipped on the exact circumstances surrounding his freedom—whether a rescue operation or a negotiation led to his release remains unclear.

Justice Umukoro had been abducted on Saturday, June 21, in a disturbing attack that shocked residents of Yenagoa and sparked outrage among legal practitioners and human rights advocates.
😨 How the Abduction Happened

Eyewitnesses recounted that the assailants—dressed in black and wearing masks—intercepted the judge’s vehicle and opened fire. Fortunately, the gunshots missed their target. The kidnappers then used a white, unmarked Hilux van to block his path and forcefully whisked him away.

Surprisingly, the attackers left behind the judge’s black Toyota Prado SUV, raising speculations that the attack was a targeted operation rather than a random kidnapping.
⚖️ Still No Details on Suspects or Motive

As of the time of this report, the identities of the kidnappers remain unknown, and authorities have not disclosed whether arrests have been made or ransom paid. Justice Umukoro is believed to be in stable condition following his release.
💬 Public Reaction

The news of his safe return has sparked relief among the legal community and citizens alike. Many have taken to social media to celebrate his release while calling on authorities to step up security for judicial officers and public figures in the state.

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is also expected to issue a formal statement, having previously condemned the abduction and demanded swift action.

Lagos to Enforce Mandatory Health Insurance by 2026 — Here’s What You Need to Know

In a landmark move to guarantee affordable healthcare access for all, the Lagos State Government has announced plans to enforce mandatory health insurance for all residents starting early 2026. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

This was revealed during the 2025 ILERA EKO Annual Provider Forum, a gathering of over 800 healthcare stakeholders organized by the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA).
💰 N3 Billion Equity Fund Announced for the Vulnerable

To support this transition, the Sanwo-Olu administration has tripled the Health Equity Fund from ₦1 billion to ₦3 billion, making Lagos the first and only state in Nigeria to prioritize funding for the poor as a first-line charge.

“From N1 billion in 2024, Mr. Governor increased it to N3 billion this year, demonstrating true leadership and a firm commitment to equity,”
– Dr. Adebayo Adedewe, LASHMA Board Chairman

📆 Enforcement Begins in 2026 – Residents Must Get Onboard

According to Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, Permanent Secretary of LASHMA, enforcement will kick off in 2026, based on an Executive Order signed in July 2024.

“We want all residents to be aware and onboard before enforcement begins,” she said, urging Lagosians to register now and avoid future sanctions.

🏥 Key Reforms That Make ILERA EKO Stand Out:

✔️ Over 865 healthcare providers now enpanelled

✔️ Introduction of biometric verification with LASRRA to reduce fraud

✔️ Faster claim processing with in-house authorisation systems

✔️ Access through community pharmacies to expand reach

✔️ Performance-based provider rewards using global SafeCare standards

🧠 Why This Matters

Financial protection for families during health emergencies

Guaranteed payments for healthcare providers

Expanded access to underserved communities

“We’re not just building a health system—we’re building trust,”
– Njide Ndili, President, Healthcare Federation of Nigeria

🏆 Celebrating Excellence

Outstanding clinics and hospitals were recognized for:

Clinical service delivery

Audit compliance

Data accuracy

Enrolment drives

Facility improvements

🗣️ What Stakeholders Are Saying:

Dr. Olusegun Ogboye (Ministry of Health):

“This is a win-win for providers and patients alike.”

Biola Paul-Ozie (HCPAN):

“Let’s eliminate discrimination and deliver care with dignity.”

Njide Ndili (PharmAccess):

“Trust drives participation—and participation drives sustainability.”

🛡️ Final Word:

CrimeMan Freed After 25 Years In Jail Over Stolen Generator He Didn't Steal by alphonsojaybaz(op): 12:04pm On Jul 02, 2025
In a shocking reminder of Nigeria’s broken justice system, Kolawole Oladeji, a generator repairman from Ogun State, has finally regained freedom after spending over 25 years behind bars—for a generator he says he never stole. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
⚖️ A 1999 Arrest That Changed Everything

Oladeji was arrested on October 30, 1999, after someone brought a stolen generator to his workshop for repairs. Despite consistently maintaining his innocence, he was tried alongside three others and sentenced to death by hanging in January 2003.

“I have been in jail since 1999 for a crime I did not commit. I am a generator repairer,” Oladeji said upon release.

🙏 TikTok Helped Bring Justice

The case was reignited by TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as Seaking, who launched an awareness campaign demanding justice for Oladeji and his co-defendant, Ogbona Igbojionu.

Their plight sparked online outrage, pushing public pressure toward the Ogun State government, where Oladeji had already petitioned for clemency back in November 2020.
😲 Main Suspect Walked Free in 2016

Ironically, Segun Ajibade, believed to be the main culprit, was granted freedom in 2016 under then-Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Yet, Oladeji remained on death row even after his 2018 appeal was thrown out due to a withdrawn legal challenge.
💔 A Lifetime Stolen

For over two decades, Oladeji lived under the shadow of a death sentence—waiting, hoping, and praying. His release, though a victory, shines a brutal light on:

⚖️ The failures of Nigeria’s legal system

⏳ The pain of delayed justice

🧑‍🔧 The plight of innocent artisans caught in crime webs

🗣️ What Nigerians Are Saying

The story has triggered massive reactions on social media:

“This is heartbreaking. Imagine losing 25 years over something you didn’t do.”

“How do you compensate someone for 25 years of life stolen?”

“TikTok just saved a life. Seaking deserves accolades!”

🧭 What’s Next?

Now a free man, Kolawole Oladeji hopes to reunite with his family, rebuild his life, and help others who may be wrongfully jailed. Advocacy groups are already calling for compensation, legal reform, and an independent review of similar cases.

SportsFulham Plot Move For Nigeria’s Tolu Arokodare After Prolific Belgian Season by alphonsojaybaz(op): 12:27pm On Jul 01, 2025
Premier League side Fulham FC are reportedly in hot pursuit of Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare, who recently lit up the Belgian Pro League with 17 goals for KRC Genk, finishing as the league’s top scorer. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Rising Nigerian Talent Attracts European Giants

At just 24 years old, Arokodare has become one of Africa’s most exciting attacking prospects, drawing interest from Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund. Known for his pace, strength, and relentless pressing, the lanky forward is seen as a perfect fit for modern high-tempo systems.

But Fulham appear to be leading the race, having opened talks with the player’s camp ahead of the summer transfer window.

Premier League Dream Within Reach

Arokodare has long spoken about his desire to play in the English Premier League, and Fulham’s interest could finally offer the opportunity.

“The Premier League is a dream for me. I’ve worked hard, and I believe I’m ready,” Arokodare once stated in a post-match interview.

Potential Super Eagles Link-Up in London

If the move materializes, Arokodare would join a growing Nigerian contingent at Craven Cottage, including Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, making Fulham a soft landing spot for the Genk forward as he adapts to top-flight English football.

Fulham’s Attack Set for Upgrade

Manager Marco Silva is reportedly keen to add more firepower to his frontline as Fulham seek to push beyond mid-table next season and secure European qualification. Arokodare’s impressive aerial presence and link-up play could add a new dimension to the Cottagers’ attack.

What’s Next?

Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming weeks, with Genk unlikely to stand in the way of a record sale, especially if other top clubs firm up their interest. For now, all eyes are on Fulham to see whether they can secure the deal before pre-season kicks off.

Christianity Etc “chaos In Church As Worshipper Allegedly Vomits Snake During Deliverance Sess by alphonsojaybaz(op): 12:16pm On Jul 01, 2025
🐍 “Chaos in Church as Worshipper Allegedly Vomits Snake During Deliverance Session”

In a bizarre and unsettling scene, a video has gone viral online showing what many claim to be a snake allegedly vomited by a worshipper during a deliverance session at a white garment church in Nigeria. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The incident, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, captured the slithering reptile on the church floor, causing panic among congregants.
🎥 Snake on Church Floor Sparks Panic

According to the video caption, the snake was expelled from a participant’s body during an intense deliverance prayer. While the actual moment of expulsion wasn’t shown, the footage began with the snake crawling on the tiled church floor, struggling to move as church members screamed and scattered in fear.

The camera then zoomed in on the snake slithering toward a person seated on the ground before hiding beneath their legs—adding to the drama and confusion of the moment.
💬 Mixed Reactions Flood Social Media

The post quickly went viral, sparking a flurry of reactions ranging from belief to disbelief, and accusations of staged miracles.

@iam_Bonex mocked: “I wonder how much they’ll pay him for this performance.”

@funnycrown6 questioned: “Why didn’t they show the moment the python came out of her mouth?”

@ChuksGodswill5 defended the miracle, saying: “I’ve seen a woman vomit a live lizard during family deliverance. So this might be true.”

🧠 Miracle or Manipulation?

This isn’t the first time dramatic deliverance sessions have drawn public skepticism. Critics often question why miraculous events like these are rarely witnessed in high-income settings and why they always seem to lack full documentation or credible follow-up.

“Only poor people dey always see miracle. After the deliverance, their life always remains the same,” one user bluntly stated.

Meanwhile, others suggest the act may have been borrowed from street entertainers or illusionists, as similar tricks have been observed among traditional performers.
📌 Takeaway

Whether real, staged, or symbolic, this unusual event has once again raised important questions about the intersection of faith, performance, and public perception in Nigerian spirituality.

As of now, no official statement has been made by the church involved, and efforts to verify the authenticity of the incident remain inconclusive.
