Food“why Must I Wake Up By 4am To Cook?” — Lady Sparks Marriage Debate Online by alphonsoolajide(op): 8:19am On Jan 14
A young Nigerian woman has ignited heated conversations on social media after expressing strong views about marriage, stating that the expectations placed on women are the reason she believes she may never get married.

In a video that has since gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), shared by user @honest30bgfan, the lady questioned why women are often expected to wake as early as 4 a.m. to cook for their husbands, describing the routine as excessive and unrealistic. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to her, many men place overwhelming importance on food in marriage, making cooking feel like a constant obligation rather than a shared responsibility.

She argued that the pressure to prepare meals daily is one of the major reasons marriage appears stressful and unappealing to her.

“Why must I wake up by 4am to cook?” she asked in the video.

The lady also revealed additional personal deal-breakers, noting that she would struggle to share a bed with a man who snores, adding that she finds it intolerable.

Her comments quickly triggered mixed reactions online, with social media users divided over traditional marital roles and modern relationship expectations.

While some users agreed with her stance, others criticised her remarks, insisting that cooking remains a woman’s responsibility in marriage.

Reacting to the video, one commenter wrote, “As far as my husband is providing my needs, I don’t have any excuse.”
Another added, “Feminist women have come again.”

The video continues to fuel discussions around gender roles, marriage expectations, and evolving relationship dynamics in Nigerian society.

Christianity EtcGod Instructed Me Not To Collect Offerings – Pastor Isaac Oyedepo Reveals by alphonsoolajide(op): 7:51am On Jan 14
Founder of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, has disclosed that his ministry will not be collecting offerings during its church services, following what he described as a clear and direct instruction from God. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The cleric made the revelation in a video message shared online, where he explained that the central focus of his ministry is discipleship and spiritual growth, rather than financial contributions from congregants.

According to Oyedepo, the divine mandate given to him prioritises building believers through the teaching of God’s Word and equipping them to follow Christ sincerely, without allowing monetary practices to overshadow that assignment.

“God gave me specific instructions not to collect offerings,” he stated.

He clarified that while offering collections are acceptable and practised in many churches, his own ministry operates under a different instruction, which he said must be followed strictly.

The announcement comes as the ministry prepares to commence weekly Sunday worship services in Abuja, aimed at fostering deeper spiritual maturity and consistent engagement with the Scriptures.
Abuja Services to Focus on Discipleship

Explaining the foundation of his approach, Pastor Oyedepo said his model is drawn from the early ministry of Jesus Christ, which he noted was centred on making disciples.

“All Jesus did during His early ministry was to make disciples; the fire fell, and they were filled and refilled. Before He left, He commanded us to do the same,” he said.

He further questioned the spiritual strength of the modern Church, stressing that true growth depends on how deeply believers are rooted in the Word of God.

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, born on February 26, 1985, officially launched his independent ministry in November 2023, following years of service at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.

His transition into independent ministry leadership marked a new phase in his spiritual journey, with strong emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, and personal spiritual development.

With the Abuja services set to begin, Oyedepo reaffirmed that his mission remains focused on raising committed followers of Christ and faithfully carrying out the divine instruction entrusted to him.

Christianity EtcPastor Enenche Dismisses Claims Of Using Church Funds To Fund Personal Lifestyle by alphonsoolajide(op): 7:55am On Jan 06
Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has dismissed claims that he uses church funds to support his personal lifestyle, describing such assumptions as baseless and misleading. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The cleric addressed the issue during a recent church service, where he spoke extensively on transparency, personal integrity, and spiritual values.

Pastor Enenche stated that from the inception of the ministry till date, he has never had access to the church’s financial accounts, insisting that he does not use offerings or proceeds from church materials for personal expenses.

According to him, income generated from the sale of church resources such as books, CDs, and devotionals has never been used to purchase clothing, accessories, or other personal items.

He maintained that all his personal needs are met through what he described as divine provision, not church finances.

The Dunamis founder emphasized that even materials he personally authors and distributes through the church have not contributed to his lifestyle.

He stressed that church offerings and resources are strictly reserved for ministry work, welfare, and the advancement of the gospel.

Beyond addressing the allegations, Pastor Enenche used the opportunity to admonish believers to stop focusing on material possessions and public opinions, urging them instead to pursue spiritual growth and commitment to God’s work.

He encouraged Christians to live purposeful lives rooted in faith, sacrifice, and dedication to the kingdom of God rather than chasing worldly validation.

Speaking passionately, he said in part:

Many people don’t know our secret. Some people think this suit is church money, this trouser is church money, this watch is church money. That is foolish thinking. Church checkbook has not been in our possession from day one till now. CD sold in this church, I have not used one naira of it to buy a tie. Seed of Destiny devotional, I write it; not one naira of it has been used to buy socks. How much more church offering? God supplies the things we need directly. Let’s stop living for things. Let’s start living for God and for what truly matters.”

The sermon has since gained traction online, with many church members and social media users reacting to his statements.

According to Iruoma, her colleague decided to end the relationship after seeing a comment her fiancé made on Facebook, where he reportedly suggested that a man cheating should not be enough reason to end a marriage, as long as he provides for his family.

Iruoma explained that her colleague’s senior brother came across the comment, took a screenshot, and sent it to her, warning that the relationship was unlikely to succeed if the engagement continued.

“Is It Not Strange?” – Lady Reacts After Checking VeryDarkMan’s NGO Account Balance

A Nigerian lady has sparked fresh reactions online after sharing details of the funds in VeryDarkMan’s NGO account, amid the ongoing online clash between the controversial social media personality and human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu.

The post, which has since gone viral, comes as debates continue over transparency and accountability among non-governmental organisations in Nigeria. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Recall that social media activist VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martin Vincent Otse, launched his NGO in October 2024.

The lady, identified on Facebook as Anita Chinwe Ihebinike, shared a screenshot allegedly showing the current balance of VeryDarkMan’s NGO account.

According to her, the social media critic has been open about the funds donated, expenses incurred, and the remaining balance in the account.

In her post, she questioned why attention appears to be focused on VeryDarkMan alone, while other activists running NGOs are rarely subjected to similar scrutiny.

Reacting to the ongoing controversy, she wrote:

“Is it not strange that in all of this, nobody has asked Harrison how much he has raised in total through his NGO? But every day, people keep asking VDM about his NGO money, despite how transparent he has been.”

She went on to share what she described as the total amount raised, the money spent, and the current balance of the Martin Vincent Otse Foundation.

“Anyway, here is the total money raised so far by Martin Vincent Otse Foundation, the total of money spent and the balance. If e sure for those other NGO bandits, let them show us their own. There are levels to these things,” she added.

The post has generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users praising VeryDarkMan for transparency, while others insist that all NGOs should be equally accountable, regardless of personal rivalries or public image.

As the feud between VeryDarkMan and Harrison Gwamnishu continues, many Nigerians are calling for clearer standards on NGO accountability and public disclosure of funds.

According to preliminary investigations, the accident was caused by excessive speeding, which led the bus to ram into a moving truck along the corridor.

LASTMA officials disclosed that the truck reportedly drove away from the scene shortly after the collision without sustaining visible damage, making immediate identification and apprehension difficult.

Traffic authorities were alerted promptly and responded to the scene, where two passengers were found critically injured and trapped inside the damaged bus.

LASTMA officers successfully rescued the victims and immediately activated emergency response protocols. The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) was contacted, and the injured passengers were administered first aid before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

To prevent secondary accidents and ease traffic congestion along the busy route, LASTMA officials apprehended the bus driver for questioning and ensured the swift removal of the wrecked vehicle from the road.

Reacting to the incident, the General Manager of LASTMA, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, expressed sympathy with the injured passengers and wished them a speedy recovery.

He described the accident as avoidable and warned motorists against reckless driving, stressing that speeding remains one of the leading causes of road crashes in Lagos.

CrimeMan Recounts Spending Nearly 30 Years In Prison Over Alleged Wrongful Conviction by alphonsoolajide(op): 7:12am On Jan 05
A Nigerian man has recounted a heartbreaking experience of spending nearly three decades in prison after being wrongfully linked to the death of a friend.

The man, whose story recently surfaced online, revealed that he was arrested and remanded in prison at the age of 19 after authorities accused him of being involved in the death of a man he shared a room with at the time. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Speaking in an emotional account, he disclosed that he spent 29 years, eight months, and three days behind bars over an incident he insists he had no hand in.

“I went to prison at the age of 19. I spent 29 years, eight months, and three days behind bars simply because I was sleeping in the same room with a friend who later died,” he said.

According to him, the prolonged incarceration occurred despite the absence of concrete evidence directly linking him to the death, a situation that has reignited public outrage over Nigeria’s criminal justice system.

Following the circulation of the video online, many Nigerians took to social media to express anger, sadness, and frustration over what they described as a grave miscarriage of justice.

Reacting to the story, a social media user, @tobialism, described the situation as deeply painful while expressing relief that the man has finally regained his freedom.

Another user, @OloriOfOloris, lamented what they described as a systemic failure, noting that proper investigation into the cause of death should have cleared the man long ago.

Similarly, @Greatpeter02 criticised the slow pace of justice in Nigeria, questioning how an investigation could take decades to resolve, while calling for urgent reforms within the justice system.

The story has continued to generate intense debate online, with many Nigerians calling for compensation, accountability, and a comprehensive review of cases involving long-term pretrial detention and wrongful convictions.

Politics5 Ways The New Tax Law Will Make Life Worse For Everyday Nigerians In 2026 by alphonsoolajide(op): 10:13am On Jan 04
As Nigeria enters 2026, many citizens are already exhausted — financially, mentally, and emotionally. The removal of fuel subsidy in 2023 triggered a chain reaction of inflation, rising transport costs, food price hikes, and shrinking purchasing power. Just when Nigerians hoped for relief, the Federal Government moved ahead with a new tax law, promising reform, efficiency, and increased revenue.

But for everyday Nigerians, this tax reform feels less like progress and more like another layer of hardship.

Here are five clear ways the new tax law is likely to make life worse for ordinary Nigerians in 2026, based on policy design, economic realities, and lived experience. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
1. Higher Penalties Will Hit Small Businesses the Hardest

One of the most troubling aspects of the new tax law is the increase in penalties for non-compliance. While government officials argue that tougher penalties will improve compliance and boost revenue, the reality on the ground tells a different story.

According to tax advisory firms like PwC, the reforms introduce stricter enforcement, tighter deadlines, and heavier sanctions for late filings or incorrect returns. For small businesses and self-employed Nigerians, this is dangerous territory.

Most SMEs in Nigeria:

Operate with thin profit margins

Face unstable electricity supply

Pay high transport and logistics costs

Lack access to professional tax consultants

For a small shop owner in Lagos, a fashion designer in Aba, or a food vendor in Benin City, missing a filing deadline is no longer a minor mistake — it could mean fines that wipe out months of profit.

In an economy where businesses are already struggling to survive, higher penalties risk forcing more SMEs to shut down, increasing unemployment rather than growing revenue.
2. Expanded Tax Base Means Informal Workers Are Now in the Crosshairs

The government has made it clear: the tax net is expanding.

In theory, broadening the tax base sounds fair. In practice, it means millions of informal workers may now be targeted — people who have never earned stable income or enjoyed government support.

This includes:

Market traders

Artisans and craftsmen

Ride-hailing drivers

Freelancers and gig workers

Roadside vendors

These Nigerians already pay indirect taxes every day through:

VAT on food and goods

Transport fare increases

Levies and multiple local government charges

Bringing them formally into the tax system without fixing income instability, inflation, and social protection feels like punishment, not reform.

For many, the question is simple:
How do you tax people who are barely surviving?
3. Digital Tax Reporting Excludes Millions Without Access

Another major feature of the new tax law is increased reliance on digital reporting and online compliance systems. While digitisation may improve efficiency on paper, Nigeria’s reality makes this approach deeply problematic.

Millions of Nigerians still struggle with:

Poor or non-existent internet access

High cost of mobile data

Low digital literacy

Frequent power outages

Expecting traders in rural areas or low-income urban communities to comply with online tax portals and digital documentation creates a system that is exclusionary by design.

Those who cannot comply digitally risk:

Being labelled non-compliant

Facing penalties and fines

Becoming vulnerable to harassment or extortion

A tax system that many citizens cannot practically access only widens inequality and deepens mistrust.
4. Tax Burden + Subsidy Removal = Higher Cost of Living

Perhaps the most painful impact of the new tax law is how it compounds existing hardship caused by subsidy removal and inflation.

Since fuel subsidy removal:

Transport fares have doubled or tripled

Food prices have skyrocketed

Electricity tariffs have increased

Rent and basic services cost more

Now, with higher taxes and compliance costs, businesses are left with only one option: pass the cost to consumers.

This means:

Higher food prices in markets

Increased transport fares

More expensive services

Reduced purchasing power

In simple terms, even Nigerians who don’t directly pay the tax will still suffer its effects.

The tax does not exist in isolation — it stacks on top of an already unbearable economic reality.
5. No Clear Guarantee of Better Services in Return

At the heart of Nigeria’s tax resistance problem is one issue: trust.

Citizens are not just angry about paying tax — they are angry because there is no clear evidence that taxes translate into better living conditions.

After subsidy removal, Nigerians were promised:

Better public transport

Improved healthcare

Education investment

Social safety nets

Years later, many are still asking: where did the money go?

With the new tax law, the same doubts resurface:

Will roads improve?

Will hospitals work better?

Will electricity become stable?

Will insecurity reduce?

Without transparency, accountability, and visible impact, taxation begins to feel like extraction without representation.
Conclusion: A Reform Without Relief

Tax reform is not inherently bad. Every functional country needs revenue to operate. But timing, trust, and fairness matter.

Introducing a tougher tax regime:

After subsidy removal

Amid record inflation

With rising unemployment

And shrinking household income

…creates the perception of a government out of touch with its people’s pain.

If the Nigerian government wants citizens to embrace taxation, it must first:

Reduce waste and corruption

Show clear use of public funds

Provide relief and safety nets

Communicate honestly with the people

Until then, many Nigerians will continue to see the new tax law not as reform — but as another burden in an already heavy life.

My Daughter Has Succeeded, I’m a Landlady in Lekki” — Iyabo Ojo Speaks on Single Motherhood and Success

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has sparked widespread conversations online after making a candid and emotional statement about single motherhood, personal success, and faith.

The actress, known for her outspoken nature, challenged long-standing societal stereotypes about single mothers, insisting that success should be measured by personal stability, fulfilled children, and inner peace rather than marital status. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Iyabo Ojo Reflects on Her Journey as a Single Mother

Speaking during a recent public engagement, Iyabo Ojo recounted her experience raising her children alone at a young age, describing the journey as difficult but ultimately rewarding.

According to her, there were moments filled with confusion, exhaustion, and emotional strain, especially while navigating motherhood without a partner. However, she maintained that resilience, perseverance, and faith in God helped her overcome those challenges.

“There’s confusion in their midst. I’m the president-general of single mothers because my daughter has succeeded, my son has succeeded, and my life is better,” she said.

She added that there were times she felt overwhelmed and uncertain about the future, admitting she never imagined owning property in one of Lagos’ highbrow areas.

“If they told me I’d be a landlady in Lekki, I would have said it was a lie. It wasn’t me, it was God,” the actress stated.

On Relationships, Faith, and Parenting

Iyabo Ojo also shared her views on relationships, stressing that both men and women make choices that shape their marital outcomes. She emphasized the importance of faith and personal accountability while speaking highly of fathers who actively participate in their children’s lives.

“Na man go leave you, na man go marry you. Na woman go leave you, na woman go marry you. Put your faith in God and see whether God will not do it for you,” she said.

She further noted that responsible fatherhood earns her admiration, describing men who care for their children as attractive in character and values.

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

Her comments quickly generated mixed reactions online, with social media users sharing varying opinions.

While some praised her honesty and resilience, others criticized her remarks, interpreting them as dismissive of marriage as an achievement. Several commenters described her statement as a blend of humour, confidence, and inspiration, while critics questioned the timing and tone of her message.

Despite the differing opinions, the actress’ comments have once again placed conversations around single motherhood, success, and societal expectations at the forefront of public discourse.

Christianity EtcWhy Testimonies Still Matter To Nigerian Christians In 2026 by alphonsoolajide(op): 9:40am On Jan 04
In an era dominated by social media skepticism, fact-checking culture, and online criticism of religion, testimonies remain one of the most powerful expressions of faith among Nigerian Christians in 2026.

Despite increasing doubts around miracles, prosperity preaching, and church credibility, millions of Nigerians still gather weekly to listen, share, and celebrate testimonies—stories of healing, provision, protection, and restoration. For many believers, these personal accounts are more than emotional moments; they are proof that faith still works in real life. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

A Nation That Believes Through Experience

Nigeria’s religious culture has always been deeply experiential. Faith here is not just theoretical; it is lived daily against the backdrop of economic hardship, insecurity, unemployment, health challenges, and family pressures.

For many Nigerians, testimonies resonate because they reflect shared struggles.

When someone testifies about surviving a life-threatening illness, securing a job after years of rejection, escaping debt, or overcoming spiritual battles, listeners see their own situations mirrored. In a country where institutions often fail, testimonies offer hope that divine intervention can still change outcomes.
Why Testimonies Still Command Attention

In 2026, testimonies remain relevant for three major reasons:

1. They Validate Faith in Difficult Times

With rising living costs, job scarcity, and uncertainty, testimonies reinforce belief that God is still active. Many Christians say hearing others’ breakthroughs strengthens their own faith during moments of doubt.

2. They Create Emotional Connection

Unlike sermons that may feel distant, testimonies are personal. They carry emotion, vulnerability, and authenticity. Nigerians connect deeply with stories, especially when told in familiar language and context.

3. They Serve as Living Proof, Not Theology

While online critics debate doctrine, testimonies bypass arguments. For believers, personal experience outweighs theological disputes. A healed body or restored family becomes its own evidence.
Social Media Has Changed, Not Killed, Testimonies

Social media has transformed how testimonies are shared. In 2026, testimonies no longer stay within church walls. They trend on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp groups.

While this exposure has increased scrutiny—especially with viral cases of exaggerated or disputed claims—it has also amplified reach. One testimony can inspire thousands across borders within hours.

However, churches are becoming more cautious. Many now verify testimonies before allowing public sharing, aware that credibility matters more than ever in the digital age.

Skepticism vs. Belief: The Ongoing Debate

Critics argue that some testimonies are staged, exaggerated, or emotionally manipulated. Others question why miracles appear selective or why financial testimonies dominate.

Yet, believers counter that faith is personal and not subject to public approval. For them, testimonies are not entertainment or proof for skeptics, but reminders of God’s faithfulness.

Interestingly, even skeptics admit that testimonies provide psychological comfort, communal bonding, and hope—elements Nigerians desperately need.

Testimonies as Survival Language

For many Nigerian Christians, testimonies are not about perfection but survival.

They are declarations that someone made it through hardship. In a society where negative news dominates headlines, testimonies offer an alternative narrative—one of resilience, hope, and spiritual reassurance.
Why They Will Continue Beyond 2026

As long as Nigerians face uncertainty, testimonies will remain relevant. They will evolve, face criticism, and demand accountability—but they will not disappear.

Faith in Nigeria is deeply woven into identity, and testimonies remain one of its strongest expressions.

In 2026 and beyond, testimonies continue to answer a simple but powerful question for many believers:

“If God did it for them, why not me?”

In a rare display of integrity and honesty, a Nigerian woman, Aisha Isah Yelwa, has returned the sum of ₦330 million that was mistakenly credited to her bank account.

Mrs. Yelwa, a small-scale trader based in Lapai, Niger State, disclosed that she noticed the unusual balance in her First Bank account at about 3:49 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to her account, the discovery came shortly after she had visited the bank to complain about repeated deductions linked to loans she had previously taken to support her business.

She explained that she decided to check her account later in the day to confirm whether the issue had been resolved when she suddenly noticed a balance far beyond anything she had ever owned.

I was only checking to see if the loan deductions had stopped when I saw the money. I was confused and scared,” she said.

Realising the funds were not hers, she promptly reported the issue to bank officials and cooperated fully to ensure the money was returned to its rightful owner.

Her action has since attracted widespread praise on social media, with many Nigerians hailing her as a symbol of honesty at a time when financial crimes and fraud are prevalent.

“5 Million Maggots”: Doris Ogala Makes Fresh Allegations About Pastor Chris Okafor’s Church Pulpit

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has made new allegations concerning the church pulpit of popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, days after he publicly apologised to her during a church service.

The actress, in a video shared online, alleged that what she described as “five million maggots” were buried beneath the church pulpit, a claim that has since sparked intense reactions across social media. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The development comes after Pastor Chris Okafor tendered a public apology to Doris Ogala while standing on the altar and reportedly went on his knees. The apology followed earlier claims by the actress that the cleric had given her $10,000, which she shared online while flaunting the cash.

In her latest video, Doris Ogala stated that although she has accepted the pastor’s apology, she believes members of the church are under what she described as “bondage.”

In her words, she said,
Do you know the maggot that is buried inside the ground that has over five million maggots? The bigger the maggot gets, the bigger the congregation gets. Why do you think they are not leaving?”

The actress further alleged that there was more to the church altar than meets the eye, insisting that her claims were not made out of personal bitterness but concern.

Earlier, Doris Ogala had called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the church pulpit. She alleged that a construction worker reportedly died at the church site and was secretly buried beneath the altar — an allegation that has not been independently verified.

In response to the controversy, Pastor Chris Okafor reportedly invited both the DSS and the police to investigate the church altar. He also offered to sponsor an excavation of the pulpit and stated that the process could be carried out publicly and televised live to prove his innocence.

As of the time of filing this report, no official investigation findings have been made public, and authorities have not confirmed the claims raised by the actress.

Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has called out colleagues and social media users for rushing to post “RIP” messages following reports of the death of fellow actress Allwell Ademola, sparking widespread conversations about responsibility and sensitivity in the digital age. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Reports of Ademola’s death began circulating on Saturday night, prompting several Nollywood actors, including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko, to share tributes and condolence messages on their social media platforms.

Reacting via her Instagram page, Biodun Okeowo expressed deep concern over how quickly news of death spreads online, especially without confirmation or consideration for the deceased’s immediate family.

According to the actress, Allwell Ademola’s mother had not yet been officially informed at the time many tribute posts were already circulating online. She described the trend as troubling and emotionally insensitive.

In her words, Okeowo wrote:

“Those of you who are so quick to post bad news and put up pictures, hope you know she has a mother who is not aware yet. The way people are quick to post RIP rather than congratulations is very alarming.”

She further prayed against premature death and urged people to exercise restraint, adding that it would not be out of place to wait for official confirmation before making such sensitive announcements public.

Okeowo’s comments have since sparked mixed reactions across social media. While many users agreed with her stance and praised her for speaking up, others argued that celebrities often learn about tragic events through informal channels.

Nonetheless, her remarks have reignited discussions around ethical reporting, emotional sensitivity, and the responsibilities that come with having a large online following—especially when dealing with matters of life and death.

As of the time of this report, official confirmation surrounding Allwell Ademola’s condition remains limited, with calls growing for verified information before further public commentary.

PoliticsControversy Trails Ghanaian Prophet After Failed Christmas Day Flood Prophecy by alphonsoolajide(op): 8:58am On Dec 26, 2025
Drama and widespread disbelief have followed a Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Ebo Noah, after his widely publicised prophecy predicting a global flood on Christmas Day failed to materialise.

The self-styled prophet had earlier claimed that divine revelation warned of a catastrophic three-year worldwide flood that would mark the end of the world on December 25. According to him, humanity could only be saved through the construction of modern-day arks, similar to the biblical account of Noah. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Ebo Noah reportedly drew significant public attention after announcing that he had completed 10 contemporary arks and urged followers to prepare for evacuation ahead of the predicted disaster. His message attracted thousands of believers, many of whom reportedly took the prophecy seriously.

On Christmas Day, an estimated 4,000 followers were said to have gathered in expectation, awaiting instructions to board the arks before the foretold flood would begin. However, as the day progressed without any unusual occurrence, anticipation reportedly gave way to confusion and disappointment.

The situation further intensified after the prophet was later spotted dressed in a smart, casual outfit, abandoning the sackcloth he had previously worn as a symbol of warning and repentance. PoliticsIsaac Fayose Criticises Senators Over Airport Reception For Seyi Tinubu by alphonsoolajide(op): 8:49am On Dec 26, 2025
Political activist and entrepreneur Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, has stirred public debate after criticising some Senate leaders over reports that they lined up at an airport to receive Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

In a video shared on his Instagram page on December 23, 2025, Fayose questioned the propriety of senior lawmakers and top government officials reportedly gathering to welcome an individual who holds no official position within Nigeria’s constitutional framework.

Describing the incident as an act of sycophancy, Fayose argued that such behaviour undermines democratic values and reflects poorly on public office holders. He expressed disappointment that influential and well-placed individuals would engage in what he termed an unnecessary and embarrassing display of loyalty.

According to Fayose, Nigeria operates as a democratic republic and not a monarchy where power and privilege are inherited. He noted that the country’s constitution does not recognise any office such as that of the “President’s son,” and therefore questioned the rationale behind the lawmakers’ actions.

While expressing his criticism, Fayose was careful to state that his comments were not directed at Seyi Tinubu personally. He praised the President’s son for his philanthropic efforts and positive contributions to society, noting that his concern was strictly about the conduct of elected officials.

“We all appreciate Seyi and what he does for society,” Fayose said.
“But our leaders should not be standing in the sun to receive someone who has no constitutional office. This is not how a democracy should function.”

Fayose further warned that excessive sycophancy could erode accountability and distort leadership priorities, arguing that public officials must understand the boundaries of power and protocol in a republic.

The video has since generated mixed reactions across social media platforms, with many Nigerians supporting Fayose’s stance while others defended the lawmakers involved. The episode has reignited conversations around political culture, accountability, and the role of public officials in Nigeria’s democratic system.
