The rest of the world has had enough of Donald Trump’s buffoonery. He’s getting the middle finger everywhere.
|
Salewa97:The threat is not to actually send in troops but to force Nigeria to dance to Washington’s tune. Listen to the video and you will understand. |
Very insightful analysis by the America professor. He didn’t even bother to dwell on the alleged Christian genocide because he knows that is not why Trump is after Nigeria. |
Popular American economist and former Harvard Professor, Jeffrey Sachs has weighed in on why Donald Trump is threatening Nigeria with military invasion. He broke down all the issues causing diplomatic tension between Washington and Abuja in a 30 minute video he posted on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up1WyTdhaWA Cc: Mynd44 nlfpmod fergie001 |
All the soldiers involved in this show of shame shouid be identified and disciplined. Their conduct is a complete embarrassment to the military. Whoever gave them the order to go and be protecting an illegally occupied land shouid also be sanctioned. |
Putting Bayelsa, Abia, Enugu, Delta on the travel advisory list is going too far. Those states are peaceful at the moment so I don’t see any justification for advising people not to go there. |
Even at that, we are still struggling to fund our budget. The problem basically has to do with budgeting. They made very unrealistic projections at the budgeting stage and that’s why they have no choice than to borrow to fund the budget. Going forward, we really need serious fiscal discipline. We need to make realistic projections at the budgeting stage and also ensure we merge our realistic revenue forecast to the projected expenditure. |
Very shameless party. APGA won fair and square. |
Having a disagreement with someone doesn’t make the person a thug. Everyone can’t be on the same page with you and it’s unfortunate to use your platform to defame someone who simply see good reason to support the governor. Kasali is not a thug. He’s a well mannered and educated young man that I know very well. Sowore should learn to also take criticism. He should be able to take what he gives to others without using his platform to harass dissenting views. |
jmoore:Rubbish. Taliban defeated the USA despite the billions deployed to fight them. It has absolutely nothing to do with the demographics. Even if that is the case, Nigeria has more Muslims than Afghanistan. At least, 50% of our population are Muslims who outrightly don’t support the invasion. Again, over half of the remaining 50% are also against any invasion. So, over 75% of Nigerians are against the invasion so what’s your point? |
The usual rubbish. How much did your darling USA spend in Afghanistan over a twenty years period without being able to defeat the ragtag Taliban? They had the best equipment, state of the art bombers, well trained soldier and good Intel, yet they got defeated by the Taliban. If it is that easy and simple, Taliban would not have chased them out of Afghanistan in the middle of the night. |
Sonofgod1990:The same Arsenal that is currently at the top of the EPL table. |
Liverpool is no longer a contender for the EPL this season. It’s going to be a two horse race between Arsenal and City. |
beardedboy:Go and listen to what Boko Haram is preaching, that’s Wahhabism. |
CyynthiaKiss:Yes, characters that reflect nationalism and cooperation as against bigotry, hatred and division that folks like Peter Obi, Morghalu, Odinkalu etc exemplifies. |
DelilahMakinde:Nigeria is on the path of economic growth and shared prosperity. All indicators and metrics points to a better economic future for the country. If Mr. President is not on the right track, Trump won’t be threatening military intervention just to be able to deepen America’s relationship with Nigeria. As regards the killings, it is already going down. With the impending collaboration with US, things can only get better as regards the fight against terrorism. Finally, you can choose to see doom because Nigerians rejected Peter Obi. That’s your decision. It doesn’t change the reality of the growing economy. GDP is going up, inflation is down, prices of basic food items have dropped, our Naira is very stable, Foreign reserve is at all time high and we are now meeting our non oil revenue target. No sane person will look at all these and still see doom but then, obidients are not known to be sane. |
beardedboy:Boko Haram is an extreme brand of Wahhabism. Denying the truth only allow those terrorists to go Scot free. Stop defending them and call them out for who they are. |
This OP is one hell of an obtuse character. He’s the most confused person I’ve ever seen on this forum. During the last election, he was everywhere pushing absolutely impossible scenarios that can lead to Obi’s victory. After the election, he bombarded the forum with very ridiculous legal jargons that were supposed to give victory to Obi at the tribunal. Now, he has abandoned Anambra governorship election to come up with another ridiculous theory on how Nnamdi Kanu is why Trump want to deepen and strengthen relationship with Nigeria which was disguised as fighting for Christians. Now listen and listen well, Kanu will be convicted and sentenced to prison on November 20th and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Your darling Trump is already negotiating common ground with Tinubu. Nigeria and US will reach an agreement and there will be no invasion. Soludo has been re-elected, Kanu will be jailed and Tinubu will win a second term and then handover to a northerner. |
Now, let’s go get the winning goal. |
Omoreal01:There is no price that is too much for peace. |
ElSudani:Trump and his MAGA mob don’t care about what will benefit Nigeria. They are simply interested in what will benefit them and nothing else. |
Refinedbeing:It is majorly about BRICS and China. They are losing both SA and Nigeria to China and they are so paranoid about it. So, they want us back with them by force. Sadly, we will have to make concessions to them as we don’t have the military capacity to fight back. |
Peter Obi ti lule piiiii ![]() |
Putindbutt:It’s not too late. We will do a deal with them since that is what they want. We don’t have the power to stop them from invading our country. |
As expected. Obidients exists only online. They made so much mouth against Soludo and on the day of election, they can’t deliver. They will soon flood this thread to talk about rigging and vote buying. Sore losers who don’t ever take responsibility. |
Lordly13:Which aid? Some of you are just so ignorant. The US does not send money to any government in Nigeria. What they do is to send over priced vaccines and HIV drugs. They then calculate the over priced amount and announce it as aid. China built the Lagos- Ibadan railway, Lagos blue and red lines, Abuja- Kaduna railway and several other key roads and infrastructure too numerous to mention. So, who are the people using these asset? Chinese? |
There is no big deal in sharing light snack for voters who are in a long queue to vote. I can’t see any evidence that collecting the gala is tied to voting any particular candidate. PS: Oops! I just saw the original video on Twitter now and it is not just sharing of gala but also of N1N cash to influence voters. This is totally condemnable. |
OKOATA:What we have is an unacceptable level of irrational killings but not Christian genocide. The killing in the north central are majorly over land and ethnic control. In the north west, it is over control of mining areas and in the north east, it’s Boko Haram trying to kill everyone that is opposed their wahabi Islamic ideology. So, Mr. President is in order to have denied the existence of Christian genocide in Nigeria. |
blacksam01:I think David and Omah lay shouid win that category. |
SeverusSnape:Nobody is changing the narrative. What I posted is absolutely what he tweeted. It’s left for you to read in between the lines and get what exactly the Trump administration wants from Nigeria. |
mohbadliveson:No, this has nothing to do with same sex marriage. The Trump administration is homophobic so that couldn’t have been their priorities. Below are some of the issues. 1. Trade more with US than China. 2.Give US company more access to mining Nigeria’s resources such as Oil, Colbat and lithium. 3. Don’t join the proposed BRICS currency that aims to end US dollar domination. 4. Lift the ban placed on the importation of 25 items from America. 5. Reverse the 15% tax imposed on imported PMS. 6. Allow America build its much desired African military base in Nigeria. |
