It is now obvious to every sensible person that the threat and drama was never about protecting Nigerian Christians but about economic issues. China’s expanding relationship with Nigeria including Nigeria’s membership of BRICS are the problem. They want Nigeria as the biggest and most influential African country to pull back and return to being puppet of the parasitic West. |
Politics › We Want Tinubu To Deepen and Strengthen Relationship with USA - Rep, Riley Moore by ALTERNATEID(op): 1:00pm On Nov 08, 2025 |
Congressman Riley Moore has been the harrow head of the designation of Nigeria as a country of particular concern by the United States of America. He has also severally tweeted in support of sanctions and possible military action in Nigeria. Y,esterday, he took to his Twitter again and for the first time, we are finally getting an hint of what the Trump administration really want from President Tinubu. See tweet below 👇 President Tinubu has denied the nature of this crisis, saying as recently as September of this year that, “there’s no religious persecution in Nigeria.”
He now has an opportunity to deepen and strengthen Nigeria's relationship with the United States and, more importantly, do the right thing. https://x.com/reprileymoore/status/1986917321441697881?s=46

I was in Makurdi for two weeks last month so it’s not a big deal to some of us. Everybody wants an end to the terrorism but a US invasion will not bring an end to the problem. It will only worsen it as the political instability that will follow the invasion will make the country ungovernable. The US cannot put boots on ground to man just a state in Nigeria not to talk of the entire stretch of North East and North Central. They will simply bomb some few places, bomb Aso Rock and either kill or arrest the president and level stupid accusation against him. Thereafter, they will try impose a puppet who won’t enjoy national acceptance and even the control of our security forces. Then we go the Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Syria route where warlords take over territories in the absence of an effective central government. |

In life, you have to ensured that you are strong enough to fight on your own. Not depending on anybody.
I want you to know that America is the ONLY superpower in the world at the moment. China and Russia are global powers. America is the only country with the capacity to take war to anybody within 24hrs.
Pls don't go reason am say if America truly wants to attack Nigeria China and Russia can do anything about it. THEY CAN DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Before the buffoon called Trump started attacking Nigeria, he was threatening to attack Venezuela. Go and check out what Russia did in support of Venezuela that has now restrained US from attacking the country. |

Lordly13: Sorry, China has not invested billions of dollars in Nigeria. Infact, Nigeria's major foreign aids comes from the US. Even all of Africa's major aids.
In 2020 China gave all of African nations $300milliion to share. That's what the US gives to one African nation (South Africa got 380million from the US, Kenya got 200milliion, Nigeria get around 300 to 400mil from the US). That's why Trump is threatening to top sending aids to Nigeria, because theirs is the largest Investment in Africa. China has invested over $23billion in Nigeria’s infrastructure in 2025 alone. The nonsense aids we get from US are not money but overpriced drugs and vaccines for HIV and polio. Nothing else. |

Why is Iran suddenly gentle and not looking for trouble again? They know they were 1inch away from a regime change and there was nothing Russia could do.
If Trump wanted their supreme leaders heard Israel would have gladly given it to him. Israel attacked first and Iran dealt with them. It is Israel that backed out. If they are strong, let them put on ground in Iran like they are doing in Gaza. |

Go and ask Iran how far. putin hasn't finished dealing with Ukraine in his backyard and needs Trump's help to achieve that. Nothing happened to Iran. Israel misbehaved into Iranian territory and Iran bombarded them. They dare not attack Iran again. As for US, they simply flew a fighter jet in the middle of the night into Iran and bombed an inconsequential location. Iran was never hurt so there was no need for Russia and China to step in. |

Russia is closely monitoring developments related to reports of potential US military action in Nigeria, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday.
Responding to an Anadolu news agency question at a press briefing in Moscow about the situation in the African country, Zakharova urged Washington to adhere to international law.
“We are closely monitoring this issue and call on all parties involved to strictly comply with international legal norms,” she said.
On November 1, US President Donald Trump declared that he had ordered the Pentagon to develop options for possible military measures against terrorist groups in Nigeria to protect Christian communities there.
‘Constitutional commitment’
The Nigerian government has said it does not tolerate religious persecution.
Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar said this week that the government has a "constitutional commitment to religious freedom and rule of law".
Africa's most populous country, which is roughly evenly split between a mostly Christian south and Muslim-majority north, is home to myriad conflicts, which experts say kill both Christians and Muslims, often without distinction.
Some analysts suggest that Washington's amped-up rhetoric could be related to Abuja rejecting demands to accept non-Nigerian deportees expelled from the United States as part of Trump's immigration crackdown. https://www.trtafrika.com/english/article/178f198e7c25
