naturalwaves: You are welcome!. I thought as much that there may be a slight error since I was not getting digits but still went ahead to solve it. I doubt if this new one will give straight digits as well because no combination from 1,2,4,5,10,20 which are all factors of 20 can satisfy the first equation. The closest to it is a combination of 5 and 4 which will make equation II = 20. You can still solve the question if you want , just follow my steps for the first question you posted but you will still get an answer with decimals from my observation. Thank you so much for the insight. just as you have said, it has no straight digit. I followed the method you used earlier and I got 6.7 for x and 2.985 for y. The answers fulfil both equations. once again thank you. I will be reaching out again. |

Icosahedron: You took my analysis for granted, you taught I was wrong but the truth is that, I proved that no integer n, satisfy your proposed equation, you can only get decimal approximations as roots and nothing else, x and y can never be rational numbers. The more advanced student familiar with Elementary Number Theory would understand me better. That was never the case. thanks for your effort. |

Icosahedron: There are no solutions. For you asked for all x, such that.
x² - y² = 36 and Xy = 40.
Factoring equation (1),
(x+y)(x-y) = 6² or (x+y)(x-y) = 3²2²
Using the prime factorization theorem. The only possibilities are
x + y = 3² x - y = 2²
Or
x + y = 2² x - y = 3²
Solving the following systems, we obtain.
(13/2, -5/2), (13/2, 5/2) as the only solutions.
It is there not difficult to verify that their product does not equal 40.
Hence there are no solutions to the simultaneous equation you posted. thanks for the trial. |

genieluv: Holly Majority of African fathers have failed cos most of them still believed in some archaic cultures of their african fore-fathers like polygamy, male superiority n strict female subserviency n inferiority.
Fathers of this modern age will definitely be better as westernization is becoming more pronounced and modern african men are becoming more monogamous, affectionate n female supportive, respecting women's rights more. Really! you mean the ones killing their wives. |

bogc: I was contacted ohh Learnt it was though this year. Did u get in? No, I was rejected. They said something like ' you erasmus mundus scholarship for the 2017/2018 fall entry for the month of september is rejected'. But the consortium asked me to write them for some other sorts of available scholarships for that same program, stating my motivation and financial status, on or before 5th of May. Which I have done and they have also acknowledged receipt. Thats it for now. |

Mille: Don't be so quick to downgrade Nigerian universities.
I am an Erasmus Mundus student here in Romania and due to the broadness of my program, I do attend courses in many departments. But mostly with MSc agribusiness students.
In the MSc Agribusiness (Department of Economics) students here take a Statistics course that I have done back in FUNAAB at 100 and 200L and I can tell you most of them have no idea about it. The class makes me look like a very brilliant student because it's so easy for me and funny thing is I'm not offering the course and hate statistics but only attending it because I like the professor (I think she's hot and I like to see her face).
The professor for one of my courses hasn't even attended any of the classes. We don't have the lecture notes (He always promises to send them but never will). Exam starts in 2 weeks, I wonder what we're going to write or how we're going to be graded.
The differences is just that the intensity of courses in Nigeria is much higher but here it's much practicalized. You go on trips, sent on observation, perform case studies etc and you're basically seated in front of a WIFI computer in Classes and you better have good computer+Microsoft office skills.
Before in Nigeria, I was a shy student. But after 3 presentations/week in Romania, you can be rest assured the stage fright is gone. Also the classes are conducive and not too populated (Well, since only 20% attend the classes. I meet the other 80% in Pubs and Coffee shops and they introduce themselve as my colleague) good day sir, I am a graduate of Agricultural Economics, 2.1, I recently applied for erasmus mundus QEM scholarship. this I did because I couldn't find an exact programme that deals with agricultural economics. Now from your comment above I can see that this program is actually available. sir I would like to know if I have made the right choice by QEM, or there is still a way I could choose an agricultural economics related course. Thank you sir for your time. permit me to send you a pm sir. |
