Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Kalu celebrates wife, Mrs Ifunanya Kalu with sweet and romantic words on the occasion of her birthday anniversary.

Ify as fondly called by her hubby will be a year older on Monday, October 26, 2020.
In his short but deep tribute to his wife titled "My Wife, My World", elated Kalu described the celebrant as loving, caring, dependable, supportive and above all, God fearing.

Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state, Benedict Ayade of Cross River State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State have all been nominated for award as 2020 'Best Governor of the Year Against COVID-19'

The governors were nominated by well-meaning Nigerians at the ongoing nominations for the 2020 edition of the prestigious Igbere TV Leadership Excellence Awards

This was disclosed Monday, August 17, 2020 by Emeh James Anyalekwa, executive director of Igbere TV in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.

The prestigious Igbere TV Awards recognises and honours the outstanding impacts of leaders across both the public and private sectors in Nigeria.

The Award also applauds excellence, achievements, performance, humanitarian activities and philanthropic gestures.

The 2019 edition which held 28th November, 2019 at the Sheraton Hotels, Abuja saw several captains of industry, public figures and leaders cling on to the various Award categories.

Although no date has been announced for the 2020 edition, the organizers said the event would be held in compliance with the NCDC and World Health Organization guidelines and protocols on COVID-19.

Nominations for the Awards are still ongoing and would close August 30, Nigerians are therefore enjoined to send in nominations to igberetv@gmail.com indicating the category.

The Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Kalu on Monday July 27, 2020 received a heroic welcome in the South East following his wrongful, politically motivated incarceration, IGBERE TV reports

The reception was unprecedented. No Nigerian politician alive has been so celebrated.

Despite plans by the former governor to sneak into Igbere without any noise due to the Coronavirus pandemic, as the saying goes, the golden fish has no hiding place.

His home coming was unannounced but immediately the people saw his convoy, millions streamed to the streets in celebration and to have a sight of their darling former governor.

Following a 48 hours ultimatum by the House of Representatives to Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio to name lawmakers who are beneficiaries of NDDC contracts, the Executive Director (Projects) of the commission, Dr Cairo Ojugbo has provided the list of National Assembly members who were awarded contracts in NDDC between 2016 and 2019.
