Alleged Sack: Simon Ekpa Blasts BBC Reporter, Says Biafra Uncompromisable | #IgbereTV

Dear Mr Ekpa,
My name is Uche Akolisa, a journalist with the BBC(Lagos Bureau).

Please, we are seeking your reaction with regards to statement issued by IPOB and signed by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, where the group stated that it may relieve of your appointment as one of their broadcasters on Radio Biafra for allegedly "flouting the laid down rules of engagement'. (See full text below)

Please Sir, kindly oblige us your response: What is your reaction to the allegation that your are flouting the rules? What does these rules say? We will appreciate your reaction to give balance to our story.

Dear Uche,

Thanks for reaching out to me to balance your report. I want you to report my response exactly the way I am writing it here.

It is very interesting to see how eager you are, looking for gossip. You are reporting for BBC Igbo and it very hard for you to report all the killings and atrocities of the Nigeria State against Ndigbo in Nigeria. The killings in Rivers State where over 500 Igbos were slaughtered by Governor Wike in Ibigbo (Oyigbo), they were killed and thrown to Oyigbo River, and for weeks, their bodies were seen floating on the river, BBC igbo didn't go for fact finding in Oyigbo Community to ask their King and community what happened?

In Imo State, over thousands of Igbos were slaughtered by Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, we are yet to see BBC fact finding in Imo State in the affected communities, where Abba Kyari killed and burnt properties of many Igbos in their villages in search of ESN.

In Ebonyi State, we didn't see BBC fact finding on the killing of Ebonyi Youths by Governor Umahi in Onicha LGA of that state.

In the killings by Fulani terrorists in Igboland, the number of people killed in each attack has always been under reported, I have not seen BBC fact finding to each community that were attacked to get the exact number of people killed from those locals and not what the government want you to report.

Finally, if you want to interview me, ask me questions about why I am agitating for Biafra and not what is happening in IPOB. IPOB is a movement and we are freedom fighters, our internal issues if at all there is any is within and between us agitators and not for outsiders consumption.

Please, it is time you change your pattern and manner of Journalism. Contact me and ask me a vital question as to why I am agitating for Biafra and not supporting one Nigeria? This is the kind of question I would like you to approach me with, you all should be part of solving Nigeria's problem and not looking for IPOB gossip.

So, I am looking up to you accepting the challenge to host me live and ask me questions about Nigeria and Biafra.

Best regards

Simon Ekpa

PoliticsJerome Ezeneche: Why I Am Called King Of Six Nations – Igwe 10 - 10 by AmadiAba(op): 11:43am On Jul 21, 2021
Jerome Ezeneche is the leader of Ndi Igbo in China, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam. He recently won the Anambra Diaspora Person of the Year. In this Exclusive Interview with IGBERE TV, he talks about his early life and his status as Eze Ndi Igbo in six countries. Excerpts:

*WHAT WAS GROWING UP LIKE FOR YOU?*

I was born and bred at Onitsha. I lost my father Cyprian Ezeneche at a very young age. I was six , assisting my mother who ran a restaurant . I had other siblings but I was the first son and the responsibilities associated with that position are many. The death of my father made me grow up fast. I became a father figure to my younger ones, playing the role model while at the same time assisting my mother. Before his death, my father was a hardworking and successful man in his time, with houses in the village and at Onitsha where he was based. At his demise, his siblings who were his business partners kept the knowledge of my late father’s properties away from us because my mother was not literate enough to ask questions. I would later join my mother in her restaurant. I believe that contributed to the person I am today because the restaurant afforded me the opportunity to learn some culinary skills which rubbed off of what I do today.

My mother’s restaurant was located at Awada, a suburb in Onitsha and it was a very popular restaurant in those days. I was a boarder in school. During holidays, I would come back to help my mother. My experience in her restaurant and the cooking skill I learnt earned me a position as the school kitchen prefect at Abbot Boys College, Ihiala and I was in that position from class 4. It was from that class that my mother stopped paying my school fees and that was because of my position. Some parents were even paying me to help look after their wards in school and in turn took me as their own son.

Due to paucity of funds, I decided to quit further studies for business after my secondary school. I learnt baking materials trade under Mr Boniface Okwuolisa, from Ihiala. I was with Mr. Boniface before I met Cornel Tochukwu Kpajie, from Uke. Mr. Tochukwu’s boss was selling baking powder with the name ‘First Choice’ in those days. Tochukwu being an industrious fellow, learnt how to produce the baking powder and would later begin the production of his own brand and named it ‘Royal Baking Powder’. So since I was still learning the ropes in the baking materials business, Tochukwu made an offer to make me to assist in distributing the product and jumped on the offer. I did an excellent job of marketing the product.

After a while, I decided to change course and travel overseas for better opportunities. That was how we started producing Royal baking powder in China. We were also producing flavors, yeast, improver and all the baking materials. I discovered where they produce them in China and Indonesia. Today, the relationship between me and Tochukwu Kpajie is still strong. It is more like a father and son relationship. He is someone who wants me to succeed and he was instrumental to the success of my trip abroad. I was initially importing goods from China to Nigeria but when I started having challenges, I decided to set up my base outside the shores of Nigeria.

The first country I went to live in was Vietnam and from there, I moved to Thailand. I have also lived in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and China, I have visited all these countries and I have my network in those countries. The Igbo people in that region appreciate my person greatly and when they saw my leadership qualities, they decided to install me as their leader in these countries and that is the origin of the name “The King of Six Nations”. I also have my ’10-10’ restaurants in these six countries. It is adjudged one of the biggest in Asia. It was from there that I started my own farm where I cultivate our food and presently, there is no need for yam and bitter leaf importation in Thailand because we have the farm here. We also process garri and akpu. Palm fruit is here in Thailand but we process it to our taste. I am also a licensed BDC operator.

In those six Nations, our people were having too many issues. An example of such is that when our people come into the country without proper documentation, most of the times, they will be subjected to arbitrary arrest by the law enforcement agencies and they may enter another country in a bid to evade arrest and that may compound their problems. Some might have proper documentation but because of little misunderstanding between them and the Thai or Vietnamese people, the Thai people may use police to harass them. That brought about a lot of complaint, but my intervention helped to put some of these issues under control. There were times when our brother will die in a country like Laos ,but because Nigerians aren’t many there, I will have to plead with our people in China and Thailand to make contributions to send the corpse home .Our leadership has also introduced a reign of peace and curbed cult related killings in these six nations. I am also in good terms with the royal fathers in Nigeria. This is to keep them updated and also to report any issue concerning any of their persons, especially when such character proves difficult to handle.

Another thing we do is to bring our culture close to our people in the diaspora and make them have a feel of home. Cultural identity is very vital in our everyday living particularly for most of us who live abroad . And so when we come home, we learn the culture and the way things are done and then go back to teach our people in these nations our cultural practices and traditions. We also work together to help one another and lift one another up. If one of us has a problem, we all contribute to help provide solution to the person's problem. The ancient Igbo Philosophy ‘ibu anyi Danda’ and ‘nwanne di na mba’ forms the core of our activities and shapes our actions. The Igbo in those six nations have decided that they will have a caretaker administrator in each country but they will all report to me. With time, China, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia etc will have their caretaker administrators that will be in charge and they will work with me in order to pilot the affairs of our people.

*COULD YOU THROW MORE LIGHT ON 10-10 RESTAURANT?*

If you come to Asia, 10-10 restaurant is rated among the best African restaurants. When we started, we only had Nigerian customers but now we have customers from different races. When the wife of immediate past President of Nigeria, Mrs Patience Jonathan came to Thailand for an event, 10-10 restaurant was the official caterer. That event announced us and others started patronizing 10-10 restaurant for indoor and outdoor events.

*SOME NIGERIANS ARE KNOWN TO TRAVEL ABROAD AND ENGAGE IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS DRUG TRAFFICKING AND INTERNET FRAUD. WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR THOSE HOPING TO GO ABROAD?*

The standard practice for anybody with the intention of relocating to a foreign country is to have a contact person that can help him or her settle down. I usually advice our brothers who intend to travel to ensure that they have such contacts. In cases where such is unavailable, most of them will become stranded and some get tempted to go into crime .

Though it is very wrong and condemnable, I don’t think we Nigerians are the only people that engage in criminal activities. But instead of crime, there are a lot immigrants can learn in a foreign country. Many are engaged in honest labour. Some teach or get engaged in sporting activities like football and boxing. If you travel to Asia, you will notice that there are a lot of Nigerian teachers and it is a lucrative job. A teacher can earn as much as 50 dollars per hour. I'm not saying we are saints but the story of few who are into crime can never be allowed to dominate the great stories of many of us who are working extremely hard to make a decent living and contribute to the economy of our host country.

*YOU WERE GIVEN THE AWARD AS ANAMBRA DIASPORAN 2020, WHICH SHOWS YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WELL-BEING OF EASTERNERS OVERSEAS. WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS YOU WOULD SAY YOU HAVE DONE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR WELLBEING?*

First is what I call prison ministry. I visit our brothers in prison, help them with legal aid if need be and also help relay messages to their various families in a bid to help get them out of incarceration. I have been doing this even before I was crowned the Igwe. Going to visit prisoners is not really easy as you might get arrested too for no just cause. Whenever any of our brothers gets arrested, I am the first person the police will contact before they charge the person to court. I also make sure that children whose fathers were deported are well taken care of. So it is like a gospel outreach for me.

Again, the goodwill I have built over the years across several countries has positioned me to become an unofficial ambassador of some sort for our people, a bridge between the authorities of the host countries and our people, as well as a conflict resolution professional for transactions among our people. I have resolved several business disputes that would have degenerated to ugly situations. I have also provided references and guarantees for our people who want to do business with foreign companies, especially when such persons require credit facilities. So essentially, I put my integrity on the line, making it possible for our people in these nations where I have enormous influence to thrive.

I Have Made Over 138 People Billionaires in Dollars , Obi Cubana Finally Breaks Silence | #IgbereTV

"I want to state this clearly, I am not the talking type or Social media interest free person"

Many have questioned the type of boys and friends I have, to me, I hardly address anyone as my boy because we are all boys to God Almighty.

I don't have any boy who is into rituals, if you are my boy or my man because I like to address my boys as my men, it means you are working hard and you made your money in a clean way.

In 2013, I pushed 53 uneducated Oba boys into the market to learn trading. In 2017, I withdrew all of them from their Ogas and settled all of them with 3million Naira each and paid for their shops.

I linked 40 of them into importation and made them use my name and platform to import goods into the country. After two years, I checked on them how they were doing and find out some had issues and I supported them again to stand.

I am happy today that out of the 53 men, 38 are billionaires while the rest are in the level of a millionaire.

In 2018, I took 100 educated men out of streets and introduced them to the white men for business and today there are billionaires in dollars.

They also help me in their capacity when I require their help. All their friends both Nigeria and outside patronises me.

I am into hotel and club business and I have so many businesses I am brand ambassadors to.

I have alliance with spirit drinks and wines, I am brand to many businesses in the world.

It gives me joy to see my men do well, non of my hotel managers in Nigeria can small poverty, I encourage them to raise others from their local communities. I have never sacked a worker due to misconduct, I bring you in and speak to you the way you will understand.

I have this understanding that we should allow the stubborn people to exist and cool headed people to exist and we make use of them when their needs arises.

I don't believe in the supremacy of power rather I believe in the fare share of power and authority and allow everyone to feel belonged.

I have many uncountable people through my hotel business, I have encouraged many, I have made a lot of friends millionaires and billionaires because it gives me joy. Seeing them throw money around gives me happiness and they know, so anytime there are with me, they show such attitude of throwing money to please me.

Yes, I will gift 1 million to 300 Oba boys to start up business and link them up too to make it.

I have a lot of friends and associates and we are like brothers to each other. We love and encourage one another in good and bad as you have seen in my case that all of them came massively to support me.

Critics is normal and there are there to say what they want to say but when you are doing the right thing, you don't listen to what people say. If I have my way, I will also help those criticising me.

A lot of non Obas will still benefit from me because I am still in the business of making people great.

Cubana chief priest is my man and he is a jolly fellow. People mistake him for me, I am Obi Cubana and he is my Chief priest I hope you understand it now.

I am not into politics and I don't have interest in it till tomorrow. I respect those in politics because dey carry power. Lol hahaha.

My advice is they should identify talents and make them great, don't have any fear of who betrays you tomorrow, just make men and move, if they remember good if not be happy that they made it through you.

I didn't asked my boys/men for donations or help, I didn't also asked my friends for help or donations they did that on their own and I appreciated their efforts.

Gradually ala Igbo ga adinma.” - Obi Cubana

...let's learn to celebrate our own

By: Chinedu Okafor

One of the cardinal principles of journalism is fair and investigative reporting. It goes to the root of the ethics of the profession and it is very essential because the fourth estate of the realm holds the key to how the society perceives and reacts to news. Unfortunately, the era of blogging introduced a dangerous dimension to news reportage. Some bloggers (NOT IGBERE TV) engage in bad practices, elevating sensationalism over quality investigation, throwing people's integrity under the bus just so they can amass clicks and likes.

Recently, news was awash in the media about a Nigerian who was arrested in Thailand over love scam which involved about 2.6 billion naira. Instead of Nigerian journalists and bloggers to do a proper investigative journalism and hear from all sides with a view to finding out the truth, they indulged in sensational reporting without facts. Chief among the bloggers who sensationalized Igwe Jerome Ezeneche’s ordeal was the popular blogger, Linda Ikeji ,who even at her level in the media has not thought it wise to up her game and inculcate the tenets of best practices required in her kind of business to make it a more enduring platform. Apparently, she is still living for the moment, for traffics, shallow comments and fleeting buzz. It is the only way we can explain why she threw caution to the wind and in the process maligned and tarnished the image of a respected Igbo man doing legitimate business in Thailand. This write up serves as a an admonition to bloggers and journalists to stay true to the demands of their calling, toeing the line of investigation and hearing the other side for balanced reportage. It is a sacred duty they owe the society.

Even though Igwe Jerome Ezeneche was arrested, arrest does not amount to conviction anywhere in the world. For the records, Ezeneche is one of the most respected Nigerian in the diaspora and has been in Thailand for over 12 years doing legitimate businesses and contributing to his host country through prompt payment of taxes and social responsibility. He is the founder of TEN TEN restaurant, the first and biggest African restaurant in Thailand and the entire Asia. He is also the first Nigerian licensed BDC operator in Thailand. Apart from being a businessman, he is one of the most philanthropic Nigerians in Thailand and part of his numerous roles is his prison ministry in Thailand which enables him visits our brothers in prison with the aim of assisting them financially and providing legal aids to them. Ezeneche also ensures that wards of Nigerians whose fathers were deported or are in prison are well taken care of.

Again, from Thailand, he still offers financial assistance to deported Nigerians so they can establish businesses to begin a new life. The beneficiaries of Ezeneche’s philanthropy are not only Africans as he extends his large heart and hands even to the Thai and people of other races.

It is instructive to note that just like most societies with working systems, being wealthy to a certain threshold attracts investigation by the authorities. It is a regular feature, meant to keep the society sane and check illegal enrichment. The investigation becomes more intense when the wealthy person is a foreigner, especially an African. Regardless of how we mouth equality, there are sometimes traces of racism and stereotyping in some of these investigations. They are hard facts and bitter truths that are better confronted than wished away. This background explains what led to the arrest of Chief Ezeneche.

The recent unfortunate arrest of Ezeneche has all the trappings of premeditated humiliation, harassment, embarrassment and defamation, and that is why he has sworn to press for damages against these rogues in uniform, masquerading as law enforcement agents. It is clearly a case of witch-hunting. Not one thing was found on him and here is a man who has never had any criminal case anywhere in the world even though he is well travelled. Ezeneche is bent on putting these officers that are battering the image of the Thai police where they belong. This unnecessary and unwarranted embarrassment is an insult to Africa’s most successful businessman in Thailand and even to Africa as a continent.

For him, it is foolhardy for a person of his status who has been involved in so many legitimate and viable businesses to entangle himself with illegalities which may lead to tearing down the reputation and the goodwill he has labored so hard to build over the years. This is a man who is into mining, a reference point in bakery materials with a known franchise, an international restaurateur who has travelled almost all the countries of the world, a licensed BDC operator and the first Nigerian in Thailand to be licensed in that business. What really will he achieve with fraud? When this issue of his business integrity came up, even though he was outside the country, he hurriedly travelled back to present himself and clear his name, putting paid to doubts about his transactions. No criminal will willingly submit himself to authorities of a stringent country like Thailand when declared wanted for questioning. Only the guilty are afraid.

The likes of Linda Ikeji should do well to inform and not misinform their readers. They should also learn the art of follow up on their news reportage. That is the hallmark of excellent journalism. When they report that Chief Ezeneche was arrested, they should also report the result of the investigations and his release, with apologies. Chief Ezeneche was released almost immediately after his arrest. It is sad that the overzealous bloggers didn't capture that. For them, it is not news. It matters not to them that they are playing Russian roulette with people's reputation without any care in the world. Truth is, nothing incriminating or evidence has been found that is suggestive that Ezeneche has done anything wrong in his business transactions. This is only a case of overzealous policemen who wants to shine with the arrest of an African 'big boy' even on fake charges just to score cheap points, and it has sprinkles of racism.

PoliticsInvestigation Reveals Kanu Travelled With UK Passport, Not Nigerian As AGF Claim by AmadiAba(op):
JUST IN!! More Trouble for FG as Investigation Reveals Kanu Travelled With UK Passport, Not Nigerian as Malami Claimed | #IgbereTV

More details have emerged of the illegal abduction of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Kenya, who was traveling with his UK passport, not Nigerian passport as originally claimed by the Federal government of Nigeria, IgbereTV reports.

A source privy to how Kanu was illegally kidnapped in Kenya and brought to Nigeria by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has revealed that "it was only his Kenyan-based phone that was seized upon his arrest".

The source said his "passport and three (major) phones plus laptop were not with him during the time he was kidnapped".

Also according to the source, Kanu was arrested in an "Audi TT with licence plate number KCV 100 K".

IgbereTV had reported, quoting a top source who spoke to SaharaReporters, that "Kanu had arrived in Kenya and settled down in a house. On June 19, 2021, he drove himself in a car to the international airport to meet a person arriving in the country for a high-level IPOB meeting.

"He drove into the underground parking lot at the airport and was arrested before exiting the car.

"He was taken to a house and brutalised for 8 days while the Nigerian authorities perfected how to forcefully relocate him to Nigeria.

"He was travelling on a British passport, not a Nigerian passport as alleged by Malami. He was brought into Nigeria on a Saturday and arraigned on Tuesday.

"Buhari upon learning of his abduction decided to cancel his trip to the UK to manage the diplomatic fallouts at home instead of going to London.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Parliament is set to commence a debate on the Illegal Extradition, Nnamdi Kanu.

The British government had clarified that Nnamdi Kanu, who was travelling with a British passport, was not arrested within its shores.

PoliticsKanu: FG Committed Act Of Kidnapping; Faces Huge International Problem - Soyinka by AmadiAba(op): 7:17pm On Jul 05, 2021
Kanu: FG Committed Act of Kidnapping; Buhari Faces Huge International Problem When Truth Comes Out - Soyinka | #IgbereTV

Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka, says there would be an uproar in the country if the truth of how the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested becomes known, IgbereTV has learned.

Recall Kanu was on Sunday, June 27, extradited to Nigeria to face trial after he jumped bail and fled the country in 2017, after Nigerian Soldiers attacked his residence in Afaraukwu Umuahia.

Speaking with BBC Pidgin on Monday, monitored by TheVanguard, the literary icon said the action by the Nigerian government could only be best described as “kidnap” and it is “internationally and morally wrong”.

“It’s not for me to tell the president to prepare itself because it’s going to be a huge squawk when the truth about how Kanu was arrested comes out. People are alleging this or that. That is one phase whether Nigeria has acted outside international law,” Soyinka said.

“The second issue, however, has to do with Kanu’s conduct outside the nation. There’s been a level of hate rhetoric which has been unfortunate, from Kanu. Hate rhetoric is an issue that can only be judged by the laws of any nation.

“Was it right ‘to have been kidnapped?’ You can say intercepted as much as you want but I think Kanu was kidnapped. That is wrong internationally and morally,” Soyinka said.

PoliticsBREAKING! "Malami, A Disgrace", Canadian Justice Minister Calls Kanu's Release by AmadiAba(op):
BREAKING!! "Malami, a Disgrace to Rule of Law", Canadian Justice Minister Calls for Nnamdi Kanu's Immediate Release | #IgbereTV

The Minister of Justice and Solicitor-General of the Government of Alberta, Canada, Kelechi Madu, has slammed the Nigerian Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, over the re-arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IgbereTV has learned.

Madu, in a press release, said if reports that Kanu was abducted from Kenya were true, Malami was not only a disgrace to the rule of law but also not worthy to be a public officer.

According to The Punch, the Canadian official, who is also the Deputy Government House Leader, said Nigeria and Kenya violated international law in the manner Kanu was extradited and called on world leaders to apply appropriate sanctions.

Kanu, who is facing trial for treasonable felony, jumped bail in 2017 and fled the country for the United Kingdom when soldiers stormed his parents’ residence at Afaraukwu, Abia State.

Malami, however, announced last Tuesday, that he was rearrested through the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services.

The Abia State indigene was taken before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, where an application for his remand in DSS custody was granted.

Madu, who demanded the release of Kanu, urged the Nigerian government to ensure his safety.

“The Attorney General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami is a disgrace to the rule of law, and not worthy to be an officer of the court. He has shown himself to be a bigot who does not understand what it means to live in a pluralistic society governed by the dictates of the rule of law,” he wrote.

He also called on the international community and leaders of nations to use all their power to ensure “real consequences for these arbitrary violations of internationally accepted democratic norms and rules that govern civilized people.”

Madu said, “Nigeria is burning, and the people of Nigeria, except those who are holding the country down, wants out. You cannot destroy the hope and aspiration of a people destined for greatness and expect them to bow down in servitude. You cannot destroy a generation of people and expect them to not fight for their freedom. The power of guns, state-sponsored terrorism will not achieve peace or the preservation of Nigeria.

“The Igbos and other ethnic groups in Nigeria who are calling for Nigeria to be renegotiated do not seek violence or war. They seek peace. They seek progress and the advancement of their people. They seek fairness, safety, equity, and justice for their people. They seek the opportunity for their children to grow up and achieve their God-given abundant potential. They seek the rise of a people with the work ethic, intellect and capacity to be a truly global superpower on the continent of Africa. They seek dignity over inhumane treatment. They seek life over death.

“Friends of the black world must unite and liberate the people of Nigeria from this bondage and from the claws of corrupt and inept politicians who have no business being near the corridor of Nigeria’s political power.”

Nnamdi Kanu Lived Like a King, Travelled In Private Jets, says Lai Mohammed | #IgbereTV

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, lived a five-star life across several countries, travelling on chartered private jets, living in luxury apartments and turning out in designer clothes and shoes.

Mohammed said this at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday on the re-arrest of the IPOB leader.

He said Kanu was re-arrested through a collaborative effort between Nigerian security agencies and their international counterparts.

The Minister said, “As you are aware, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has been re-arrested and repatriated to Nigeria to resume his trial. This was made possible through the collaboration of Nigerian security and intelligence agencies.

“Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country. On Tuesday, Kanu was re-arraigned in court and ordered to be remanded in the custody of the DSS, while the case was adjourned till July 26-27, 2021

“Gentlemen, the Federal Government wishes to commend the Nigerian security and intelligence agencies, who collaborated to re-arrest the proscribed IPOB leader in one of the most classic operations of its type in the world. We commend the professionalism, diligence, patriotism and painstaking efforts of our security and intelligence agencies. We also thank the sister international agencies that collaborated with us to pull off this arrest.

“It will interest Nigerians to know that for over two years, our security and intelligence agencies were on the trail of the proscribed IPOB leader as he lived a five-star life across several countries, travelling on chartered private jets, living in luxury apartments and turning out in designer clothes and shoes. Of course, as we all saw, he was wearing an attire made by Fendi, a luxury Italian fashion brand, when he was arrested.”

PoliticsRe: Anambra APC Primaries: INEC Gives Its Report (Photos) by AmadiAba: 2:51pm On Jun 30, 2021
Hmmm
Politics'Why APC Leadership Nullified Party’s Gubernatorial Primaries' - Anambra APC by AmadiAba(op): 11:47pm On Jun 28, 2021
The APC Anambra gubernatorial primary elections has been declared unacceptable by the party members and major stakeholders following recent discovery of election malpractice, IgbereTV reports.

According to reputable sources within the party, it has been discovered that Sen Andy Ubah, the presumed winner of the June 26 poll conspired with the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma to hamper the free, fair and peaceful execution of the party primary elections.

Following the announcement of a land slide victory of the unpopular Sen Andy Ubah suspicions of foul play began to rise. A formal complaint was filed by other aspirants, and an immediate investigation was launched. It was then determined that Sen Andy Ubah, with the help of Governor Hope Uzodinma, had lobbied the members of the primaries committee to alter the results in his favour. Ongoing investigation suggests that the chairman of the committee, Dapo Abiodun (Ogun state governor), was reportedly bullied by Andy Ubah and Hope Uzodinma to tamper with the electoral process.

It was also gathered that no election was held in many wards around the state and there has been no singular evidence to prove otherwise. The hierarchy within the party was also discovered to be oblivious of the turnout of the elections. These findings begs the obvious question, how did the results come about?

A cross examination of Anambrarians revealed that APC had already began to gain grounds and earn the trust of Anambrarians through the works of aspirants like Hon Azuka Okwuosa, Chief Ben Etiaba and Godwin Okonkwo. The general opinion by most people in the state, of Andy Ubah, is a greedy politician who is out to syphon government funds. “If a candidate like Hon Azuka Okwuosa is declared winner, he would have had a lot more support, but Andy Ubah's mysterious victory is quite shady,” one of the party's supporters remarked.

Due to the inability of the party’s leadership to vouch for the validity of the posted results, party members and aspirants have called upon them to nullify the results. They stressed that the party should not support a skewed and biased outcome based on fraudulent elections. In order to fulfil the party’s initial intention of a flawless and honest process, a new committee should be constituted to conduct the primary election at a later date. In their belief, this will put the party back on track to winning the hearts of all Anambrarians.

Despite the fact that a new date for a new election is still to be set, party supporters have expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the leadership's decision and stance against election rigging. They are, without a doubt, highly optimistic that a deserving candidate will emerge victorious from the new election.
