Okay...I knew and made some enquiries about the place because a very close friend of mine applied for the aforementioned course in my last post, although it didn't turn out well because of the stiff competition and restrictions.
Furtwagen, is just 15-20 mins away from Freiburg, a known city/District in Baden Württemberg. The Furtwagen itself is not the largest of places, just one of those small cool cities in the black forest. Note, Freiburg is just 20-30 minutes apart from France and Switzerland. Though Furtwagen is closer to France. The place is cool. Its not a poly, in fact for courses like the one you chose, its an added advantage because of the practical orientation.
The next exam will be around July 20 something...but as I heard, its for family reunion.

However, someone brought to my notice and I confirmed also that there will be a 4 week intensive A1 programme during the summer break at Goethe. I have not confirmed the price yet. I will when I get there. I think the class will hold everyday in the month of August. So after the intensive class, you would have obtained an A1 certificate and know some little German before you depart. I will bring thorough details later.

Just throw all the questions you have on the Goethe registration and other related matters, I will make the enquiries there along that line.

I hope I did justice to your questions?

Good luck!
U did more. Thanks a lot. Would have love to attend that intensive A1 class, but. Based in PH. I also was infromed dat I have to register by hand I mean cash at hand. Can't I pay into the goethe account? I read u have an online material, lemme know how to get it

Wow! Were you offered admission in that International Management programme in Furtwagen? or is it another one? Furtwagen University is never a polytechnic. What you applied for, is it not for a masters degree? The last time I checked, Polys don't offer Msc courses. Go to DAAD and read about University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Unlike research unis, they are more practically oriented and are closer to the industry, the degrees are the same! the only difference is that they don't offer PhD courses but you can further to get a PhD from a research uni using your Masters from a UoAS.
Will gist you more about the place....

Ok really? Dats a relief lol. The poly thingy I mean. I was offered MSc Biomedical engineering with specialization in Biomedicine.
Am expecting the gist o. Thanks plenty, and the Goethe exam question, u haven't responded. Waiting...

If someone told u that it might poly, u could have google it and u don't have believe that in the first place. It's not university not polytechnic.

I haven't searched yet using google, did u say its not uni and not also poly?

Happy sunday to y'all.
I'm glad to announce an admission by hochschule furtwangen university. Pls anyone who can tell me more about the uni and the town. Someone said it might be a poly. Is it true?
And I'm trying to learn german as I was offered a condition to get an A1.
@Eke40seven: do I need to come over to lag in person to register for the exam as an external candidate?
Expectant from u guys. Thanks

Eke40seven:

Take note of when the next startdeutsch1 exam will take place at Goethe, get necessary materials and brush up and may be attempt that exam, if you pass, A1 is your reward. However, its easier said than done, because you will need a considerable amount of hard
work and dedication to scale through.
t

Hey u didn't say wat they will do to ur application since the course won't be taught again.
Besides, I wanna know when the next A1 test will be taken. Do u think I can do a self study den come over to Goethe and take the exam and pay the 12k? What do u think? I stay in PH

@oye50, hadassaheke, no wahala its one of those things jare..at least i no wound.....I think it should be aptitude because they will grade the, 800 word essay and also the motivation letter and CGPA as their basis for admission, although i have not followed the course much since after applying o..it was The "advanced automation and construction" course I originally wanted to go for only to receive a message later that the school will not offer the course again after I had written their required 5,000 word essay and motivation letter.
Have they uploaded your score on their online portal? They haven't done mine.
No not yet. They only uploaded 'requirements fulfilled'
Now I received a notification of admission from another uni yesterday with the condition of providing A1 german proficiency for visa and enrolment. How do I go about this pls? The admission letter is also in german

@Adenjnr, good one, your write up was delivered with a captivating simplicity. Longest time!
@oye50, sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday, I had one of those terrible days yesterday, those thieving ne'er-do-wells at Oshodi played a fast one on me early that morning carting away my wallets with almost 28k, ATMs, important I'd cards and things I haven't even had time to check, coupled with the lil fever I was stuck there for hours. Later in the day, one of my two alternatives school, Freiburg, Environmental Governance, sent me a rejection letter to cap up the already fantastic day. Citing that They had a lot of applications (over 200) for the limited 35 spaces, although I already knew that They will pick up first students that apply with DAAD scholarship (it's one of their programmes) and there is a quota for African students in the programme, but I thought my GP (4.25/5.00) and powerful motivation letter could give me an edge knowing that my Bsc. training doesn't give me room to apply for as many schools as I would wish though I became lazy after one admission.
The disappointment is behind me though, facing my interview now.
Who applied to TUM's Sustainable Resources Management? My docs got there more than a week after deadline yet they uploaded my application documents on their portal, with the caption "study requirements fulfilled", However, no decision yet regarding the scores and admission. it was not the original course I intended to go for. Save for the school's name and location I would choose my current school over the course.
Ow sorry. Oshodi is yet to change frm dis hurrible omen. I applied to TUM too Biomedicine and Nutrition. Same 'requirements fulfilled" I got online. I wrote to them. They pleaded to give dem some more time. That I'll hear frm dem from mid June. Is ur course 'aptitude test' required?

Dear applicant,

your application is still being examined. Unfortunately we cannot tell you exactly how long the whole procedure can take as we are not in charge for it. You will be informed about the decision later via post. Thank you for your understanding!
NB: I applied to this sch since feb with march 1st as deadline for winter 2015.

Was this date exactly 3 weeks after the deadline (this should be may 15) for application for bio-medical eng? I applied for Msc Energy Systems, and immediately got a mail that I would receive the outcome 3 weeks after the deadline (may 15th) of applying for the course, and this was to be 5th june. However, I am yet to receive any message. After contacting them, I was told to hold on; that it will take some more time. Now I'm baffled that they had contacted at least someone on the exact date they proposed.
I guess they were prompt with mine coz its a rejection. I advice u wait for their response patiently, u cld be accepted

I don't know why the rejections came, but if you don't mind, I can offer some help with reviewing your motivation letter and helping you repackage and fire one more time. I wish you the best
They didn't ask for motiv letter, infact the indicated that motiv letter won't be reviewed. Their reason states that my notes are not upto average. Donno wat dat means as I had a CGPA of 3.72/ 5.0
