well, at the moment I can't give you detailed information about furtwagen because I chose TUM instead. but I can say that their standard of living is very affordable to compare to most states. they are very responsive and helpful to students when you need help. But maybe you have a conditional admission also because they rate German language so high that you must have an A1 or A2 depending on conditiions. unless you meet that already. so far these are basically the Info I can give. about student job opportunities. well, am sure most parts of Germany are not bad. I think even course offered in Germany have a certain good level of recognition if not they won't offer it in the first place. maybe you should look at how sellable it could be in naija if need be. I hope I answered your questions somehow. good luck

Yeah u right. The course is not bad though time consuming ie...classes morning till evening, labs and protocols..seminars to present and u listen to presentations etc. The city is in the southern part with a lil dialet difference from the original German. Weather is not bad...but snows èven when other parts are not. Interview was via skype...questions like...why do u wanna study in Germany, why tum, what are ur aims and objectives, what are ur intentions after studies and motivations, mention some of the modules that interests u, few questions from ur Bsc. Eg. I was shown some biochemical structures to identify as a biochemist... I dunno their criteria. Everyone in my class was interviewed... I hope I answered ur questions... all the best.

I heard from someone on here that they reply in max 3 days.. So if I'm calculating from Monday..you should get your booking max today (Wednesday) .

With everything done properly I. E uploading the 3 required docs 1)confirmation slip
2)admission letter nd 3) passport data page. To the target mail address given at the back of ur confirmation slip then max today..
Anything more than today.. I think it's safe mailing them about it.

You don't have to wait for another admission to book. Do that immediately if you have your letter. Except if it is stated in your admission letter expressly, the embassy will never know about the German proficiency requirements and even if they ask, tell them you are going to register for a one month intensive programme that will lead up to A1 at Goethe before you start the programme, you may as well even apply for the aforementioned programme as an alibi.

Ok. U're right. This is exactly why I've been delaying. Hoping I get admitted to TUM, but I just received invite for skype interview on 28th July. And dat might cause more delay if I wait more. So I begin process with dis. I hope I can swap even if I have visa interview and dey won't mind.

hi amahtrendy.. i just scanned through your posts..your schools requires german proficiency A1 right? to be very honest the embassy will ASK FOR IT on your interview day!..its even stated in the requirement checklist on the german embassy website..you need to sort out the A1 certificate thingy.
before you book. the only way you can escape A1 is if you have another admission offer that is entirely thought in english and the admission letter STATES THAT german knowledge is not a requirement.
i dont know if goethe institute have exams scheduled for july or august or if you have started preparing for the A1 exams..pls do a research on this..if possible i think you can go on with your booking..

Amahtrendy to be VERY HONEST with you.. Try to be at the lagos German Embassy THIS WEEK!!!! Max Wednesday. (July 8th max ds week)
Your enrolment deadline is on the 9th of October.. That date is very important. As important as the Whole Germany parole sef.. Open your blocked account and book for student visa appointment immediately (that very day) .
In fact I really really cannot say if July booking is even available at all.
Cs some people got bookings on July 30.. That's why I don't know if there's much space for July. Then again bookings are very unpredictable, you can even get July sef,Fact!

**I know someone who booked on the 10th of June, he was given June 24 just 2 weeks after. Some people even booked since may they threw their bookings to July.. 2 months after.. So u see**

I went to the German embassy for the very first time on Wednesday early last month... I did everything that Wednesday!
You can do everything TOMORROW.. Go there very very early.. I'm talking 5 or 6 am.
Don't wait till next week.. Bookings are not predictable at alllll

By the way when is your school's enrolment deadline?

I stay in portharcourt. The deadline is oct 9th but the orientation for international students begins middle sept
