Landmark2020:
Please, I have paid for nin registration and have be debited, it failed, I click on reverify, it keep saying verification failed, what's the solution?
mine failed as well and it kept saying verification failed. Try to contact paystack through mail and through their twitter handle and request for your transaction reference number. Once you get the number, click on the option for failed NIN verification and inpute the reference number. You will automatically be directed to the scholarship application page. That is what I did but if you don't mind spending twice, you can go for it. But it will take at most 2 days to get the reference number required. All the best.

Funny enough I got totally understand where you are coming from. I personally know someone on the list whose name is there because of one contact she has. It is well sha, we keep pushing. There are so many other opportunities out there and by God's grace, we will get one.

I have taken my time and gone through/checked all the names and surnames and saw that they are linked to politicians.

How I wish my Father or my Mother is a Senator, Governor or House of Representatives member because this one is not for the average financial students or merit students, it is for the merited politicians that are already having.

Congratulations to all the awardees. One day based on my Godly efforts, I will definitely meet you guys in UK, GFM and even China.

Cheers and nevertheless to everyone who did not get. Keep striving you will be better.

I am bit relieved to hear other people say that their area of research is on the energy sector. I felt bad when a friend told me that that should have discussed only about the oil and gas sector because that is all ptdf cares about. I have heard so much that l literally only believe in the miracle of God . May God help us.
Liebermann:
It seems there's a different batch of interviewers for the second week. I really don't understand the incorrigibility of Nigerian lecturers. It sucks that students have to learn from masochists who actively derive gratification from their failure. I think that's a very important dichotomy between Nigerian Institutions and that of other countries. Lecturers there want you to succeed. However, as far as this interview goes, you should be more concerned with the person entering the grades and it seems in your case it was the more affable panelist so hopefully he was considerate. I'm sure by then he would've known how truculent the prof was. Have a little bit of faith.

For me, It was the opposite. I wanted a two man panel, got the most feared three man panel at the center because of a notorious professor I overheard someone being warned about. I went in, I was polite, so were they. The professor was very quiet and seemed impressed but I'm slightly worried because the main panelist grading the interview was not very engaged. I spoke, they listened with very little push back and we had a very amiable discussion about a variety of issues in the energy sector. Not to draw the ire of the anti north conspiracy theorists here but we even spoke a bit of Hausa at their instigation.

At the end of the day I'm okay with the whole thing, it could've been slightly better because I didn't get to say everything I wanted to before being interrupted by new questions but it could've been a lot worse. In fact, they spontaneously assured me that the interview went well but in my mind I'm thinking so did that of many others in many centers around the country so I took it with a pinch of salt. We exchanged pleasantries and I left. A friend who got the scholarship told me as long as your programme is related to energy, they just want to hear how articulate you are. Like you, I have resigned myself to destiny. I have my CAS ready, and I have my contingencies ready. I'm prepared for whatever outcome.

I think that your humble opinion is flawed because there is no one path we know that PTDF follows. Just because a person was grilled does not mean that they will secure the scholarship. Just do your best and pray for favor and grace
BNW1:
It is not just unfair but unusual not to ask of applicants credentials. I did not have any publication and they did not ask me of it, probably because their system shows I did not have it. I was asked of my SOP, Professional membership (had 2) and my academic certificates which I had all.

However, I think if your SOP or Research is enriched with great content and you demonstrate a good knowledge of it and how beneficial it is to the Oil and gas sector, you will probably be asked a lot of questions and have a lengthy interview session.

I don't think spending just one or two minutes or being asked just one or two questions during the interview is a good omen.

Just my humble opinion----I was exhaustively drilled by those friendly interviewers.

I just wanted to share my experience. I had my interview on Tuesday in Abuja. My field of study is MSC Energy Law and Policy. The interviewers were super friendly. Asked me to present my documents, they looked through each one and inputed scores on their computer. They asked why I didn't have any publication and then told me I had lost marks allotted for publication. They even queried why I belonged to just one professional body. Well, they concluded by asking me to summarize my SOP, detailing what I wanted to study, why I wanted to study it and it's relevance to the Oil and Gas industry.
Truth is, I kind of felt bad about the publication thing, but it's all Good. I wish the rest of you all the best. May God crown you efforts with success.
