Franklyspeakin: why are politicians so worried ? if I was a governor that morning I will come out with my polo and joggers to join protest. follow them and move round providing top notch security? share bottled water and refreshments and finally receive them at govt house. I've realised that the masses feel happier when given the impression that their leaders value them. Infact this is the best approach, leaders need to make their followers feel loved And your plans will get approved by them easily But our leaders na to dey threaten dey know If he start, Dem fit wait?? |

Tajbol4splend: There's jobs in Nigeria, it's just that most youths are lazy, in my hometown, I know a lot of youths who are making cool money while we also have ones whose job is to wake up and go to ogogoro joints, smoking and drinking, and look for one young naive girl to impregnate.
What most of you understand as job is salary job so that someone can be paying you at the end of every month, you spend a lot of money on education to go to school, and then you cannot use the acquired knowledge to do something for yourself, and you blame the government for your inability to help yourself.
In US, there are immigrants who are doing better than indegenes because they are more hardworking than them.
Most of the people who want salary jobs are the people who have no employable skills, people who have no ideas or any business growing minds, these people will be forever the same until they become useful for themselves with certain skills Oga that's a lie from the pit of hell I currently owned a business centre in one of the cities in Nigeria, doing business in this country is tougher than what you can write Yesterday I was at office till around 10 trying to refill one of my printers I spend almost 70-80 on expenses, how many persons do you think can withstand such The issue is the country is not friendly to both business owners but workers own still small sha |

KingOfTheDamned: But It's like the ibos aren't even interested in this protest? They aren't even talking about or trying to create awareness, even their Influencers are busy advertising goods instead of using their platform to talk about this protest You all need to understand that What affects this nation affects all of us. This attitude of ibos behaving a different nothing concerns us with Nigeria mentality is very wrong .
Nigeria has finally divided , and it is so unfortunate. This nation can't grow with this sort of division
This is sad indeed The government of the day knows how to play the division card perfectly But it's actually very sad that Nigeria will be at the losing end The president and his team of unpatriotic elements will wreck more havoc from now on Though I don't blame the igbos here, it's logical to keep mute when you are always been accused of being a problem So let those who think they know it all also come out this time around and if they decide not to come out good for them also |

Tajbol4splend: Even though Dangote's business has been source of livelihood to many Nigerians, his goal is not national, it's personal because the end gains go to his pocket, so stop deceiving yourselves.
Dangote has enjoyed a long term benefits from the government which he's not going to admit publicly
Nigerian government placed a ban on cements from foreign countries because of Dangote cement, but guess what, Dangote cement is more expensive in Nigeria than many countries, he's taking advantage of that monopoly to accrue wealth.
Nigerian government has done a lot for Dangote through policies but that guy's only goal is personal, just like any other business, he is a big businessman but not bigger than Nigeria If we have Dangotes like 10 in Nigeria we won't be where we are right now What have government both in past and present done about unemployment, crime, and all? Dangote pays his staff as at when due and pays them well Ofcourse he's a businessman, you don't expect him to become a charity Abi na him say make government no sabi their work?? |

opamoses1: And who said protest wasn't your right. The police stated it right there in the article.
What do you expect police to do when they see someone looting and refuses orders to stop? The problem with you government supporters is that you always think your leader get you for mind They keep you in the hope zone until your life become so miserable that you have no impact This should be a national call at this moment, lone protests, mass protests should be encouraged Our governments at all levels have failed to address the challenges of the nation for years now and you want us to just siddon look Even the police, are they being treated well? A country that her minimum wage cannot purchase basic things 500k cannot start a decent business anymore And you think we are doing well cos your foolish leader says so |

“While the force acknowledges the right to peaceful protest as enshrined in our constitution, we must ensure that these protests do not snowball into violence or disorder. Why are the government so afraid of a process they themselves used to climb the ladder?? Pre 2015 protests was not a bad thing, but now it is It is normal that when people are angry they talk harshly But if the government knows they are doing so well, why not allow the protest go on and see it fail naturally? |
