@justwise I am in the uk with my family. I used established presence to apply for their visa when they were to join me. I now have a new baby and wish to apply for visa for the baby. My question: -can I still use established presence for my baby? - when showing money, do I show for my baby alone or for all of us altogether? |
Oga Emasel Any tips for us for tomorrow regarding the current affairs and IT questions? Are the current affairs based on 2014 or 2015 happenings in Nigeria? Are they about the just concluded elections? How about IT, are they windows based or Apple IOS based Emasel: |

@justwise I applied for dependant visa for my wife and baby to join me in the UK on 22nd Dec 2014 in Abuja. We are yet to receive a response till now. I tried contacting the visa office and I was told my baby's application has been referred to another authority for further enquiries. I don't know what that means. Any thoughts? |
Ceejaynackson:Congrats. When was your appointment that day? Ours was 1pm but we are still waiting. |
Submitted my wife and baby's application on 22/12/2014, reached UKVI on 23/12/2014 and no news since then. |
stynna:Will that be accepted? Besides, judicial workers are on strike nation wide. When do u plan to submit your documents at FSB Abuja? |

Child Intl passport Two passport photo Tb certificate Naming ceremony pics Completed online application form Confirmation if appointment 3. @ justwise spikeC and others I deposited the required funds in my acct on 19 nov 2014, can I submit my application today or wait till tmrw? |
justwise:The thing is, when I first applied for visa in Nigeria, I was sponsored thru scholarship so there was no need for my bank statement so I supplied my Nigeria home address. When I applied for my BRP in UK, there was no need for me to put my Nigeria home address or my Nigeria bank statement (I used uk bank statement). But now, I am applying for my family and am stated we live together and the addresses on my first visa application, this current online form and marriage affidavit are all same. However, upon printing my Nigeria bank statement, I noticed the address on the statement was wrong (having variations even from the proof of address I have them). Also, I am yet to submit my online application. Should I change the online application form address to reflect what's on the bank statement or leave everything as is? |
@justwise Hi, Does the address I supplied on the online form have to same with the ones on my marriage affidavit, bank statement and other documents? |
Hi @justwise, @spikeC and other ogas in the house, Pls help me with the following questions: i) Which oanda printout do I take to my appointment? the one from the date i obtained my bank statement or the one printed on my appointment date? ii)Still on oanda printout, am i to do the conversion on oanda site and use the conversion result or print the GBP1 to NGN and use that to calculate the conversion rate and write the equivalent GBP amount on my bank statement? iii) Finally, if for example, the minimum required amount is N10, and i have held N20 in my account for 28days but the closing balance on my statement is N30 (which has not been upto 28days), which of the amounts should I convert in oanda? |
justwise:Thanks |
Amdan:@justwise, spikec and co, pls help me with this question |
Hi all, I am applying for a tier 4 visa for my wife and baby and intend to use my own bank account. I already have my visa (for PhD) and claimed established presence status (by showing lesser amount) to apply for my current visa. When applying for my family, is it advisable to state under the "Additional Information" section of the online form that I have already benefited from established presence and want my dependants to benefit from same (since UK immigration rule allows for this)? Or should I leave that for the ECO to figure out? Also, on my marriage affidavit, some letters on the edges of affidavit are missing (from production) but still readable. Should I go and make another or leave it as it is before submitting at the application centre? |

Hi, I applied for my visa here in the UK using a UK account statement in my name. My wife and baby want to apply to join me. I intend to use my nigerian account which is in my name as proof of their maintenance funds. Is this OK or does my wife have to use an account in her own name? Also, when using my account should the money in the account only reflect there maintenance funds or theirs plus mine (keep in mind, I am in the UK and already have my visa)?. |
Any news on the interview date? |
