The Actors Guild of Nigeria is helping to fight the effect of the lockdown which was ordered by the Federal Government to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. The members with the likes of Emeka Rollas, Zack Orji, Desmond Elliot among others, visited residents of Surulere and Ifako Ijiaye with food items such as bags of rice, indomie noodles and gave them out to help cushion the effect of the lockdown.

Just in case you didn't know, Folarinde Falana popularly known as Falz, is a barrister. The "This Is Nigeria" hitmaker shared his Nigerian Law School 2010 student identity card on his Instagram page.

Falz also graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Reading and was called to the bar in 2012 after graduating from the Nigeria Law School in Abuja.

His father, Femi Falana, is also a popular Nigerian human rights activist and lawyer.

In an earlier interview years back, the Nigerian rapper who is also an actor, said it's difficult to practice what he studied and what he's doing now.

“You can’t be in active practice and do music at the same time. It is tough to juggle both well. I’m actually certified to practice in Nigeria. I had to ease my parents into the decision to become an entertainer. My parents already knew I was doing music, but just as something that I enjoyed doing because I was studying at the time. After attaining my qualifications, I started pursuing it seriously, and at some point I had to make that decision to go into it fulltime. It wasn’t a case of breaking it to them at once, and they have been very supportive since,” he says.

Just in case you didn't know, the fear of Pete Edochie is the beginning of wisdom. The no-nonsense Nollywood veteran contributed greatly in seeing that his son Yul, graduated satisfactorily.

Yul Edochie just disclosed that he had approached his father while in JS2 to open an electrical shop for him as he didn't want to continue with his education anymore. The beatings he got helped changed his mentality and the rest is history.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread with 210 confirmed deaths in Nigeria with 25 said to have recovered and 4 deaths, Halima Abubakar has taken to social media to state the need on Governors spending 50% of the state's budget on Healthcare & Education.

Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie, is on top of his game at the moment. The Ghanaians think he's the best thing to come out of Africa as far as the rap game is concerned. Yemi Alade appreciates his efforts and as such, requested a collaboration but was shocked Sarkodie didn't pay her any attention.

She revealed this during an interview on Starr FM with Bola Ray.

American rapper Jay-Z has opened up about the last conversation he had with Kobe Bryant before the NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a helicopter crash. The music mogul and the professional basketball player discussed during the New Year's party organised at his house.

A report states that Jay-Z said that Bryant's last words were, "You've gotta see Gianna play basketball."

"So Kobe was a guy that looked up to me and we've hung out multiple times," He was last in my house on New Year's and he was just in the greatest space I've seen him in and one of the last things he said to me was, 'You've gotta see Gianna play basketball," the report quoted Jay-Z as saying.

"That was one of the most hurtful things because he was so proud. The look on his face...I looked at him and said, 'Oh she's going to be the best female basketball player in the world.' He was just so proud of what he said. That was a tough one. My wife and I are taking that really tough," he added.

Kobe Bryant, 41,and daughter Gianna, 13, were among the nine people killed when a helicopter they were travelling in crashed amid foggy conditions and burst into flames in the hills above Calabasas.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles will host a public memorial Feb. 24 at Staples Center for Bryant Kobe Bryant and eight others killed last month in a helicopter crash. The event will cap weeks of tributes across the city following the Jan. 26 crash that killed the Lakers icon, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, as well the helicopter pilot and parents, players and a coach on Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy basketball team.

It's no longer news that there's an ongoing beef between Meek Mill and his ex Nicki Minaj. In fact, 600 Breezy just got involved by telling Meek whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, that for a 'small fee' he will get people to kill her husband. He wrote in the now deleted tweet:

""Aye Meek for a small fee I kno some niggas that’ll make her a widow I’m just the messenger".

600 Breezy then added in another tweet, "Y'all ass the police [cry laughing face emoji] bitch it was Xbox's and flat screen tv's with cable in the prison I was in. And real food, and women counselors and nurses and teachers with fat as*es. I'll be right for 6to8 months Bleep you mean [crying emoji] [muscle arm emoji]."

Meek is yet to respond to the offer made by 600 Breezy.

Trouble started when the "Going Bad" rapper liked a photo which appeared to poke fun at the outfit Petty was wearing in an image uploaded to Instagram. It was then Minaj clapped back by sharing pics of Meek on her Instagram page rocking clothes she considered lame.

In fact, in a post, Nicki Minaj accused Meek of domestic violence. She wrote, “You a [clown emoji]. U do IT for likes. #TwitterFingers beat women, scared of men".

On Twitter, Minaj was more specific about the claims she had made on IG in regards to accusing Meek of domestic violence. 

"You beat your own sister and taped it. Spit on her & taped it. Kicked me in front of your mother and sent her to the hospital," Nicki wrote. "Sucking drake d--k made u feel tough again. Move on." 

Meek responded to her claims by tweeting, "The only way you can try to kill my career is to say I beat women ... talk about ya brother convicted of rape and you been knew and paid for his lawyer ... ya little brother touched that lil girl too! You know I know ... you want me to crash with ya boyfriend and I won't." 

In response to the claims about her older brother, Nicki tweeted, "Imagine talking about an alleged rape of a child to hurt someone who wasn't involved just so ppl can dislike me. You can never stand on your own. You won't tell ppl the mother is on tape asking me for $20 million to make the charge go away tho. U was around. U know. See u soon."

If news coming straight out of various online reports are to be taken seriously, then Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, allegedly punched French Montana at club ELEVEN in Miami ahead of the highly-anticipated Super Bowl on February 2. However, the "Unforgettable" rapper has denied the incident claiming in an Instagram post, “MAN I WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR STUPID ASS LAST NIGHT, WENT TO YOUR CLUB WHERE YOU WAS HOSTING, YOU LEFT BEFORE I GOT THERE TELL PEOPLE THE TRUTH DINOSAUR!!”

Not done, Montana also claimed that 50 who was reportedly hosting at the club, walked out when he arrived. The "In da Club" hitmaker then called the police on French Montana while he remained in the car.

If you recall, 50 Cent recently wrote this cryptic warning on Instagram, "Here we go wit the bulls**t, I'm not gonna argue with you, but when you randomly get knocked out, when you wake up I'm willing to speak with a soft tone. LOL."

50 also penned, "“I feel like I have to achieve what I want in life now after this. I have to focus, I’m not arguing with anyone anymore I'll deal with it another way if there’s a problem.”

The caption followed after the untimely death of Kobe Bryant. 

Meanwhile, the footage below is supposed to show 50 Cent punch French Montana but neither rappers can be seen in the video. Rather, a crowd of burly security guards are seen trying to deescalate the situation.

Trouble started between 50 Cent and French Montana on Instagram before New Year when Fifty scoffed at Montana after the latter showed off a Bugatti that he purchased to celebrate his release from hospital. 50 claimed the vehicle wasn't new and as such, isn't worth flaunting. "You shoulda just got the Uber app on ya phone," 50 commented. "Put that bulls**t back on that truck."

Both rappers began to drag each other after that.

The world was thrown into mourning when TMZ broke the news that Los Angeles Lakers icon and five-time NBA champion, Kobe Bryant, had died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. All nine people on board, including Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, died. Since then, celebs have been paying special tribute. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) say he was arrested on Friday 18, October 2019 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on his way to Dubai Emirate following [a] series of intelligence reports received by the Commission. The authorities say the moneybag perpetrates his fraudulent activities under the guise of being a bureau de change operator.

Though Mompha has regained his freedom, he has been re arrested by the Nigeria Police Force but if course, only in a new Broda Shaggi comedy skit.

Wizkid’s second baby mama, Binta Diamond Diallo, has shared a rare baby bump photo to 4 years ago precisely, a day before she gave birth to their son, Ayodeji Balogun.

Ayodeji was born 01/15/2016.

If you recall, back in September 2018, Binta disassociated her son from the Baloguns after being frustrated by Wizkid's alleged refusal to pay for child's support. She registered her anger on a page created to celebrate the singer's three sons. She wrote:

Snoop Dogg isn't impressed with Donald Trump and has likened the way the President of the United States is running the country to Death Row Records.

The label owned then by Suge Knight and Dr. Dre, was initially successful after it released multi-platinum hip-hop albums by West Coast-based artists such as Dr. Dre himself, (The Chronic), Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle), Tha Dogg Pound (Dogg Food), and Tupac Shakur (All Eyez on Me) during the 1990s. In fact, at its peak, Death Row Records was making over US $100,000,000 a year.

However, towards the late 1990s, the label began to decline especially after the death of its star artist, Tupac Shakur in 1996. Suge Knight was also imprisoned while the likes of Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg departed the label. The label was also hit with lawsuits though constantly embroiled in controversies. Death Row also had a reputation for extreme violence. Eventually, it filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was auctioned to WIDEawake Entertainment for $18,000,000 on January 15, 2009.

Baring all these in mind, it's no surprise that Snoop has likened the way Trump is running the country to that of Death Row Records.

The president has been making negative headlines with the latest being the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds military force and one of the most powerful figures in the Islamic Republic in an airstrike in Baghdad.

A senior Iranian commander also threatened while at Soleimani's funeral to "set ablaze" America's supporters in the region. Despite this, Iran's foreign minister told CBS News that the response would be "proportionate" and "against legitimate targets."

It's no longer news that Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran's elite Quds military force and one of the most powerful figures in the Islamic Republic, was killed early Friday in an airstrike in Baghdad. Donald Trump says the action was taken "to stop a war." He said Soleimani "was plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel, but we caught him in the act and terminated him."

In fact, The Defense Department blamed Soleimani for the deaths of hundreds of Americans, and said he was behind recent attacks on coalition bases in Iraq, including one on December 27 that killed an American defense contractor. The strike has since drawn a vow of "crushing revenge" from Iran.

While reacting to this, Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., popularly known as T.I. stated via his Instagram page that Iran wasn't 'his' enemy while giving his reasons. He wrote along with a video he shared;
