Let all the naive people supporting the federal government keep deluding themselves. I don't get why certain people insist on taking sides with a government that's hell bent on mortgaging the future of the coming generation.


All the loans been taken must be paid, and with interest keep compounding, Nigeria and Nigerians will be paying for these loans for a long period of time.
Perhaps those supporting the government think it doesn't affect them since they are not paying directly. What they fail to realize is there's going to be continued pressure on Nigeria to offset the loans and service it. This pressure will effectively result in an increase in taxes and cancellation of subsidy on any commodity. In coming years, ordinary citizens will pay more for electricity, more for fuel, more for food, more for water, more more more.

As if that's not enough, The government will not be able to develop any reasonable infrastructure because it's busy servicing loans.

Nigeria is heading to a dark place, and some folks are blinded by the little crumbs they get for supporting the elite.

Same elite who during their youth, lived in a better country. They had free education, food was cheap, you could leave your door open without fear of thieves or kidnappers, you could go on hiking or hunting in the bush without fear of bandits. There were jobs guaranteed after graduating. They lived in a better country. They could hold important political positions at a very young age, and they didn't need to know anybody for that. Today same elite have sabotaged the country and sold out the future of the youth.

Still young people come online to appluade and sing their praise because they belong to the same ethnic, or religious group; or because they get crumbs from the corruption. It's a big shame.
My heart bleeds for Nigeria because the country has long been raped and plundered by wicked men.

Crypto ruined me. I lost all my capital about 650k. I'm living a struggling life now. I've never borrowed money in my life but now I can't do without borrowing.

I'm currently owing 5 different loan apps plus my rent all summing to 130k. But I'm going to be paid 94k before weekend for a small contract work which I will conclude tomorrow.

Like this I'm so confused. My lawyer is threatening me. The loan apps are bombarding my phone threatening to send those messages to my contacts But I need to pay my rent first. Na now I know why people dey commit suicide.

O was in your shoes before I reason am. My blood pressure went up and I just thought if I die now, these people will still go on with the defamation and my wife and children will be affected too. So I took my time to relax my mind. Somebody says "nothing is coming down that the ground cannot take". Just relax and take things one step at a time. They have been bombarding my contacts with messages and even calls but I just try as much as possible to stay focused if not, you won't be able to concentrate on anything again. I am beggining to pay some even though they still send messages and call me. I picked up when I can and ignore when I can't. Thank God for Truecaller. You will know who is calling.

But knowing what was at stake, I would find another way to pay up to be honest. I would only be surprised if I had no knowledge of their mode of operations. Applying for a loan from someone that's capable of damaging my reputation already is one hell of a risk. If I must take that loan, I would stop at nothing to avoid a default.

This is why conventional banks demand collateral. If you know you'll lose your house or car, trust me, you'll pay that money.

Well said. My belief is to owe no man. But since what I was afraid of has already been done. I'm taking my time now to pay. No more borrow from one to pay the other.
But no one can scare me with sending messages again. I'll just tell them they should go ahead and send!
