Mr. Acidosis. I agree with you it's not cool to owe someone and have no intentions of repaying.
However, some people genuinely do not have the money to pay on the due date. But the apps will send defamatory Messages to ones contacts telling them you are a criminal with your family.
Is that cool by you?
In my own case, problem started when I made some payments through Paystack but the company claimed they didn't receive it. Paystack acknowledged the transaction failed but they wouldn't refund me until after like 2 weeks. I explained the situation to these monsters but they went ahead to label me a dubious person sending messages and my pictures to my WhatsApp contacts.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Reporting them on play store is the least you can do. Go do a factual review about them and flag them.

Their customers service is just dope. They called me, asked how I was doing, and were even sympathetic with my situation. She even told me sorry for inconveniencing me. I have to look for their money and pay no matter what. Or is it just me experiencing such?
Their interest is very high though.

Some will start maybe 2days after e. g. Sokoloan, gocash, 9jacash. Others have been threatening "legal action" for two weeks but I just told them I will pay as soon as I have the money e.g Lcash and cash lion. Though I have paid a substantial part.
I think Next credit also did shortly after due date.
Many of those messages, I don't even know what app sent them.

Infact, all sokoloan apps. Keep sending different pictures. I think they share one's contact between themselves. Like if you default in 9jacash, but there are no enough contact on the app, they will get the contacts backed up on Sokoloan if you have use it, and send messages to it

Like everyday with cashing. SMS to your contacts to notify you about a loan you took from them

I think they pick your call logs, SMS, Whatsapp and telegram contacts from what I have seen.
They also read your SMSs. To monitor when money is paid into your account and auto debit it. I even changed my ATM card pin, it didn't work.

the app is fake unknown to me so I downloaded it from playStore. and I got registered just like normal app.

first as I keyed in my number to register and the otp code should be sent to my number as sms but the app generated the otp code automatically (First red flag but ignored). I filled in all my details with atm card info, all.

I continued every and the offered many options there. what triggered my application was they offered loan of 30k to be paid back in 120days was what captivated my mind.

so at the dying stage I was a little surprised when they said they amount i wanted to borrow which is the 30k is something blah blah blah that I will have to make a deposit of 2088 for genuine interest and verification that it would be deducted from my loan when paying (second red flag but ignored also)

my mumu me quickly keyed in my atm card details which is the pin and ccv all.

immediately I got the debit alert and going back to the app, it started to misbehave.

first I can't edit or delete my atm details, it's there on the app as default.

no loan offer options anymore. in fact after the payment sef they were even referring people to other genuine loan app as their corporate bodies.

I tried to screenshot the app, no way. says it's protected. I tried to do screen recording it's just dark, nothing. I tried to minimize and screenshot from therr, no way.

they even put timing on the app page like when the time elapsed they can't give the loan again I guess it's just to make people hurry to make the payment.

this is a well worked scam and I know it's not only me that will be a victim.

My fear is my atm card details are still on the app as default I can't even do anything about it which means that the account would be monitored and any money that comes in now is gone, immediately! So tomoro am blocking the ATM card at the office or does anyone know how I can block the card with someone's phone? I will appreciate with the info abeg.

then I went straight to the app store where I downloaded the app, see what people are saying below.

I'm having problem binding my ATM card. After the first attempt which says successful on Paystack but not completed on the mim website, subsequent ones are saying payment not successful.

You don't have to use anybody as referee. The app has access to your contact, messages, location, gallery etc.
They will send the message to your contacts and check those on WhatsApp, and send your picture to them too

I took loan 5k repayment of 6.5k in 14days. Some loan apps will charge you 2.5k in 6days.

The loan apps too are worst. My cousin just told me this morning that she tried to pay one of the apps when she had money but it was not successful. She tried many times not until someone told her that the app did that so they can add some few due amounts. And second one, she didn't complete nor submitted the form but she woke up to alert on her phone and when she logged in, she already saw repayment amount with large interest. That one is Ajeloan. She didn't even put her card o.

I took loan from gocash, as I was about to repay 33k back through Paystack, I transferred a different amount than the loan.(the amount in my wallet was 30k and the balance of 3k was ìn my bank). I now received a message that I have transferred a wrong amount and my money will be reversed in two weeks.
These people started calling and would not even listen to. One Pascal Nwosu will just call with this number 0706 760 8316 asking me if I have made repayment, before I say no, he would start using abusive words and cut off the phone. I mailed Paystack and they acknowledge the payment but said it would be resolved within 5 working days. This Pascal Nwosu continued to call me unmentionables, that when he's through with me I will regret. I just kept my calm. Finally, they sent messages and my picture to my WhatsApp contacts telling them I used their "numbers" as guarantors for a loan I took! People that we haven't talked for 5 years began to call me. The following day, the money was reversed by Paystack. I just jejely keep my money. Let them go and collect the loan from the contacts they sent the message to. Let them go to hell. As for the Pascal Nwosu 0706 760 8316, I will not say anything here.

Calls and WhatsApp messages keep pouring in that I used their numbers as guarantor! I keep telling them to ignore and block their numbers. Some of them even asked me how much, I just told them not to worry. Since they have decided to do their worst, let them go to hell for all I care. The other app have been very understanding. I felt guilty for delaying their payment this far. By the Grace of God, I will pay those apps that have not messaged my contacts but those that did, let them take me to court.

How legit is this

There are a lot of fraudulent loan apps and this is one of them.
Run away from any app demanding for payment before granting you loan. They will collect your ATM details and start debiting you. They don't give loan. They will only refer you to other loan apps.

Sokoloan has messaged my contacts again today.
I just sent them a message that they should make sure they get their money from the contacts.

Cashing also messaged my contacts around 2am
