The evil that men's do live with them. |
FUEL SUBSIDY: TO OUR VOMIT, WE HAVE RETURNED On January 1, 2012, that is FIFTY-TWO MONTHS AND TEN DAYS ago, a certain Goodluck Jonathan, having the misfortune of being president of this geographical contraption called Nigeria, removed subsidy on premium motor spirit and the country went into turmoil and conflagration, literally. Today, a certain Mohammadu Buhari, the man who inherited the misfortune, after dilly-dallying for months has done same. After months of pain, anguish and billions lost to social and economic dislocation, the president has done the RIGHT thing. The difference, however, is that while the nation was brought to her knees in 2012, she won't this time. There won't be a total shutdown of the country. NLC won't call for strike. Human and civil rights activists won't occupy Ojota. Pastor Tunde Bakare is not likely to lead any protest. In short, Nigerians will gladly accept. Let me say this: I support removal of fuel subsidy. Fully. But why should we allow naked politics to make us waste FOUR years in the nation's economic life? Why did we oppose this thing then when many of those who opposed it knew it was the right thing to do? Can those who congregated in Ojota in 2012 cover their faces in shame? If they support subsidy now, can they justify opposition to it in 2012? Are we aware that fuel could have been selling as low as N50 per litre now? Are we aware that the N145 limit set now by NNPC was the same that was set in 2012? I can go on. Those who led opposition against removal of subsidy in 2012; a president who once said he did not believe there was anything called subsidy, politicians who capitalised on it four years ago will be justifying it in the days to come. Same Facebook activists who raked against it will be explaining to us why it was the best thing to do. Truly, they are right. But at what cost to this nation? I am afraid. This nation might never be great again. I am not placing a curse but plainly being realistic! |
Serious issues with squad and manager - Schweinsteiger the emblem of all that needs fixing... |
What Ed needs is a face-saving out with LVG,the longer the negative momentum goes then that seems fanciful.Anyone fancy a boardroom coup? |
A box of four Dutch chocolates delivered on #BoxingDay to Arsene Wenger and charges... |
Six games without a win. That is appalling. It is time to say goodbye to Van Gaal, even David Moyes didn't even manage that, bloody hell. |
And Hazard takes Mourinho closer to the labour market. |
The Nigerian state creates far more losers than winners. And losers are fodder for demagogues. Get ready for many demagogues in future. |
This is the true story

EFFC are human being living here in Naija. Akpabio is a lion. Definitely, he will scale through the propaganda. |

It's difficult to understand how these 2 people manage to retain their positions against all odds. 1. Olisah Metuh 2. Ivanovic. |
Really excited about Martial. Looks naturally so talented - has a bit of everything. Doesn't look like missing at the moment. |
I don't know what your definition of 'Legend' is fam! De Gea is a Legend |
Reputation is very good in any business. Tecno company rubbish their name when they came in newly... It's only a quintessential name that stand like samsung, Sony, blackberry etc. |
I still wish him success as he continue to crave a niche for himself. His popularity has already reached its crescendo where no man couldn't stopped him and will never stop him without the whims and caprices of pontiff maximus of this world. I'm happy to be an offspring to his administration. |
Our complete lack of tempo at the end of the game when we're behind is a joke, We should be hammering them and we seem to slow down our play |
Grace doesn't cover anything that we knew it's a sin. Repercussions will visit us one day. It's a sin if a woman is putting on trouser to the church, not only in church, even at home. The Bible has condemn it. |
Lot of Liverpool- fans asking: - Do you have Klopp's number? Yes! But it's busy.... |
This so called Buhari can't intimidate me wif his useless and nonsense declaration. Someone who said he borrowed bank money to buy his nomination form and his children is schooling at London school. Who is fooling who? Absolutely nonsense. |
I love the kind of Man President GEJ is. Silencing his critics. Without him, there wouldn't have been democracy again in Nigeria. I Still wish him success as he continue to crave a niche for himself and his family. |
Pathetic and sad. RIP |
His days were numbered |
The heart of man is evil. This is wicked! |
I still wish him J J Okocha success as he continue to crave a niche for himself and his family. His sterling qualities are too numerous to mention. Truly add more fillip to his globally work. I'm happy because I'm an offspring to this great generation because I'm opportune to have watched his play of styles. Ronaldinho the great footballer once said that he learned most of his skills from Okocha where they were both at PSV club. I'm a cocktail to today's celebration, feel with emotions. I'm thankful to God for making his years rhapsody a reality. Happy birthday J J Okocha! |
Good and highly speculative! Though it's only applicable to the wise because a fool will always be a fool... |
My question goes : where are the victim going now, is it Hell or heaven? A message for the colossal to be measured indeed. May their souls rest in Perfect peace. |
Amaechi should be probe too for justice to prevail. This is witch hunting. Why should only the PDP people are the only one being probed. Who is fooling who? |
Shambolic disgrace. Emirate was gunned down |
Thank God for CTL. Atleast they are trying. |
