The VAR is there to check if a goal is offside or not. So that why play is always allowed to go on in a potentially offside position. He shud know better

He isn't entirely wrong! Ask Man City yesterday.......they lost their goal keeper to injury because a glaring offside was allowed to play at 2 mins into the match. If it's very glaring, they should raise the flag, else, we don't need linesmen again since VAR is there.
