Politics › Re: Battle For The Soul Of APC: Oyegun Digs Fresh Joker For Tinubu by americanson: 9:55am On Mar 10, 2018 |
benzion72: Tinubu singlehandedly brought in Oyegun to APC, when he was accused of fielding only Moslem then, The interim party Chairman was Chief Bisi Akande, the Spokesman then was Liar Mohammed all Muslim. He went and brought John Oyegun a christian to chairman the party to douse religious bigot tension. But Oyegun has aligned with Buhari and not his benefactor. Tinubu also prop Bhuari as the President of the party when he did not have money to obtain the form. He brought the primary to Lagos and fought Atiku and Kwankwanso dollar for dollar to get PMB the ticket.
But all is history today. I trust Jagaban he is a cat with nine lifes, he will spring a surprise. If he can fight OBJ PDP for eight years without allocation, survive OBJ onslaught that sweep all AD governor away then. singlehandedly form a coalation that dethrone PDP sixteen years rule. PMB is not a match for him.
PMB should be ready to go back to Daura as soon as possible. I respect Tinubu's tenacity and doggedness for unseating PDP, fight OBJ and all. It takes a lot to accomplish that. But don't you think he should have chosen a better Northerner than Buhari? That was his greatest mistake, one which he will live to regret for the rest of his life, IMO |
Christianity Etc › Re: RCCG's New Church Auditorium In Abeokuta (Photos) by americanson: 7:26am On Mar 10, 2018 |
HigherEd: Before anyone comes to tell us the usual story of how we should be building industries and not churches..
Pls note that the aim of the church is to further everything related to the church. People who give to church don't give to church to "improve" Nigeria but the Gospel. So pls channel your frustration to your elected govt officials who are responsible for improving Nigeria.
If you want churches to improve Nigeria, then let's hand over the VAT, Pet Tax, CIT, PayE, Wharf etc to rccg or lfc church because the way it looks as though the churches are managing themselves better than how govt is managing our lives. You have a point BUT in a country like ours, the Church should lead by example... You cant expect your congregation to be singing and dancing on empty stomach because of no jobs. |

LordAdam16: The question is who will sympathize with him aside his fellow Yorubas?
Not one soul in the SS/SE/NC/NW/NE will sympathize with him.
He's only saving grace would be if the Int'l community decides later in the year to discard the Buhari government, then he might be able to make a deal with the opposition to safeguard his regional interests. Anything short of that is wishful thinking. He has always been a greedy bast*rd who doesn't know his place.
PMB has 12m votes assured. GEJ has 12m votes assured. How many votes can Tinubu assuredly get? Yet he feels he can roll with the big boys and wants to sneakily become the President.
Good thing Buhari and the CPC clipped his wings. Whoever wins in 2019 should continue dealing with him from where Buhari stopped. He has gotten away with his nonsense for too long, 2007 and 2011 he betrayed his own party Presidential candidate, 2015 he betrayed his own region, in 2019, he has shown a readiness to betray his own region again, so he is not decimated. The man is cancer.
-Lord Lol... add to the game that played out when Buhari was sick and you will see why Buhari is on his hunt! Fulani wey no dey forgive person. |

Obi1kenobi: To be honest, I thought that Chevron tale of his was fairly pointless. It was artful bragging, ostensibly meant to "inspire" us with his audacity and ambition, but was really just a reflection of the repressed insecurity felt by someone living in the shadow of his father with the public perception that he's just a child of privilege: so he felt the need to regale us with a tale about his "nearly" accomplishments. I simply couldn't understand the purpose of the story.
It's the same with those that attacked Folorunso Alakija who tries to promote a certain image of her success being a product of her resourcefulness and ingenuity and vision and hardwork, when in reality, she might have had these qualities even with her limited education, but she was also a product of a deeply corrupt system with no transparency or accountability where oligarchs and cronies of government are empowered.
If it is clear you're a self-made man like a Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs, or even an Oprah Winfrey who built a small billion-dollar media empire from crippling childhood poverty, you can get to lecture us about how made you are and how you made it. Else, stop insulting our intelligence trying to launder your image in a country where the wealthiest are often products of providence and corruption and crony capitalism. SMH... @laudate and laudateII what is the problem of Nigerians? |

Ikemefuna44: Mr Paddy, the cockroach is never innocent in the midst of chickens. You display your affluence in a society were poverty is rife. You except the poor masses to cheer you. There is hunger in the land. No poor man will ever look at you and be happy. Use wisdom, if you have any, to relate and empathize with Nigerians. most of the people evem thought he was gonna use it's own money for the deal. Remember he was in partnership. LordKO: Any sucker for positive energy will surely agree with you. Although, I don't subscribe to the philosophy of living for oneself first, except where and when mandatory.
Conceit will always remain God's gift to small-minded people. Their philosophy anywhere one may come across them is the same; to ruin you and run. You either become a victim of their shenanigans or their outright enemy. He has point about living for yourself first. I speak from experience. You think about your stomach first before anyone else. |

Politics › Why I Think Nnamdi Kanub is Alive... by americanson(op): 9:31pm On Feb 27, 2018 |
Recently, new hit headlines that Nnamdi Kanu was seen in Ghana and then another facebook post surfaced by one Paul Ujunwa Gloria who claimed she saw him in same Ghana.
I decided to do search on that name on facebook but couldn't find the account, however , I found a reference by a facebook friend which was posted around same period the purported Gloria made her post--in 2017. See attached.
Why do I feel he is alive? The body language of the wife. I have every feelings that she knows where her husband is. A woman who has not seen her husband will not be so calm as she is. Why is nobody also talking about the father of Nnamdi Kanu? At least at one point it was reported that they had not seen both of them after the raid.
The silence from these people who are related to Nnamdi Kanu is tricky.
I read the comments and I shook my head. What if Nnamdi Kanu is truly alive, what will you do and how will you feel after defending him so much? If after everything that has happened in this world you can still give your trust 100% to someone, then I have no words for you. Never trust any human.
There is a proverb that says "you can only trust the child in the womb and not the one on your back"
