Lead performer Coldplay took to the stage at Levi’s stadium to perform some of his greatest hits including ‘Viva La Vida’, ‘Paradise’ and Adventure of a Lifetime’.

Bruno Mars then appeared to perform his hit song ‘Uptown Funk’ while Beyonce also lighted up the stage with her new single ‘Formation’.

So some twin sisters named Owami and Olwethu Mzazi from South Africa, have allegedly married the same husband. In a country where polygamy is widely accepted, relatives did not have any problems with the twins decision to stay together with the same man, till death do them part.

According to reports, this didn’t come as a surprise, as the twins had always dreamt of marrying the same man. The 26 year old twins are married to 51 year old Mzukiseni Mzazi. Here’s what one half of the twins, Owami, had to say:

Following the charge of destruction of evidence filed against him, details have emerged about what the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, allegedly wrote in the torn statement while in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on January 5.

The court papers obtained by Punch on Sunday indicate that five operatives of the commission witnessed the incident which was said to have happened on January 5, 2016, the day the PDP spokesperson was arrested.

The entry number 049 in the incident duty log which was recorded at 4.30pm by an EFCC detective, Junaid Sa’id, on January 5, 2016, reads,

“Destruction OF Written Statement: I have booked the incident of tearing into pieces of statement by Mr. Olisa Metuh, who was given his statement to endorse after volunteering his statement and he decided to tear into pieces the third page of his four-page statement.
“The torn statement has however been registered with the Exhibit Keeper. Entry made by Det. Junaid Sa’id.”
The document gives the timeline and details of how Metuh’s arrest was effected at about 10.55am in his residence at Prince and Princess Estate in Gudu, Abuja, on January 5, up till when he allegedly tore part of the statement at about.4.25pm on the same day.

Soul singer Celine Dion has been seen for the first time since the January 14 death of her 73-year-old husband René Angélil. The 47-year-old singer looked pale as she got hugs from friends before boarding a private jet in Las Vegas with her three children in tow.

This sighting comes just two days before Angélil's funeral, which will be held at the Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal. The church is also where the couple had a lavish wedding in 1994.

Dion isn't only grieving over the passing of her husband. Her bother also died this month. On January 16, just two days after René died from throat cancer, her brother Daniel Dion lost his battle at aged 59 with brain, tongue and throat cancer.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has summarily sacked over 3,000 workers in 19 parastatals, agencies and departments, as he stopped their salaries with effect from January 4, 2016.

A Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, confirmed that over 3,000 workers were affected in the sack.
Vanguard gathered that “the current action of the governor, which not only came on the heels of last Wednesday’s labour protest in Owerri, headed by the National President of Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba, is also closely linked with the recent obnoxious form which the administration forced Imo workers to sign before collecting their unpaid salaries.”

According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu, the workers caught in the sack-web include the Imo Water Corporation, Imo Cattle Market, Imo Sports Council, Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission, ENTRACO, Imo Marketing Company, Imo Consumer Protection Council, Hospital Management Board, and its headquarters staff.

A devoted couple with a combined age of 187 stunned friends and relatives when they announced they were getting married.

Evergreen Bill Griffiths, 91, proposed to Flo Marshallsay, 96, earlier this month after “living in sin” together for 10 years. They were sat together on their sofa drinking tea with Bill's son Peter, 63, at their home in Oldbury, West Mids., when Bill popped the question - in a very unusual way.

Retired engineer Bill first asked his son whether he "minded" if he proposed to Flo. Peter said he was asking the wrong person, so Bill turned to his partner and proposed.

To his delight she said yes and the happy pair will tie the knot in front of around 40 guests at St Hilda's Parish Church in Smethwick, West Mids., on January 16. Mum-of-two and gran-of-seven, Flo - who worked as a pub landlady for 35 years - said: "Bill looked at me and said 'Flo, will you marry me?'

"I said yes and he gave me a great big kiss. He didn't go down on one knee but it was still very romantic.

There was confusion at the Otto bus stop, in the Oyingbo area of Lagos State after an angry mob vandalised a mass transit bus (LAGBUS) belonging to the LAGBUS Assets Management Limited for allegedly crushing a five-year-old girl to death, and injuring another pedestrian.


Punch Metro learnt that the mob, which smashed the side glasses of the BRT and damaged the front windscreen with stones, were later dispersed by by policemen from the Denton division, who towed the vandalised bus to the station

A former Commissioner of Local Government Affairs in Adamawa State, John Elias Babani was on Friday handed a 10-year jail term by Justice Bilkisu Bello Aliyu of the Federal High Court, Yola, Adamawa state for defrauding Adamawa State government the sum of N51.5 million while in office.

The former commissioner was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on March 5, 2013 alongside two others who were discharged, as well as a company owned by him on four count charges of fraud.

Justice Aliyu sentenced the first convict, John Babani Elias to 10 years imprisonment on counts 3 and 4 but the two sentences will run concurrently.

In addition, the first convict must return/refund the sum of N51.5 million to Adamawa state local Government joint account fund from where it was stolen.

The baby has turned! Kim Kardashian, who's currently pregnant with her second child is now happy as her baby has turned with his head now facing downwards as expected.


Last week Kim Kardashian wrote a blog post to fans letting them know that her baby was breech and she had been working on different ways to turn him around. Today she reveals that her baby is no longer breech, but she had to endure a procedure that she describes as more painful than childbirth.

So I wanted to give you guys an update on my pregnancy since my last post,"This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a suspected drug baron, Tochukwu Ubah, alleged to be coordinating a large volume of methamphetamine and ephedrine distribution in the country.

This is contained in a statement issued by Mitchell Ofoyeju, Head, Public Affairs, NDLEA, in Lagos on Sunday.

The statement said Mr. Ubah was arrested by the agency’s Special Enforcement Team, SET, at the old local section of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos upon arrival from Enugu. “He was apprehended after intense undercover operations in connection with illegal exportation of 576kgs of narcotics to Durban, South Africa through Apapa Port.

“The drug made up of 266kg of methamphetamine and 310kgs of ephedrine valued at N4.6 billion were hidden inside noodles, cereals and palm oil,” it said.
