The mum of a Paris suicide bomber has defended her terrorist son saying he "did not mean to kill anyone" and put it down to "stress". 31 year old Ibrahim Abdeslam, blew himself up outside the cafe Comptoir Voltaire.

His brother Mohamed was arrested days after the attacks, which killed at least 129 people and injured hundreds more, while a third brother, Salah, is currently wanted by police.

Today their mum, who has not been named, claimed Ibrahim's suicide vest may have gone off by accident and said he "had not planned to kill anyone".

Speaking in a statement outside the family home in Molenbeek, Belgium, the woman also revealed she had been "surprised" three of her sons were involved. She told Het Laatste Nieuws.

Too Sad! A mother, Anna Bozman Thompson was left heartbroken when her young son died just months before her wedding day, but she made sure son, Lake was a part of her big day.
The young boy lost his battle with leukaemia in May, just weeks before his ninth birthday, the Daily News reported.
When Thompson tied the knot last month, she enlisted the help of friend and photographer Brandy Angel to pay a special tribute to her little boy.

The beautiful thing is that this photo editorial is directed by fast rising photographer Remi Adetiba and was shot at the Lekki conservation Centre, Lagos.

The Ondo State Police command has arrested a 25 year-old man, Julius Olurunfemi for allegedly making an attempt to shoot a phone dealer at Akure shopping complex.

Olorunfemi was reportedly arrested at the Computer village, located in the premises of the Olukayode Shopping Complex in Akure with a double barrel gun, loaded with bullets.

The chairman of the traders’ association in the Computer village, Mr Charles Balogun said the suspect was handed over to the police by the traders at the market.

He said the suspect had come to the complex to repair his phone but later returned with gun and threatened to shoot people he met in the shop.

Governor Nyesom Wike has described the nullification of his election by the Election Petition Tribunal as a gang up against him and the people of the state arguing that the the judiciary was setting a dangerous precedent in the country with the way it had gone about elections in Rivers state.

Special Adviser to the governor on media and publicity, Mr Opunabo Nko-Tariah in a statement yesterday in Port Harcourt alleged that there had been effort to wrestle power from Governor Wike through the back door, adding that legal steps will be taken to defend the mandates of the people displayed in the April 11 general election.

“What is going on right now can best be described as judicial gang-up against Governor Wike, nay, the people of Rivers State. It is an affront on democracy and a blight disregard for the will of the people as evinced in the April 11 general elections.

Firefighters try to extinguish a blaze in Lagos following an explosion on an oil pipeline.

There was an explosion caused by a yet to be identified substance at Number 88 Oworo Road, in Oworonsoki area of Lagos State throwing the entire area into panic. Eyewitness accounts say the loud bang was heard at about 2:15 pm when residents were returning to their respective homes after church service.

They revealed that many sustained injuries in attempts to escape from the scene of the blast, even though the number of casualty is yet to be ascertained as at press time.

A 20-year-old marriage between one Mrs Odeyemi Joke and her husband, Akintunde was on Monday dissolved by an Ado-Ekiti Customary Court sitting in Ekiti on the grounds of frequent fighting, threats to life.

Joke, 42, who resides at No 18, Oke-Ila, Ado-Ekiti, in her testimony before the court said her husband always beat her whenever she demanded for money to buy food items.

The complainant further stated that the inability of her husband to pay the tenancy of where they reside made the Landlord to send them out of the house, adding that this made them to start living separately.

Joke stated that she secured another apartment where she resides with the children, while her husband went to stay in his mother’s house, adding that whenever he comes visiting, he would foment trouble in the house.

So Porsche has responded to Meadow Walker's wrongful death lawsuit, which claimed her father’s tragic death was due to design flaws with the car he was in.

Lawyers for Meadow, 16, claim the Fast and Furious star survived the impact of the crash but suffered horrifically when he was helplessly trapped inside the 2005 Carrera GT when it burst into
flames.

Responding to the claims on Tuesday, Porsche said in a statement:

"As we have said before, we are very sad whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed."Law enforcement officials said at the time the car was going 80 to 93 MPH.

Police Command yesterday, arraigned a blogger, Emmanuel Ojo before an Ogun State magistrate court for allegedly writing a false report against the wife of Ogun State governor, Mrs Olufunso Amosun.

Ojo was arrested last Saturday at Ibara area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The accused during the arraignment pleaded not guilty to the eight count charge brought against him in case number MA/430C/2015 .

He was however granted bail in the sum of One Million Naira with two sureties in the like sum.

Chief Magistrate Anthony Araba who presided over the case while granting the bail ruled that the two sureties must be residents within the jurisdiction of the court with landed properties.

Swiss authorities have filed criminal charges against FIFA President, Sepp Blatter today.

Sepp Blatter, 79, has led FIFA for years despite allegations of corruption against him and other top members of FIFA. Earlier in the year he bowed to pressure and tendered his resignation. However he has stayed on in his capacity as President until fresh elections in 2016.

A press statement by the office of the Attorney General stated the charges of “suspicion of criminal mismanagement and misappropriation.”

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP have arrested Five suspected members of a human trafficking ring..They have confessed taking two Nigerian girls to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to become commercial sex workers. They also admitted that they recorded the girls’ nude videos while they were taking oaths.

It was learnt that the suspects ─ Blessing Gabriel, 25; Precious Ejiro-Owoh, 29; Rose Gabriel, 25; Priscilla Bassey, 33; and 38-year-old Terry Smooth ─ were apprehended by the agency on September 8, 2015, while one of their victims, identified only as Ann, had been rescued.

While Ann was being rehabilitated at the NAPTIP office, the suspects were assisting the officials with information to arrest the fleeing members of the syndicate. It was learnt that two of the victims of the syndicate, Ann and Chisom, had fled from Dubai in August, making the gang to put their nude visuals on the social media.
