Reports has it that a suicide bomber, Sunday morning detonated a bomb at the Damaturu Sunday Market in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

Fifteen people were killed and 47 others injured, Mr Toyin Gbadegeshin, the Police Public Relations Officer in Yobe, confirmed. Gbadegeshin, who made the confirmation to newsmen in Damaturu, said that the bomber, a 10-year-old girl, detonated the explosive device at the gate of the market, killing herself and 14 others.

Report reaching us from Gombe State has it that multiple explosions just ripped through the city killing scores of people.

It was gathered that the first two explosions occurred at a busy motor park. ​The blasts, suspected to be from Improvised Explosive Devices worn by suicide bombers, occurred at about 7 p.m. inside Dadin Kowa motor ​park​.​

The third blast occurred nearly two hours after the first two attacks.

Number of casualties could not be ascertained at the moment as emergency teams are currently busy evacuating corpses from the scenes.

This is coming barely one week after over 50 people were killed in the state by suspected suicide bombers.

During a press conference today; President Obama was asked about the sexual assault allegations surrounding legendary comedian Bill Cosby. Without directly calling him a rapist, Obama carefully answered the question saying:


“If you give a woman … or a man for that matter … a drug and then have sex with that person without consent … that’s rape. “And I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.”


When asked if he would revoke Cosby’s Presidential Medal of Freedom – which he received in 2002 – Obama responded saying there was no precedent for that…adding: “We don’t have a mechanism.”

A man was arrested after being accused of killing a woman and burning her young son alive.
The man, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, is accused of fatally shooting the woman in Washington, and burning her son alive.

25-year-old Prudencio Fragos-Ramirez is being held on $1 million bail for the murder of Maria Cruiz-Calvillo and her 3-year-old son, Luis Lopez-Cruz.

The charred bodies of the mother and son were discovered inside a burning car in a remote area on Thursday. Both had gunshot wounds, but the child was still alive when he was set on fire, according to the coroner’s office.

Security agents from the Imo State Police Command have arrested a suspected human trafficker from Abia State.
The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, through a tip-off members of the public.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Austin Evbakhavbokun, explained that the arrest of the suspect was sequel to a report that one Miss Ibuchi Okafor (20) had left her home.

Okafor, according to Evbakhavbokun, had earlier absconded from her home with her baby and returned without the child, a development that raised suspicion that she sold the baby.

Upon interrogation, the state police commissioner, who spoke through his Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Andrew Enwerem, said Okafor disclosed to the operatives that she was delivered of a baby boy at the home of one Chief Emmanuel Eke of Mbutu, in the Isiala Ngwa South Council area of Abia State.
