i had to go through a lot of stress to get these quotes you need no futher proof to know that the UK threads are bubbling with testimonies. the testimonies below are from the general UK thread. if i go into the appeal thread and the uk students visa thread and start quoting testimonies, nairaland go crash nrd_geek: And so it was tracking day 12, working day 8 - I finally got my visa! how do I say this without sounding too emotional? mmpwah! Nairalanders, you guys are too gbasky! I really, really wanna thank u guys, couldn't have made it thru easily without your helpful posts.
Now, keeping true with this forums tradition, here are a list of the documents that secured my visa:
1. Final acceptance/Visa letter 2. Degree certificate 3. Original receipt for payment of tuition (I paid the full fees) 4. A passport photograph 5. Personal bank statement (GBP 5825) 6. Fathers bank statement (GBP 15950) 7. A print out of Oanda exchange rate for 3rd September 2009.
Chikena! lagospussi: i just want to say BIG thank you to GoD . I got my student visa today. im so hapy i got it . please help me call GOD and thank him, or leave a voice mail for him . i thank God so much , i am going to ukkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
school: southampton solent university
course: Msc Electronic engineer
i was rejected twice last year ,. But i got it now . am happy. Im ready for the oyiboss . uk, please welcome me .hahahhaha ola-j: Thank GOD. Got my visa today.
Want to thank God and all NL that their posts assisted me on this thread. BABABABA: I thank God,I got my student visa today and also i will like to use this medium to express my sincere appreciation to evry body that has contributed to this thread becos it has really help me in successful visa application Khadie: Hey! I just got my visa! Glory be to God.
Special thanks to Ea$y, Funkybaby and Violent for your support and encouragement. I want to thank others who have contributed in one way or the other. You are all appreciated!
Let pop the champagne, no, let's wait till iz2much gets here! dolphin22: i just got my visa am so excited my God is toooooo much. I was refused twice last year(appeal in progress) despite travelling to Uk for visit more than 4 times. I applied July this year i was also refused (i was on holiday in June to Uk), i submitted an administrative review along side i reapplied the review is still in progress but i don't need it anymore because the lord as done it through reapplying. please help me call Baba God and thank him oooooooo ybab: I also applied on the 19th of August. Total waiting period: 12 working days.
I paid my tuition fees in full and my accommodation deposit which was less than 500 pounds. I had over 2 million naira in my personal account and i also submitted my parents bank statement which also had over 2 million naira.
i must say a big thank you to funkybaby. i sent her and email and she responded to all my enquiries. she told me how to fill the forms properly. she told me how to package and group my documents together and paste sticker notes on each bunch. she also advised me to apply at victoria island rather than ikeja because they handle applications faster. this she said might be due to the proximity of VFS to the embassy at walter carrington. all these she did without collecting a dime or even meeting her in person. the agent the university directed me to wanted to charge me 50,000 naira for ''visa consultancy'' (bloody thieves)
i did not include any receipt of payment from the school neither did i include any bank teller showing i had done any bank transfer. i presented the original hardcopy visa letter to them and also copies of email correspondences between myself and the finance department of the university.
i also have a good travel history as i am a frequent traveler to the UK and evidence was seen in my passport.
Once again, i give all the Glory to God |

platinumnk: I have never seen Justwise nor delta in those threads . . . or any others U selected. you must be new around here even before the thread on USA enquiries was sticked in the travel section, delta 007 was number one in terms of dishing out quality and helpful advice to those seeking to travel to the USA and Canada justwise has been very good in keeping scammers off. for that i give him thumbs up. platinumnk: check out the US Visa section and come see through their help, EVERYONE is getting a Visa. I can post recent testimonials of people who just recieved their visa in that section, atleast 10. for every 10 testimonies you get in the USA thread, you will get to read a corresponding 30 testimonies in the UK thread. even with the fact that UK government tightened the rules and made the whole thing more complicated with so many new rules, the success rate this year has been fantastic. all the time i have broswed through the UK thread, i can only remember just one case of a guy that was refused about thrice and that is because he had issues with his finances it is a fact here that the UK thread is the most active and most successful and most visited threads in this section. There are three threads dedicated solely on UK visa issues a) the UK general enquiries thread B) the UK visa appeal thread c) the UK student visa enquies thread as a matter of fact, it is the success of these threads that led to the creation of the US visa thread. based on the success of the UK visa threads and the fact that it has generated the highest number of posts and visitors on this section of nairaland, at least 80 percent of nominations for travel poster of the year should come from regular posters on that thread. just my 2 cents ! |

i wonder what the likes of ''asiwaju'', ''gongo aso'' and ''easy'' are doing on the list of those nominated. can you please state the links or threads where they have been very helpful to a WIDE number of visitors to this section? asiwaju for all i can remember was embroiled in an argument with a guy that wanted to visit austria. that is the only thing i can pin on him. his claim as the ''asiwaju of austria'' the only person that well deserves the nomination on that list is delta007. what happened to the likes of mr. pataki, akolawole, funkybaby, darkroll, VOR, ty4real and busy_body these are the people that made the travel section as vibrant as it is today with their consistent posts/threads and advice and they have helped so many people with various problems and from different nationalities. asides, their posts are intelligently composed, entertaining to read and you can 'feel' the genuine concern in answering all the questions/enquiries put forward to them. you have no idea the number of people the posts/threads that these people have mentioned have helped. although, i have never posted in any of the threads on the travel section but myself, my family and so many of my friends have benefitted immensely from their threads/posts the likes of justwise and ell77, although recent contributors in this section are only building on the good works and solid foundation laid in this section by the names of the ladies and gentlemen i have mentioned (highlighted) above please, give honour to whom honour is really due to. just my two cents ! |

cayesworld: @Poster
I've been following your very interesting thread
First, it seems rather absurd that your guy would go to this extreme just on the basis of difference in opinion on vacation destination. I feel there's more to the story, especially taking into consideration your account of his mum's "response". But we all have our different peculiarities and I've learnt to "Never say Never"
Secondly, discard all the advices telling you to let him go and move on. Look deep within you and decide what you really want and ask him to do the same (just send a text). If it's him, then give him some space, if he really loves you, he'll come around and tell you what the real issue is. If not, you shouldn't force it. In the long run, u'll both be worse off if you do.
You've obviously invested a lot in each other and trust me, I know it won't be easy to give him that space he obviously needs, but you need to give it to him. Take that time out too and hope for the best.
There're no absolutes and we all are just giving you advice based on what you've told us, but there are two sides to a coin.
A lil' advise: Some things should remain between the two of you. So be careful what you tell others when asking for advice. Most guys would definitely not appreciate your "telling tales" about them.
i have said it many times on this thread that added to that argument was an underlying trust issue and this was because he lied to me in the past. i never told any tales about him to anyone. as a matter of fact, people that tried to intervene asked what i did, i claimed i was not sure what i must have done, he was the one that told them my offense. what hurts the most is that am yet to hear my ''charge sheet'' directly from him. i know i will defend myself and i will be fully acquitted am only asking for that one opportunity to talk to him and hear him say what i did wrong. still not a call, text or email from him. mere looking at the phone is driving me nuts ! |

guseman: I dont think he will do any of these now cos you ve talked to him too much. When you were vibrating, you didnt draw the line and now he is playing mind game with you. Silence is the best aswer at times even when aswers are needed. Incase if he changes his mind, dont repeat the same mistake. it is not good to argue with your BF especially when it comes to issue of trust cos that is a very serious offence.
Stop talking and play the game along, i am sure he will cool down soon but the mor you talk the more you fuel the fire. Dont make him feel as if you dont worth the stress ! okay. thanks |

Kenyaboy: Its hypocritical the lame answers give for this lady to move on.
A man pays to bring you to europe, you discuss marriage and having kids and then tommorrow you move on. Pliz.
Gal, ride it out. Not talking to him means you are giving him an opportunity to get back to you, not that you are divorcing him.
Fight for what you believe in. But note that if he paid the price to bring you over, he expects your manners to be above B+. It is quite painful for him to bring you to Europe then for you to insult him. (Pliz watch your tongue in the future, if a man sacrifices that much, he does not expect to be mistreated.). That is in the past though.
Stick it out. He will come back. You will get married, and you will live a good life. Alright. My manners has been B+ If not why will I knell down on two knees to welcome and thank him at heathrow airport? It's only human to say silly things when angry. But truth is I am sorry, i have apologised and sober and I have learnt |
