'Going to church doesn't make you a christain any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile.' - Bill Sunday Religion is a household name in the world that even a five year old child knows his or her denomination. Nigeria is a religious country that has the freedom of religion entrenched in her constitution. Every sunday, christains come out in mass heading towards different directions all in a bid to worship God. They all gather in church with their glittering clothes and faces fixed like saints ready to be taken to heaven in a chariot. We claim to be religious but we do much evils. Our ways are so bad that atheist now have more grounds to lay their claims. In a christain home, there will be crucifix and bible but yet a shrine is situated at the back of the house. I begin to wonder if this is christainity or child's play. These same people call themselves active christians. Looking at the world today, atheism is gradually taking over. We proclaim christ but live a life that says nothing about him. The case of Nigerians is worse as they practice both christainity and traditionalism (juju). We have mimic God enough and it is time to stop. Many christains are in the dilemma of choosing whether to remain in christaindom or continue with their pagan life. They end up following the band wagon even when they still worship other gods. We christains should decide where we want to belong. When we are not strong in faith, we are easily converted into being an atheist. Decide your faith and don't live a life without direction. Happy New Year! |

It is usual for every girl to get 'chiked' by a man but when the reverse is the case, it gives the girl a thing to be concern about. At times, I do ask myself why some guys immediately change their atttitude once a girl says NO. They tend to be nice at first, disturbing you with calls but once you say no, their character change towards you. I know some girls will be able to relate with this. I came up with four reasons why guys do this. 1. Lustful desire: I have heard most guys say that the major reason why they need a girl is for pleasure especially if she is the curvy type. When you say NO to them, they instantly stay away from you. I begin to wonder where the love they profess has gone to. 2. Too many friends: Girls who say no to guys end up by saying 'lets be friends'. Well my sister, he has so many friends and see no need for more. All they want is a relationship and once they don't get it, they back off. 3. Childish trait: Most men behave like boys while the boys behave like children. They dislike you immediately you say no and cut off every contact. I believe this is childish and uncalled for. Real men don't cry over split milk. 4. Low self-esteem: It is difficult for most guys to summon courage to approach a girl. Most guys take weeks, months to practice what to say only for the girl to refuse the request. They lose that confidence in them and find it hard to relate with the girl. I ask again what happen to the love they profess?or was there none at first. Nairalanders your views are needed. Why do men behave this way? |

I have heard a lot concerning this new network business called ultimate circler. It has taken over MMM due to it easy tactics. You register with #12,500 and get #50,000 in a week. This networking business is now rampant in school and has generated a lot of controversy. Some said it is spiritual that the owners might be using people's destiny while others are busy making their money through this means. I am confuse as to whether the business is good to trade in. At times one begin to wonder why all these helping each other business suddenly came up from nowhere. Please nairalanders, do you think it is safe for those who are in it already? |
One of the leading telecommunication company, etisalat visited Enugu State University of Science and technology on the 10th and 11th of November, 2016. Easy cliq gave out so many prizes. It started with students purchasing the raffle ticket of #200 and two free etisalat were given to each person. Niyi Adesanya gave a motivational speech on the first day. Tecno phones and Samsung were also given to those whose names were picked. The open ground was filled with so many students on the second day. Celebrities like Illbliss, Terry G and many others sang and made people dance. When it was time for the prizes, the tension increased. Five Tecno phones and two Samsung phones were given out. When it got to the car prize, the unexpected happened. The first name was called and the person was absent. The second name was also called and the person was absent. This is what happens when your village people followed you to school. The lucky boy's name was called while he screamed for joy. Meanwhile, I was sweating with my raffle ticket in my hand as I stood in the sun. I had hoped for a phone but my name was not chosen. I guess it was not meant for me or my friend who said she dreamt of winning the car. Anyway, well done etisalat but you guys should remember me next time. Congrat to all the winners especially the car guy. #50,000 was given to the best rapper after the rap competition. Talent really pays.
