Have you been following the study visa tread?? If you have, you will be aware that the consulate is now focused on giving appointment dates to those who are going for PhD with funding and priority masters applicants with first class as at 2019/2020 (if I am not mistaken) with scholarship as well.
I do not want to dampen your mood by telling you to include other countries in your list to broaden your chances, but the reality is that, you just have to do so.

Please is there anyone here in Kassel or (Witzenhausen) I need info about how to get accommodation easily for a semester. I am coming for Erasmus at the beginning of the winter semester. Please if you have useful information I will appreciate the help

i think even with these you will need to still present your personal account statement of account as well

I think to be on the safer side if you're gonna be using your parents they should have more than that in their account. Because logically if they give you all their money what will be left to take of themselves here.
Generally this is how it is checked. They will look at the statement of account you're presenting and calculate if it can cover your fees, accommodation, feeding and other costs comfortably. (So I think this is where your personal calculations come in. Because different institutions have varying tution fees amount.

The school only recommended that you present proof of funds capable of sustaining you for 2 years most likely because of the duration of your studies. (I may be wrong)

For the insurance. I did one year travel health insurance with Allianz insurance. Although people did 3 months. But trust me the cost difference between 3 months package and 1 year is not up to ₦5000 so I will advice when the time comes you do that of 1 year (remember it's travel health insurance) when you get to Italy by God's grace you will still need to do another health insurance, it is compulsory so you must do it for your permit of stay.

Based on last year visa application experience
If you have a Scholarship, stipend or funding you have a 100% chance of getting the study visa
If you only tuition waivers or regional scholarship it is 50% chance
If you don't have funding or you're self sponsored.
The chances are 20%
Provided you can prove that you or your parents have regular streams of income to support your financial needs, you will be granted visa.
If you're not able to prove it or your statement of account has comma. You will not get the visa o.


the hard truth is that a lot of self sponsored applicants were denied last year. For various reasons. Majorly as a result of finance. And maybe the consulate somehow knew that majority of them were relying on the Regional scholarship.
Secondly maybe they were not satisfied with the documents presented.
Either way, after receiving admission whatever procedures you take going forward please back it up with prayers even a slight mistake in translation can deny you from getting your legalization completed

I know someone who had this in her personal account and also presented a cooperate account and a letter from the company, stating that they are full sponsors of her schooling in Italy. Though they mailed for extra documents to be sure, she was given visa.

Italy requires 6 months statement of account. Printed not more than 15 days to your submission at VFS.
From the guideline stipulated last year it's advisable to have about €10,000 (naira equivalent) in the account.

For instance NPC cost ₦13,200 last year but the price is usually subject to changes sha.

DOV and Academic Documents are free of charge.

Regardless of the scholarship you have, please also present proof of support from your parents or sponsor, just to augment.

Thank you for your assistance. The person that submitted my documents ran the photocopy behind it but they did it upside down. I sha prayed about it and on Friday, he called me to say my documents were accepted and that he would pick it up the following week.
