LordBiden:Dey play! |
KingTom:He did more than this to make Tinubu president. He faced the "cabals" heads-on and even took Buhari to supreme court over naira scarcity, incase you have forgotten. He merely did it because then, it was the right thing to do. Until betrayed, an ideal Northerner will always keep his words. Mallam is an honey badger, the real ratel. If he sets his sights at something, he never backs off. Na you go tire. |
DaddyJapan:Well, the vehicle of the office of the NSA was stolen at National Mosque, Abuja. That was also a national security issue, if you ask me. |
He never said he directly did. He also said "As does Ribadu listen to our calls without a court order". You forgot to add that part. Mallam is not afraid of anybody and he's a man of many resources. When APC released Peter Obi's phone call with Pastor Oyedepo in an election season, did they get a valid court order before tapping his line? |
OneCandleAway:Okay. Since it will help you sleep better, Aregbe is working for Tinubu. You all need to quit with all these defeatist talks. It smarks of low self-esteem. Is there anyone of Tinubu's allies he has not betrayed or attempted to subdue? Where's Fashola, Fayemi, Ambode, Osinbajo, etc? He has put the betrayal tag on all of them while attempting to do the same to Seyi Makinde. Ironically, he never supported Obasanjo all through his 8 years as president. |
Is there anybody still doubting this? |
seunmsg:Tinubu’s water carriers from the Chicago City boys movement no go let me drink water drop cup. The only reason Sowore's party is still existing today is because Tinubu does not see it as a threat. Yet, he's still being hounded by Tinubu’s DSS every day. Is there any opposition figure currently in the country that Tinubu is not going after? We've never had it this bad. |
And that is okay. As far as he's freely exercising his right to oppose and not getting suppressed by the government in power due to fear and panic. |
PulaPower:You would love for that to be true, wouldn't you. Atiku, Obi and Amaechi are also working for Tinubu. Relax, Tinubu is finishing Nigerians. |
Why are Tinubu's water carriers from the Chicago City boys movement crying on my mentions? Tinubu lost Lagos and his polling unit at Bourdillon to Obi. Obi dusted him in the South. He's only president today because of the likes of Elrufai. That you choose to be ungrateful about it does not mean history will not be documented. |
Chicago City boys movement on steroids. Tinubu lost Lagos state and lost his polling unit at bourdillon. He's simply president today due to 5.6m Northern votes and sincerely, he should thank Elrufai for that. The impact of personalities like Elrufai is not gauged at the polling unit level. It's in the messaging and optics that reverberates across the region. |
I don't know what OP wants us to see here. It's an open secret that Elrufai supported his party's candidate in 2023 with gusto and made him President. They didn't have to be bossom friends for that to happen. Elrufai is a founding member of the APC. His signature is on the certificate of incorporation. Tinubu does not own the APC, even though he has now backstabbed all other blocs after winning, forcing them out and personalising the party. Southwesterners call it master strategy but other Nigerians have another name for that. |
But on a serious note, where are all our money going to? Coastal road and sign-on fees for governors? This will be the 6th MDA that has publicly come out to complain about unfunded budget. Local contractors are still being owed in the trillions and are now protesting every day at the Ministry of Finance.
|
Okay. Tinubu will be represented by Shettima. His knees will be too weak to stand on that podium. Let them seize the opportunity to settle the silent but festering rift between the Ganduje and Barau camp. Otherwise, Abba will have no structure to run on. He has no single structure of his own.
|
seanfer:Is it the job of DSS to make public servants account for the decisions they took while in public office? What happened to the courts? Why try to arrest a man returning to the country on his own accord and seizing his passport without court or arrest warrant if not to intimidate? My joy is that it will go round. Tinubu might be the first ex-president to be tried and sent to jail. |
emkz:You should be happy then. The fact that APC began campaign from the day of inauguration does not still mean that INEC has lifted the ban on political campaigns. Is APC on the lips of everyday Nigerians? Why is APC harvesting the data of civil servants and market women via coerced membership registration. Something does not seem right. |
AK481:But the Northern ones under APC will not vote Atiku abi? What about the APC members in the Southeast? |
The FG has no evidence against Malami. That's why they keep stalling his case and deploying all manner of delay tactics. They said Malami would be ADC's main funder and now they blackmail Makinde and accuse him of wanting to become the new funder. Yet, they are the party with 30 state governors. |
Svoboda:They refuse to admit that they made a mistake and were garrulous in prematurely removing subsidy and devaluing the naira. Buhari and Emefiele already had a plan that was tied to the kick-off of the Dangote refinery. The little reprieve we currently see is a result of the stability Dangote's refinery brought. We would have still had all the gains without the needless pains if only it was strategically planned.
|
Freshandfitpod:Atiku has never been president. Tinubu currently is and this is how he's been ruling the country while his propangists try to sell snake oil to the public. Where is our money going towards?
|
gidgiddy:They no longer do. Without Southern support, Tinubu is toast and he knows it. Can't you feel the desperation? Expect many more cash to be splurged on the likes of Obi Cubana and Co. |
Freshandfitpod:Is that a prayer point or a statement of fact? Just tell Tinubu to guarantee a free and fair election. Nigerians will decide. |
SadiqBabaSani:The mere fact that you say it does not make it true. God does not listen to the prayers of an hypocrite. Where is the karma? There's nothing that is happening now that has not happened before and history has a funny way of repeating itself. In the end, Malam always triumphs over his foes because he's squeaky clean. Do not count your chicks before they are hatched. The end justifies the means.

Fake headline. What Elrufai said is clearly captured on tape. It is in Tinubu best interest to stop believing the words of elements in his inner caucus that keep telling him Elrufai is a small fry. They are only doing so for their personal interest while complicating his prospects of re-election. |
They now pay PR firms to launder image of people like Diezani standing trials outside the shores of the country, and these threads somehow find their way to Nairaland frontpage. I think Nairaland should indicate when an article is sponsored just as other conventional media houses do. |
In one breadth, you claim he's jittery and in the very same breadth you claim he has not withdrawn his statement. Isn't that contradictory? How can you say he's scared when he has been breezing in and out of the country at will. He just came back into the country again yesterday. He left office over 3 years ago and currently has no immunity. You appear to be the only one obsessed about America. This wouldn't be the case if you have a functioning government. You wouldn't need America to come govern you. You are very correct. Elrufai warned foreigners coming into the country during an electioneering period to desist from interference in our country's elections or be prepared to leave in bodybags. Beyond observation, we don't need the help of any foreigner in our electoral process. The onus is on you to explain what's wrong in that statement. Donald Trump is still investigating alleged Russian interference in the Trump/Biden elections that cost him his re-election. What do you think he would have done to any culprit? |
Breaking News! Bisi Ilaka, former Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde and a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has formally resigned from the party. Seyi's men are going into the ADC to clear the way in preparation for the arrival of the Big Bird!
|
TheStoriesOfMan:Are you sure you're living in this country? Let what happened in Turkey remain in Turkey, please.
|
All I sense is fear from the Agbadorian camp. They say Makinde cannot deliver Oyo to ADC and we agree but they somehow believe the 36 state governors will deliver their states to Tinubu. No be juju be that? Fayose can keep providing entertainment in his clownshow while real political horsetradings continue to take place. Agbadorians will try to put the betrayal tag on Makinde but they will fail. Tinubu never supported Obasanjo. Seyi owes him nothing! Seyi! Eja n'la! Oko Tinubu! Omoluabi!
|
professorPABX:Your last paragraph is what I'm most interested in since time will take care of the rest. You claimed ADC are sending thugs to disrupt their own gatherings and that's just disingenuous. Aside from that, would you say the simultaneous crisis in LP and PDP does not have Tinubu's hand in it? Why is he afraid of a fair contest? Okowa was VP candidate and a sitting governor in 2023, why couldn't he deliver Delta state? Aren't you being bias by thinking only Seyi Makinde will fail to deliver his state while all other governors will deliver Tinubu in their states? The South wouldn't just cower to Tinubu and vote him simply because he undemocratically disenfranchised their preferred candidate from the race. The best outcome Tinubu can hope for is to have voter apathy. Very few who didn't vote for him in 2023 will queue up to do so in 2027. We can feel the pulse. It's barely a year to the election and Tinubu is still not loved in the South. Forget the defecting governors. APC had 21 governors in 2023 and Tinubu only won in 12 states. Nearly half of those 12 states were not APC-governed states. He's already panicking and going after Elrufai which is a strategic mistake as far as the North is concerned. |
Tinubu will only end up making a Buhari out of Elrufai. It doesn't help his cause that Elrufai supported his presidency and he ended up betraying him after luring him to the Senate with a view to embarrass him. As at today, Tinubu is still not popular in the South. They try to window-dress the optics by paying PR merchants and hypemen like Cubana Chiefpriest to make a lot of noise but there is still no substance amongst the voting Southern electorates. Only resistance. As at today, Tinubu does not have a pathway to victory that does not depend on Northern support. |
