PoliticsRe: Where Is The Picture Of Boko Haram Flags Hoisted In Damboa/Gwoza? by aminho(m): 5:23am On Aug 22, 2014
dekronik: So far, nigerians seem to take over the job of Abu Qaqa who was gunned down by federal troops sometime ago. Someone will sit down at the comfort of his home with his laptop and write down all sorts of headlines. It amazes me sometimes the degree of news spread out by such to the extent that you will think they are the new heads of boko haram public relations departments. I won't mention names but I believe some NLers are pure boko haram apologists. They paint a picture of a war that can NEVER be won and will always tell you that "my cousin from maiduguri" said this or that. Sometimes they will tell you "my cousin entered a bus with army deserters" etc. I laugh when I read such comments. It is said boko haram have taken over Gwoza and Damboa and hoisted "flags". No one has shown me a picture of boko haram flag in Gwoza. Even boko haram supporting sites like saharareporters and BBC hausa have not shown us the pix of boko flags anywhere. In fact, the most recent boko haram video on Damboa attack did not show any "flag" "hoisted". So my question is this; who's interest are these people serving. Nigerian Army will kill 100 boko boyz but such media houses will downplay such events. When boko boys kill 5-10 soldiers you will see headlines such as "Soldiers flee as boko haram overruns army base". Such disrespectull captions insults the very fabric of our national unity. I challenge Shariareporters and BBC hausa to show me pix of boko haram "flag" in Gwoza or Damboa.
bros what dey usually mean by hoisting of flag literally means that bkoharam has taken over the community, sometimes its just commonsense that will make you understand

* The one I experienced today as I travelled from East to North, we got to outskirt of Kaduna, I saw one guy bend down, I was wondering what he was doing , I felt he was defecating, but I was wrong, he was urinating bending down like women. I saw another boy do same. I called my would be host to narrate what I saw and I was told it's their way. I have never seen such before. It was a culture shock to me.

the guy bending down It has to do with *CLEANLINESS* and exposing *'unclothedness* (which for a man is considered anything from the belly-button down to the knees)

Urine is impure..it is dirty..it nullifies ablution..and even if a drop of it gets on our clothes..we need to change them..or wash them..otherwise we cannot pray in them..or perform acts of worship such as read Qura'an..also..exposing the 'awrah is considered a sin in Islam..and the way some urinate exposes their 'awrah...I do not need to go into much detail..but I am sure you know what I mean..

Politics$619 Billion Missing From USA Federal Transparency Site by aminho(op): 9:44am On Aug 07, 2014
WASHINGTON — A government website intended to make federal spending more transparent was missing at least $619 billion from 302 federal programs, a government audit has found.

And the data that does exist is wildly inaccurate, according to the Government Accountability Office, which looked at 2012 spending data. Only 2% to 7% of spending data on USASpending.gov is "fully consistent with agencies' records," according to the report.

Among the data missing from the 6-year-old federal website:

• The Department of Health and Human Services failed to report nearly $544 billion, mostly in direct assistance programs like Medicare. The department admitted that it should have reported aggregate numbers of spending on those programs.

• The Department of the Interior did not report spending for 163 of its 265 assistance programs because, the department said, its accounting systems were not compatible with the data formats required by USASpending.gov. The result: $5.3 billion in spending missing from the website.

• The White House itself failed to report any of the programs it's directly responsible for. At the Office of National Drug Control Policy, which is part of the White House, officials said they thought HHS was responsible for reporting their spending.

For more than 22% of federal awards, the spending website literally doesn't know where the money went. The "place of performance" of federal contracts was most likely to be wrong.

That's a problem, said Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

"We live in a world in which information drives decisions," Carper said. "And, given the budget constraints that our government faces, we need reliable information on how and where our money is being spent."

The report comes as the Obama administration begins to implement the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act, which Congress passed last year to expand the amount of federal spending data available to the public.

The report said the Office of Management and Budget needed to exercise greater oversight of federal agencies reporting spending data. "Until these weaknesses are addressed, any effort to use the data will be hampered by uncertainties about accuracy," the report said.

OMB spokesman Jamal Brown said the administration is already working to improve the data following the passage of the DATA Act last year. "OMB is committed to federal spending transparency and working with agencies to improve the completeness and accuracy of data submissions," he said in a statement.

The administration is also transferring responsibility for the website from the General Services Administration to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service in the Department of the Treasury.
