mekaboy:Dear dear friend. An ideology is not like that. surprising someone's believe is just like adding fuel to a fire. He becomes more determined. hope u have learn your lesson? |
Lincolnburrows:Bros, how far? |
I was expecting this. Yesterday, i told my friends that if evans don't sue the Nigerian police, then he is a very big fool. The Nigerian Police in the process of showing off breached so much of his human rights. If Evans can get a good lawyer and a competent court, he will either be free nor go for a few years than he deserved. This country is a joke. |
nwaanambra1:Can you come to anambra and speak out loud this shit you just typed? See, if afonjas are to seek for session, I won't even open their thread talk more of commenting on it or to an extent of creating another profile like "kunleEkiti" to talk about them. in many of the threat here in nairaland, you have insulted the Igbos, in some other threat like this one you are claiming that you are from anambra. Ochu gbakwa gi. |
God, when did we reach here?? |
. |
seriously... I won't devote my time this much to write about the Yorubas. I'm not that jobless and bitter. I read your long post to as far as I can withstand. You talked so much about the civil war but never for once did you mentioned what prompted to civil war. What happened in abori? why did the FG backed out?. You asked of what the Igbos bring to the table, Nothing... that's why you have to write this much reason for inorder for them to stay. You guys forget to understand that Biafra is not just about nnamdi kanu. It is far far bigger than him. Both the illiterate and the learned are now fully in for the struggle. |
ipobarecriminals:You need EFCC number? una hearsay pass una. Which court convicted him of stealing/corruption. Just because APC news media said so. dispute what he is saying. Forget the messenger and attack the message. |
REDshouse:No, that's not how it's done. When the ministers prepare a budget, the send it to the president. The president will check on it before sending it to the legislators. The legislators will scrutinize it before sending back to the president who will now check with his cabinet if it is OK or not before signing it. Why we have 3 separate arms of government is for check and balancing to prevent dictatorship. Think of a situation whereby a minister will put maggi as 100 naira per one. or think of a situation where by the president will totally reduce the budget of a minister just because he doesn't like him. or think of a situation whereby budget doesn't project federal character. Who are the people to correct it? that's why the legislators are from all constituency in the country and the owe no allegiance to the President. Like I said before, I have served in a minor house. There was a case an office alone brought out a budget of 20 million naira. while the total money we have in account plus the one we have projected to get is not even upto that amount. And the person budget was made up of unreasonable things. There was a case whereby one item in his budget came up like 3 times. we had to cut down the budget and removed the unnecessary once and send it back to the president. we didn't add anything to his budget, we just send him a message with recommendations of what to add or not. He can decide to add or not. |
First of all, one thing we should all get is that both the Executive and the legislators are not fighting for the common man. We are like a pawn in their game. They use us at will. on the matter at hand. it's the duty of the Executive to formulate a budget. While the legislators are their to scrutinize the budget. To avoid inflation of budgets or repetition. I have been opportune to serve in a house. You will see one budgets appearing in different form. Budget being inflated... The legislators especially budget appropriation committee are to carry an extensive research on the budget. while doing that, the can alter the amount on each budgets. I don't think they have the right to bring in entirely a new budget nor do they have the right to Change the procedures of carrying the out the budget. But they can alter the financial aspect of the budgets. and they can also scrap out a budget. Yes, the legislators have that much power. |
Oshogbo weed strong ooo. |
It's only a thief that won't want restructuring. I don't want to be going to Abuja to ask the FG to help repair or implement something in my community. I want a situation where I will hold my local government chairman responsible. Anyone who doesn't want restructuring is the real enemy of the nation. |
neoShinto:Do you know the difference between secession and xenophobia? |
donsteady:Everybody knows, but who is bold enough to champion it in the south here. Who dares go against the North. The southerns are busy fighting kanu who has made a bold move. We should capitalize on that. The igbos and some niger deltans are gunning for secession. If the Yorubas go for restructuring. The government will have no option than restructure this country. but my Yoruba people will rather sit on the fence as always. |
"A socio-cultural group in Akwa Ibom" Lol... The group no get name. Afonjas, una no dey taya? You guys don't have anything to fight for? are you guys scared of the odd of having an Emir of lagos once the Igbos secedes? |
If you guys love Nigeria, we should be parading play cards asking for Restructuring. The common man have nothing to gain from this Centralized system. We should all crave for a system in which I have to hold my local government chairman if the borehole in my community is not working not traveling all the way to Abuja to that. |
Save it from whom, from what? Nepotism? Tribalism? corruption? save it from where I have to score far more than you inorder to have the same chance as you to get admitted?? Save it from one tribe having the sole right to kill another tribe without the law catching on him/her? To save it from what actually? Bleep "one Nigeria". Bleep that shit. Restructuring is the best way to save Nigeria. Same status quo is killing Nigeria more than secession. |
Daviddson:You lie bro. Why we have the three arms of government is for check and balances. To prevent dictatorship, bigotry, Tribalism Nepotism etc. When it comes to budgets It is the duty of the NASS To SCRUTINIZE the budgets and also monitor to budget. Sum norms are taken to avoid Inflation of the budget or writing one budget in 2, 3 forms. Ideally, the NASS members are supposed to do a proper findings on each budget. They have the power to alter a budget. But I doubt if the have the power to bring in a NEW budget in someone else budget. Rather, they should hv made a recommendation to that person. In conclusion, The NASS don't have the power to add a new budget to someone's else budget, But the have the power to alter( the financial aspect of it not the procedures). |
Come ooo, why are Yoruba people this pissed about Biafra.
You guys love us this much?
What is you guys stress. I bet you, 90% of them didn't even watch that video. |
Igbos are not united they said. let's laugh at them.. hahahahahahahaahahaahhahahaahahhahah ahahahahaahahhahahaha hahahaahahshahahah. |
Am yet to see kanu asking people to bow down to him. People chose to bow down at their own will... There are alot of people I will bow down if I come across them. , mandela, bob Marley, martin Luther People like our very own ken saro wiwa, fela kuti, chinue achebe. I will do that because out of my respect for down, because I really appreciate what they did. so, If some group people put Kanu in that category of people the think deserved their respect to an extend of bowing to him. I think there is absolutely nothing wrong wiyh it. In Igbo land, respect is not hereditary. You work for it and earn it. That's why Igbos hardly bow to their king except if he deserved it.

Bolustical: Bolustical:nnamdi kanu is just a single head in millions of people seeking for the dissolution of this country. He may have started wrongly (i think he did that to get the FG full attention) That's no excuse though. He erred in some ways, like seeking for arms to fight and other stuff. Humans are bond to make mistakes. I think has realized his mistakes. I have hardly hear him of recent seeking for violent. He is now fully seeking for a referendum. am seeking for restructuring or dissolution of this country. I don't want the current status queue not because i hate the yorubas, hausas or any other tribes. I do, because it doesn't suit me. It have not been fair to my region. We don't want war, Igbos are peace loving. We are only asking for a referendum. Stop thinking that anybody who wants Biafra hates you nor want war. |
Few days after the treat from the Arewa youths asking one of the largest ethnic group in Nigeria to vacate the North. I have been following up the issue both in Nairaland and other social media hubs. First of all let me define the 2 terms according to dictionary.com Xenophobia: is fear or hatred of foreigners, people from different cultures, or strangers. Secession: is to withdraw formally from an alliance, federation, or association, as from a political union, a religious organization, etc. One thing that have struck me in this whole saga, is not the treat. but the reason of majority of those justifying such a despicable act. They said "since the igbos want to breakaway from Nigeria, then they should go to their home town". How can someone justify such an act from the Northern youths. This is actually coming from the same group that criticized Nmadi kanu. Now, i present this question to you, WHERE IS IT WRITTEN THAT BEFORE A REGION GAIN INDEPENDENCE, ALL THE MEMBERS FROM THAT REGION MUST GO BACK TO THEIR HOME TOWN? BEFORE NIGERIA GAIN INDEPENDENCE, WHERE THERE EVER A TIME THOSE IN UK, USA OR OTHER NATIONS WERE FORCED TO RETURN HOME? Nigerians have actively criticized South Africans for their xenophobic behaviour. Then, what is this one called? is this not the mother of them all? The FG nor the UN is yet to give or grant them independence nor approve of a referendum. As far as a nation us concern, They are still Nigeria. Am yet to see those in Madrid asking those Catalonias staying in Madrid to leave Madrid. Am yet to read Parisian nor other France province asking those from monaco to leave. Are they no kosovians staying is Serbia? With the dawn of event, This has gone further to prove that One Nigeria is a scam. A very big Scam. There is no oneness. Can those justifying such an act please come forward? Bunch of xenophobias. |
Robbery attack indeed. in Eedris Abdulkareem voice. "Which arm robber no want money Na which arm robber no want jolly na political arm robber be that". We all know what happened. |
Biodun556:who is the "we"? like the biafrans people won't be wearing wears. or it can't be exported to any other country than Nigeria. it is so appalling the way you guys beg for unity. if a group of people thinks secession is the best, allow them to tackle there issue once it is not violent. I believe that " True federalism" is the best way forward. But with sadist like you guys spewing thrash, am having a very soft spot for my people seeking Biafra. and i might soon join them. |
