It is a number game. but to me cashflow is king... if you play your card right, you will keep cash flow going because they add up pretty fast. Huge domains has really ruined the fun IMO... a lot of names you will pick up for $10-50 is being sold for $400.


Someone said it seems like Godaddy gives them discount behind the scene, which I am forced to believe because even Jeff Bezos will not spend money the way they do. Let's admit, not all those names will sell even in 5 years and how they keep bidding amazes me... where are they getting the money from? Another postulated that domainers are the ones funding their bank via dropcatch.

I sold a domain name at Bido.com. The domain wealthydomain.com was handreg and no outbound mail was sent as the initial plan was to make use of the domain. The buyer made a ridiculous offer of $20. I countered with $300 but within 1 hour, buyer again offered $25. I did not want that back and forth game with him so I had to inform him about some of the benefits of having such a unique two-word premium domain name that is ideal for any profit-making business.
I offered to give him the domain for just $250 to support him as the domain is listed above $1,000 in the major marketplaces. The buyer then accepted the offer.

you simply ignore their messages. Once the domain clocks 60 days old, you will get a notification from your registrar. Simply click on the long link to opt in. And if the domain is sold before 60 days, you do a "domain push"
