HisaacPlus: Payne was murdered in Lagos 119 years ago and the murder still unsolved:
John Otunba Payne, born 1839, was a notable Nigerian sheriff and colonial administrator in 19th-century Lagos.
He held important registry positions across the Supreme Court of Lagos and various other judicial departments, including the Police Court and Chief Magistrate's Court.
Besides his official roles, he kept detailed diaries, providing valuable insight into Lagos life during that period, he also organized first census in Lagos back in 1881 which was then known as the first official census of Lagos.
Tragically, Payne was killed at his home in Lagos in 1906 by an unidentified attacker, and the mystery surrounding his death remains unsolved.
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17GtAC6xq5/ The killers of Otumba Payne may have groomed those who groomed the killers of Bola Ige. The two killings happened in Lagos and have the same methodology. If the government can solve Bola Ige's death, they can also predict the ancestral circle of people that killed Payne. |

They can't do anything to him, the Oba of Benin is probably the only Nigerian king that the government can't really remove, since the throne passes directly from father to son and no one else...they can't get a political stooge to replace him from anywhere, they can only use his son, so what exactly was he scared of? When you budget for a road project, there are unseen things in the initial plans, that's why the budget is always over estimated

Politics › Re: “may Nigeria Keep Happening To Me” - Reno Omokri by Amumaigwe: 6:35pm On Sep 30, 2025 |
SolaOmoniyi: Former presidential aide Reno Omokri argues that Nigerians often overlook the country’s progress in education, economy, energy, and inflation, insisting that “Nigeria happening” also means positive developments.
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has called on Nigerians to acknowledge the progress being made across several sectors of the country instead of attributing national identity only to negative outcomes.
Omokri, in a statement on Monday, said the phrase “Nigeria has happened to me” is often used to describe setbacks, while the many positive developments in the country are overlooked.
According to him, Nigeria is experiencing measurable improvements in education, the economy, electricity supply, inflation, and fuel exports.
Omokri disclosed that more than 600,000 Nigerians have benefited from student loans provided by the federal government to enable them pursue higher education. He described the initiative as one of the most impactful social policies under the current administration.
He noted that Nigeria’s inflation rate dropped to 20.12% in August 2025, from 21.88% in July, reflecting a gradual decline in food prices across the country. He contrasted this progress with Argentina’s worsening economic situation, adding that several other countries are struggling to manage inflation.
Omokri also pointed to progress in the energy sector, stating that Nigeria recently achieved its highest-ever electricity generation output, with a peak of 5,801.84 megawatts and a maximum daily output of 128,370.75 megawatt-hours (MWh).
He explained that Nigeria has moved from being Africa’s largest petrol importer in 2023 to becoming the leading exporter of refined petroleum products in West Africa, a shift that has contributed to more stable fuel prices locally.
Omokri said the economy has expanded by about Read more... https://dailyobserver.ng/may-nigeria-keep-happening-to-me-reno-omokri/ You live abroad albeit as a fugitive and wish Nigeria keeps happening to you. You don't know your way back home ni? |
Politics › Re: Jonathan As President, Peter Obi As Prime Minister, 4 Years by Amumaigwe: 10:04am On Sep 30, 2025 |
Slimani: Peter Obi claims that he needs only 4 years to fix things in the country. But he's not constitutionally bound to 4 years.
Goodluck Jonathan seems interested in the presidency, and is constitutionally bound to do a single term of 4 years.
As an obedient, I believe both of them can work together to complete the remaining 4 years of the south and make the country work once and for all.
Jonathan will be the President on paper, with a vibrant vice president from the North. But Peter Obi will be the coordinator of ministers and have the freedom to make decisions together with the president.
After 4 years, they hand over to the north.
This way, everybody gets what they want. A win-win for all parties. That collaboration is the killer format. Tinubu is a goner. OTP |

H didn't even visit the Old man during his campaign in Oyo state in 2023(I stand to be corrected on this) Yet all of a sudden wants to call Oba my brother after calling people far younger than the Oba his elder brother, o wrong nau

https://x.com/PeterObi/status/1972179171196465455?t=asg2iyWUO-oMwROcXkprmw&s=19
Obi's son, Oseloka cannot be calling his mother dear sister, just because she's about 17years older than him. Obi is 17years younger than the Olubadan.
Both Atiku and president Tinubu are closer in age to the Olubadan, and have been his seniors politically. The President and former VP are no 1 and no 2 positions in the nation. Moreover, as senators, senator Tinubu was a higher ranking senator than him. In practice and life, the trio have been close friends for decades. The same is not applicable to Obi. Obi addressed him as brother because they were once brother-governors in the NGF. If Obi is now too young to call Ladoja Governor years after they left office, that only means that Ladoja was already too old to still be a state governor at the same time with Obi. He ought to have been benchmarking his age mates in achievements to avoid playing with his children's age mate and picking insults. Isn't it? |

Dagger111: I remember this story then. It is so pathetic and gory to the eyes. This one is not worth to be a soldier. He forgot the oath of allegiance he took while on training. Nemesis must catch up with any soldier with bad ways. Which oath? Stop pontificating because most of the uniformed men are criminals at heart. Most would do exactly the same if the opportunity presented itself. How does this very crime differ from the regular operation by police where they take a random person captive and forcing them to POS and emptying their accounts under the threat of death? If such a captives refuses to cooperate, they would be shot just like the soldier shot the car owner who resisted the car snatching attempt. |
