This is a commendable step by the Lagos State Government! Embracing our rich Yoruba language in official communication is a powerful way to strengthen cultural ties and promote inclusivity. It’s about time we celebrate our heritage and ensure everyone feels represented in governance. Let's keep pushing for more initiatives like this that honor our roots!

You obviously don't know the meaning of inclusivity. Every cosmopolitan city world over are opening up their space, while one of the the most unlivable cities in the world is shrinking itself further into a backwards tribal cave.

Igbos are very good Business people
But very bad Politicians

Your post just showed you don't know politics. Let's start with PO, why did he have to move from one party to another , its politics .
Isn't it because PO hoped to succeed AA that made him accept to be AA vice in 2019?
So nothing wrong with SW Apc Supporting Buhari because they wanted their man to succeed him, thats politics for you

Igbos are indeed very bad politicians by Nigerian standards. Have you seen the abbysmal level where your brand of politics has taken the country to?

Which normal human being or group keeps mum in support of a clueless leader for a whole 8 years just because they hope to succeed him? Now Yoruba have succeeded Buhari, they are complaining that he destroyed the country forgetting they supervised the process end to end. Terrible set of people with poor outlook to life.

Politics that does not dovetail into good government is unfortunate, more unfortunate are people like you promoting it.

Which other serious country plays your kind of politics?

The thing I can deduce from this post is that the Igbos are looking for friends to share their frustration of the loss of their tribesman in 2023 elections maybe they can have a chance in 2027.

They want to use the "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" until he becomes my enemy again.

Notice that the only thing they are celebrating these days is when they hear anything of terror and destruction, history hasn't lied, I'm sure you are enjoying this moment of trying times because you think you are scoring points ahead of the next election.

Ojukwu also was in your shoes of frustration but he realised all his misdoings at the late hour, but you people don't learn from your previous misdoings

bulkwealth:
You’ve hit the nail on the head! While the #EndBadGovernance movement is crucial, focusing solely on the federal government without addressing the failures at the state level overlooks a significant part of the problem. The staggering amounts allocated to states like Lagos, Delta, and Akwa Ibom raise serious questions about where the money is going and why citizens aren't seeing improvements.

State governors and local officials need to be held accountable just as much as the federal government. These funds should be transforming our communities with better roads, schools, and hospitals, but instead, we're seeing a lot of mismanagement and corruption.

If we're serious about change, our focus needs to expand beyond just the presidency. It's time to demand transparency and accountability at every level of government. Let’s make sure the conversation includes all leaders who have a role in shaping our nation’s future.

Join the discussion and let’s push for a more comprehensive approach to governance reform. It's about holding every leader accountable, from the top down. Together, we can make a difference!

#EndBadGovernance #AccountabilityAtAllLevels #DemandTransparency #NigerianGovernance #StateLevelReform #HoldGovernorsAccountable #GoodGovernance #TransformNigeria #GrassrootsChange

You go explain tire. Address your frustrations to the entity that committed the biggest econonic blunders ever known in the history of nationhood: removing fuel subsidy and floating naira simultaneously.

I can't agree more. The fool should have used the windfall to build refineries to reduce the pressure on naira coming from fuel importation rather than handing them to his prodigal governors to buy more houses abroad and service their numerous side chicks.

If you are intelligent, you will know that president Tinubu policies are great for a country looking for a change for the better not a jungle like Nigeria. You also said we are awoken to the north's scheme, no it's not lost on anyone who the north is, it's just that they are still better than igbos and we saw that we could still work with them at the time and even in 2027, it all depends on where this ends. As for igbos, we will never dream of teaming with you, you are already a clear enemy while the north is at the border line. I want you to understand the points I'm making here because you made it seems like you said something but it was all empty. Yes both the north and Gej can be responsible for bokoharam with the part each took in dealing with the problem, and that does not mean he has 2 mouths or 5 like you said. Peter Obi, igbos, Atiku and the north can all be behind the chaos going on. If I were you I won't celebrate yet because you don't know where all this will end. If Nigeria divides today your people won't be smiling for a very long time.

Igbos rejected you first. Now the Northerners. Are you not isolated and orphaned already? Hope the North - SW alliance that you people gloated about after election is doing well.

Looking at the comments, the Peter Obi loss of the elections in 2023 is really hurting these Igbos sha.

They have the right to be frustrated because Aguyi Ironsi was the last person to sit at the helm of affairs in Nigeria and that was a long time ago.

They badly wanted the Presidency to the extent no one in Igbo land voted for anyone except Peter Obi.

They lack resilience, and they are emotional rather than logical, if you want to talk about politics with an average Igbo man, you will end up getting insulted, it's really bad

Yes, you don't need anything from Nigeria. But Nigeria will make it difficult for you to achieve anything if you keep fighting a lone battle.

Funny enough, it's easier for Igbos and Hausas to work together and build Nigeria to enviable heights if not for the perpetual brainwashing that you government propaganda zombiés spread to discourage any unity between Igbos and Hausas.

Get lost zombie.
Igbos need nothing from Nigeria. Unfortunately for Nigeria, they cannot do without Igbos. This complexity is what is making Nigeria at a loss about what to do with Igbos. Nevertheless, we move.

Politics / Re: South East Youths Staying Off This Protest Is Bad For Their Future by Amumaigwe: 1:19pm On Aug 03
LandMann:
Those protesting today are doing so because the problems they're protesting against affects EVERY Nigerian.

I understand that government propaganda agents successful played the tribal card to dissuade Igbos in southeast of Nigeria from joining the protest because they know that the southeast has innovative ways to escalate the protest quickly to make sure the demands of the protesters are achieved.

Unfortunately, this strategy will backfire in the long-term, and it's only the politicians in southeast who are benefiting from Nigeria's current arrangement that will benefit from whatever outcome this protest leads to.

A time will come when the southeast will need the support of other regions to actualise their goal. I'm 100% sure that when that time comes, reference will be made to this era and how the southeast youths refused to support the youths of other regions to demand for an end to bad governance in Nigeria.

Consequently, the southeast will be left to perpetually fight alone.

The solution is to use social media to show support for the protests and make such support clear and visible.

If possible, defy the call by the wicked and selfish politicians in the southeast and come out to protest in solidarity with the rest of Nigeria.

Protest in your southeast states peacefully and show it to the world.

Don't listen to your politicians who have been silent while Nnamdi Kanu continues to rot in jail but the same agitator from southwest Sunday Igboho is walking free.

Don't listen to your politicians who have been part and parcel of the existing political structure in Nigeria that impoverishes people and spreads hopelessness.

Join other Nigerian youths to show the world that Igbos also want an endtobadgovernance in Nigeria

Wherever you see posts mocking those protesting today, don't join the poster in mocking the protesters. In fact, condemn the post and the poster openly and make it known that Igbos 100% support this protest and want positive change in Nigeria.

Remember, government propaganda agents may use fake Igbo identity to spread posts mocking those protesting today to make it seem Igbos are happy that others are suffering and complaining.

That is why you must counter the government propaganda agents anywhere you see their posts.

Most of them hide under fake names and identities to spread their propaganda and misinformation.

Don't allow them win. Keep doing your best to counter them. History will always remember you
