Evening Everyone. I finished with a good BSc grade in 2015 in Microbiology. Due to challenges of securing a job I ended up working in a bank since 2017 and resigned in 2020 becauseI was clearly not happy. Now I have funds to further my studies. I applied for an MSC in Biotechechnology relating to my first degree. I went for a UK university open day and the lady outright told me I will be denied a UK visa because I have study gap and my work experience doesn't relate to my masters course. I choose not to be discouraged. I don't know if anyone has been in my situation and gotten a visa approval. Thank you

I think she’s right.
It’s all about career progression.
You might want to consider a career in finance/finTech since you already have the experience

Yes, I know someone that got admission to study at Teesside without submitting his certificate or transcripts, he didn’t even submit reference letter. He was asked to upload everything after he got an offer. I think he was just very lucky

I didn’t call the school wack tho. I only said STUDENT REVIEW!.
We all have things we look out for when choosing schools. I used the Guardian Uk to check for Schools rank in the UK

Mind you there are so many educational rankings. Your school might be at the top of one ranking but might be at the bottom in another ranking.

So I hope your school is at the top of the rank.

There are times the school might not be there to support you like getting a job.

You have to go out there and get a job. They might support you with letters, cv, interviews (practice) etc but that's were it stops. You will do the rest by yourself. You will speak to companies by yourself and tell them why they should employ you.

What makes you think you're better than other candidates.

I just know that wherever you want to get your education from matters a lot
I just stated what applies to me (what I look for in school) it might not apply to you and I’m not here to dispute any fact

The module
The course ranking
The school rank
Alumni strength
School support
And so many things

I am trying to book a date this month for Tuberculosis test in Lagos for UK visa application but there is no available date listed.

Please can someone tell me how to go about it. Thank you.

This is what I did
And I got an email confirm my test date this evening
Send an email with the subject as URGENT!!. I’m the body of the mail, explain to them that you’ve been trying to book a date and couldn’t get a slot and your resumption date is January. Attach your passport data page and offer letter to the mail. They’ll reply after 3 days with your test date and other information

Pls don’t do Bedfordshire. It’s the the last on the list of UK school ranking. The rank of any school you decide to go means a lot. The school ranking should be one of the things you check before applying. Also their student review is wack.
