Politics › Re: Should Saraki Resign Over Forgery And False Asset Declaration Cases? by Anabel(f): 5:25pm On Jun 29, 2016 |
This is tantamount to accusing directors of a company of forging the memorandum and article of the company. If a company, at a general meeting, says this is our article, so be it. It does not matter if one or two members say they don’t agree with the Standing Orders. This is a case where the Senate has absolute supremacy. Prosecuting the leader of the Senate is like prosecuting the entire Senate; there is no supervisory body over its activities and whatever happens at the Senate. It is a matter in which the Senate is supreme. Can anybody say no to whatever the Senate calls its Standing Orders.
===== first of all Bros chucks. The Senate is not anyone's father's company. It's the power house of a nation so yes, when things look wrong or feel wrong. Questions should be asked. They were elected to those positions. It's not an inheritance ===== |

chrisxxx: I like what Ekweremadu did. If US shows interest there will be no 'rigging' of the judgment. It was the same strategy used by APC in the last elections. US and UK showed interest and everybody did what they where supposed to do. Sit down there and be living your life in the shadow of America |

There is nothing wrong if one is been invited to clear his or her name. It is only in Nigeria that people will start shouting witch hunt and stir up silly emotional and tribal sentiments.

Some people are in this thread who wish to go into politics soon and they are busy misplacing priorities. If someone is accused of anything, there's nothing wrong about him being investigated. We blame govt over too many things but see someone here justifying an investigation over unpaid workers salaries. If you don't like the President, you are free to talk. Na you get your mouth. I bet some of you guy blame Buhari for your horrible sex life. #awonElenuRunrun |

Xapio: So in your own view, what do you think NLC should do to ameliorate the suffering of the masses, and in what way should they go about it? Mind you, NUPENG is not in support of the strike but PENGASSAN is in support of it. NUPENG is not in support because they are already mounting FG to increase their (NUPENG) minimum wage to 90k/month.. Smart dialogue. Let them feel you wanna take action but you won't take it. mind you, it was when Nigerians started complaining of the whole point of the strike, that was when NLC added increment of the minimum wage to the list of their discussions. |
Politics › Re: Financial sector workers urged to obey NLC on strike by Anabel(f): 11:34pm On May 17, 2016 |
nextstep: So they care about the welfare of Nigerians yet want to shut the entire country down? This will disrupt and hurt the economy more than the fuel price. Most of us are already buying fuel at around #145, so this latest government action doesn't really mean much, and strike is just going to do more harm than good.
In fact, when is the last time that NLC strike provided us with any long-term benefit? Occupy Nigeria only pushed the painful decision about stopping subsidies to now, but didn't really address the underlying issue of non-functional refineries.
How are we supposed to go to work, do business, or buy goods if the financial system is crippled? These people think that strike is going to affect the ogas at the top. Na lie... na we go suffer am. Smh Gbam!!! Tell them make them hear loud and clear. |
