Sorry all for the silence. A lot was going on. However, I'm pleased to inform everyone that Olori and I got married today August 11 2016. It's been a very long journey for both of us and also since this thread began. Just like all good stories, they finally come to an end and this is the end of one story and the beginning of another.

Hmmm! You mean all these have happened? What a never-ending story that is ever new! I opted out of Nairaland for about 3 years now and what a pleasant news that forced me out of “retirement”!

Truly, “we are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed” (1 Cor 4 vs 8 )! What more shall I say? “But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 15 vs 57). What a journey of patience and perserverance! What a journey of trials and temptations! I salute your courage to forge ahead. I salute your resolve to stay focused. I salute your tenacity to hold on to hope when there was none. I salute your brokenness to let go, so you can let in!

In life, things happen that make us wonder why. This is a lesson that ultimately, if we don’t give up, He makes all things work together…for our own good. The experience may not be pleasant. It may not be all rosy. It may not be smooth. It may be full of thorns and thistles. Friends, at the end, they all work together …for good! Though the sorrows may last for a night, joy certainly comes in the morning! Serubawon and Olori, welcome to your morning!

This is wishing my friend Serubawon and Olori (what an olori!) all the best there is. You certainly deserve it. I have no doubt in my mind that you have both been moulded and shaped in the furnace. It is therefore time to glow with brightness and radiance.

Please can you show the pictures of the frames, especially to the one with ply wood in the middle? Also, do you have any other designs with the quality of the 15k type? Is there any other disadvantage to the foreign wooden doors, especially if you are not using them in toilets/baths?

Serubawon, it's been a while! I join you and others in thanking God for this journey. This has truly become inspiring and a source of encouragement for many. This is not just a thread, it's a memoir- a journey spanning several years and it's not ending soon, I tell you. Why are you not considering the book offer? I recall saying you have a ready material right here on this thread. All you need is fine-tuning. Please dust your notes and get to work on it.

I am not seeing just one book but two- I see a sequel to this, titled "From Widower to Husband - The Serubawon story" or something like that- the first one ending at the nuptial tie (thus changing the status from widower), the 2nd taking it from there (and chronicling the happy new life, challenges, issues and success of a man finding love and happiness again)!

This story is not ending soon...

Thanks friend for looking out for me. Deeply appreciated. One of the most priceless things we have is our health! Most things depend on it. Without it, almost everything is meaningless, including money! Talking about Mrs Analytical, we were 12 over the weekend! So another 50 years is achievable!

Thinking of what you wrote above now, is it not true that women actually have final say in such matter? They spend more time there than us, so they should. We don't really bother so much about what colour the curtains should be, or whether there should be any at all but they will spend weeks trying to get the best combination! How many hours do men really spend in the kitchen, dining room, or the garden? Even in the sitting room, apart from watching your favourite sports club playing, hom many hours do you spend there?
