Due to the restrictions that come with Naira-based debit cards; limiting shopping and making online payments, find below the best virtual dollar cards in Nigeria.

As a Nigerian, utilizing debit and credit cards to pay or make purchases online is one of the most suitable and convenient ways. It could be shopping for gadgets, clothes, and more on cheaper shopping websites or the best shopping websites for your preferred choice. It becomes frustrating and inconvenient when you decide to pay for services on some international platforms and service providers like Spotify, Amazon, Facebook, Apple Music, Google, Netflix, Shopify, Alibaba, and Fashion Nova among others. This also applies to paying on some app payments gateways. You will discover the Nigerian debit or credit card keeps being rejected.

Why would that be? It is because either the Nigerian banks have set a daily limit of $20 and a monthly limit of $100 on foreign and international transactions or these foreign websites and international platforms won’t just accept your card.

The most suitable solution to all these is a virtual dollar card. A virtual dollar card is not a physical, handy, or plastic card like regular debit and credit cards. Dollar limit on naira cards are now $20/month.
Virtual USD cards are being banned left and right.
PTA has been almost impossible to access from the banks.
Getting forex to pay for school fees has become increasingly difficult.

So, the dollar rate is not artificial, just wait for September admission Japa wave to U.K and January admission wave to U.S, if CBN doesn't provide forex for these needs, the scarcity of dollar would push it to 650 by 2023.
There are still a couple of companies that operate virtual dollar cards, please read this article to find them

Hon. Justice Anaga Kalu Uche ( Okele Odonyi, Ania) served as the President of Ohafia Improvement Union for a record period of 17years.

HON. JUSTICE ANAGA KALU UCHE
OKELE-ODONYI OF ANIA, OHAFIA
(1917-1983)

(UP-DATED COPY) Jan.28, 2021

B.L. ( UNIVERSITY OF LONDON).

LLB. (UNIVERSITY OF EXETER).

HON. MEMBER, EASTERN NIGERIA HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY.

COMMISSIONER, EASTERN NIGERIA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.

LEGAL ADVISER, PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SYNOD.

LAY READER AND ELDER OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF NIGERIA.

MEMBER BIAFRA CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY.

COMMISSIONER, BIAFRA POLICE SERVICE COMMISSION.

HON. ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE, ORLU JUDICIARY.

Hon. Justice Anaga Kalu Uche was the third of seven children born into a noble family in Ndi Uduma Awoke, Ohafia, Abia State, Nigeria. He was however the first son.

His father, the brother of Prof. Eni Njoku's mother had relocated from Ebem, Ohafia to Ndi Uduma Awoke, Ohafia and married Nneafor. The couple was engaged in subsistence farming. Anaga Kalu Uche was the third of seven children and the first of five boys.

Anaga obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from Akanu Primary Mission School and proceeded to Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar, for his Higher Elementary School Teacher’s Certificate. Soon after, he started his teaching career with the Presbyterian Church of Scotland Mission School in Akanu. At this time he fell in love with a shy, very beautiful young girl, Eresi Ezi Mbila. It turned out that she was from Ndi Ikpo Compound as he. He married her. Their wedding ceremony was attended by many of the white Missionaries he worked with. It was the first time Ndi Uduma Awoke villagers witnessed a wedding attended by white Missionaries. The story about the wedding was told for generations. He took her back to Akanu to start their family

He quickly rose to become Inspector of Schools within Bende Division which included Igbere, Abiriba, Ohafia and Arochukwu. As he travelled around these territories his passion for his homeland Ohafia grew. The more he travelled through Ohafia he realized her developmental potentials and was enamoured by the beauty of its topography

He had always believed that development of any Community starts from the grassroots. Living in Akanu and being close to the other neighboring villages including his native village Ndi Uduma Awoke inspired him to conceive a Union that could bring the neighboring villages together for faster development. He and other community stalwarts created ANIA Development Centre, an Autonomous Community comprising of five neighboring villages of: Akanu, Abia, Ndi Uduma Awoke, Isiugwu and Amankwu for accelerated development. He established the ANIA CENTRE as the Headquarters and soon after relocated his family from Akanu village to Ania so he could supervise its development. ANIA market days was instituted through his leadership and all villages under ANIA brought their wares and farm products to sell. Ania Development Centre was right on the road between Ebem Ohafia and Ndi Uduma Awoke on the way to Ihie and Arochukwu. These Communities patronized the market and it thrived. ANIA was the first Development Centre created for development in Ohafia. Soon, other Communities in Ohafia copied and created Development Centres such as Isiama and others, which were established to drive grassroots development. These became the precursors of the creation of the present Autonomous Communities, which are politically motivated.

In 1952 he secured admission into the University of Exeter in England to study Law. He was called to the Bar in 1957 at the Middle Temple after obtaining his LLB Exeter and BL London. He turned down a job offer by the British Railway Authority and returned to Nigeria the same year. He was driven by his desire to return and drive the development of his Community and Ohafia as a whole. He set up a vibrant Law practice in Aba, Eastern Nigeria. Soon he was elected simultaneously President of the following unions - Ohafia Improvement Union (O.I.U.), Ania Improvement Union and Ndi Uduma Awoke Welfare Union.

In 1963 ran and won an election to the Eastern Region House of Assembly representing Bende East Constituency under the party NCNC. His unique political slogan during his campaign was “ THE HOUR THE MAN”. He won the election.

While a Legislator, at Ohafia level Anaga Kalu Uche attracted the establishment of Government Technical College (G.T.C.) Ania, and the then novel Post Offices at Ania, Ebem and Amaekpu. He also attracted the tarring of roads through Ohafia by the then Regional Government of Eastern Nigeria. There were no Federal roads in the days of the Regions.

Just before the Nigerian Civil War (also referred to as the Biafra War) broke out he was appointed a Commissioner in the Eastern Nigeria Civil Service Commission. He took this opportunity to ensure the appointment of many young Ohafia University Graduates into the Eastern Regional and Federal Civil Service. He mentored many Ohafia young men and women to choose the Law profession. He also inspired many others to become effective Community Leaders and Politicians. During the Nigerian Civil War, he was nominated a member of Biafra Constituent Assembly, representing Ohafia. This was a Think-Tank group that met periodically with the top Command of Biafra to brain-storm on the way forward. He was also appointed a Commissioner in the Biafra Police Service Commission.

After the Civil War in 1970 he once again set up a vibrant Law practice in Umuahia, in the then Imo State. He led the Umuahia Bar for many years as Chairman of the Bar Association. He was one of the prominent Abia elites who lobbied for the creation of Abia State which was to be carved out from the former Imo State. In 1976 he was appointed a High Court Judge.

Anaga Kalu Uche was the President General of Ohafia Improvement Union for unprecedented 17 (seventeen) years. As President General of Ohafia Improvement Union (O.I.U), he led the O.I.U to establish the Ohafia High School, Ebem. Ohafia High School became the symbol of the unification of Ohafia, to march forward together as an entity, leading to the stability O.I.U enjoyed under his leadership. This period covered the greater part of his Law practice years. He only stepped down meritoriously when he was appointed a High Court Judge in Eastern Region. He stepped down to avoid conflict of interest in his new role as a Judge.

A. K. Uche had an abiding faith in God.This guided him throughout his life. He never missed an opportunity to preach the Sermon in any Church he was invited. He loved farming and owned a large Plantation which he visited and happily harvested crops often whenever he visited home to Ndi Uduma Awoke. His passion for Ohafia culminated in his authorship of a book titled" OHAFIA CUSTOMS AND PRATICES" He was called to glory on September 7th, 1983, while still in service as the Administrative High Court Judge in Orlu. He is survived by ten children, many grand and great grandchildren.

Please I do not understand these banks. I went to Zenith and was told only 1 million upwards. Also at Stanbic IBTC, was told secondary has ended. Only primary is on. But I thought the rates been display was on the 15th. So why are they saying secondary has ended. And why will Zenith say only a million naira upwards can invest?

In Zenith Bank, the least is a million naira.
You may decide to use First Bank. The least amount in 100 thousand naira.
Yes that maybe their policy, you know of recent you can only invest in the primary market if you have 50,000,000 (Fifty Million Naira), what bank do is that they collect a large pool of investment, collecting large sums will ease their management as they will be a limited number of people to manage, that will be the main reason why they only accept not less than 1,000,000

hias2012:
Good analogy. Good to diversify, and well done folks. But what none has hinted is at what "time" one converts his/her dollars to Naira in order to make profit. In 2016 when the exchange rate skyrocketed was partly because of scarcity of dollars. Banks put a cap on how much dollars you could spend off your dorm account whilst abroad. For the most part, withdrawing in Nigeria wasn't even as easy as the banks cried they didn't have dollars to issue out. I guess this was the case whether you wanted to buy off the counter or withdraw from your dorm account. Hence the black market rate headed far North. And this is the reason people matained warehouses and Ikoyi flats as their dorm account for easy access. When we analyse it's good we highlight the pros and cons. The reason majority invest in TB is because they are sure of their rates, interest and capital and the "time". If you stack your dorm account, which is good, but who says or knows when exchange rate would go again far up and juicy enough at which point you decide to sell? This is not known by anyone. We've probably had like the 2016 experience twice since 1999 or thereabout. Many people died while waiting.

That said the second issue is that everybody is not the same. Some are more risk adverse than others. Some would dare the risk with the hopes of higher returns, and we know that only a percentage of this actually make their money - make it big while others lose evrything or die due to hypertension. But those who like it small, and are careful investing in zero-risk ventures are free from the above hassles, they ALL make their money albeith surely and steadily.

The third is that it is not TB rate that determines inflation rate but the reverse. Hence the fluctuation. So those praying for higher TB rate should know. Higher inflation, higher TB rate and we actually don't pray for this. We pray intlation rates keep going down. So if you have money and you don't know the sure profitable business or venture to invest in, keep investing in TB. However, make sure you don't eat all the interest, make sure part of it is reinvested otherwise with rising inflation the actual worth of your money is reducing over time if you EAT all the interest.

So far all the analysis make a good read for me, and this forum has to be lively to educate and as well to thrill.
Thanks Boss, people read one small thing and think they know it all

I am wondering, did you ever see me say "do not buy Tbills?"

This is why I dislike advising Nigerians. They become hostile towards the truth. The same reason why the country is in shambles today.

I just stated some facts about what we are all putting our money in, me included. Also the importance about hedging and the risk of higher rates, inflation and not considering buying power.

Tell me, are we only to come here to discuss how good 16/18% rates are good? How we are becoming richer? Without understanding anything about Tbills? Or factors that affect rates? Or why higher rates should make you scared? It's almost like investing in something and expecting more returns without understanding the implications or why there should be more returns.

I am sorry for saying the truth about our safe investment, Tbills. I am sorry for trying to make people understand money more. I am sorry for saying anything at all in the first place. I can see I might be the enemy to so many people's dreams of becoming rich through Tbills, I apologize.

Turmeric

If there's a herb that should always be available at hand, at home and everywhere you go? It is turmeric! Turmeric is argued by many to be the most powerful herb on the planet at fighting and potentially reversing disease. And it is useful for just about anything. Whether it's in your food or for your teeth, skin, health and beauty turmeric has a benefit for all these if you know the proper application.

For your food: Turmeric powder is packed with super-nourishing curcumin and heaps of healthy properties. It delivers an earthy flavour like no other, complete with subtle notes of orange and ginger.
Adds distinct and delightful flavour (and stunning yellow-gold glow) to cuisine from every continent. Perfect for flavouring rice, vegetable dishes, curries, stir-fries, soups, broths and much more.

For your health: A highly effective and 100% natural anti-inflammatory. This helps to protect our joints, maintain overall flexibility and protects the body from oxidative stress. Helps maintain liver and biliary system health and promotes a good appetite. Turmeric powder also facilitates the digestion in various ways, improving the breakdown of fats, stimulating digestive fluid production and generally promoting greater digestive comfort.

For your skin: Turmeric is an antioxidant that fends off free radicals that cause premature aging.

To make a face mask,

Mix a few tablespoons of Turmeric + honey or milk + 2 drops of lemon in a bowl
Add water and stir to form a smooth paste.
Apply on freshly washed skin.
Leave this mask on for at least 20 minutes, rinse off with water.
Turmeric face masks soothe skin blemishes and heal acne scars to rejuvenate your skin.

For your bones: Because curcumin is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing property, a study was conducted on 45 rheumatoid arthritis patients to compare the benefits of curcumin in turmeric to the arthritis drug diclofenac sodium and it was found that patients using curcumin improved much better overall than those on diclofenac sodium without adverse effects.

Mba. It will be treated like a C/O
Sorry for asking but I am not to clear yet

What does Mba mean?

I assume C/O means carry over, does that mean that I will be scored on this
Because from my understanding, a carry over is when you fail a course which is scored and has to be repeated

Thanks for your patience, I really appreciate
