See there's nothing to be afraid of, My opinion is that, As long as you'hv paid your Immigrant visa fees, Your visa is 70% ready for you. Just go for interview and show your face & make sure your details corresponds with what they have in their file, Very easy, Don't be scared. Its non-immigrant visa people that do get rejected a lot, very rare to see someone who applied for Immigrant Visa & you get to the stage of interview & they tell you No?? Its very rare, the highest they can tell you, is for you to bring additional documents through DHL, and if you bring the correct documents, they issue your visa in 2 or 3days, Very easy. So don't be scared, Your visa is already with them as long as there's no issue with ur documents

No dear, He can scan and send to you. Your files are there with them at the embassy, They will give you back some original files sef. Just Go through the check list properly, go with everything they asked for

Hello guys I just did my interview now..
And it was Good ( although the black woman who was the interviewer was a bit tough but we thank God)....she told us we are approved ..and she evem gave me and Brother a form to fill declaring that we wont get married till we get to d US..but she then told us to tell our Petitioner to ask her spouse to fill in I-864A since she is married... And we should drop it at the DHL office along with our international passport!

So guys I want to ask how many Days do you think it would take for us to get the visa issued after submitting it?

Wouldn't take long, as little as two or three working days if you submitted the correct documents. Were you asked to create an account on ustraveldocs.com/ng ?? If yes, do so now, because the email you fill out there will be the email they'll use to contact you to come pick up your visa.

Thanks for your response, Yes we have picked up our visas, It says it'll expire in April, But we haven't bought tickets yet, we want to know if my sis would come along too, that's why we're waiting for an update from them, We really hope we can all go together

On the day of our interview, surprisingly my sister's name was in their file over there and while we were being screened before the main interview they asked for my sister, same thing happened when the visa officer came, she called my name, my mum's name and my sister's name but we explained to her that my sister didn't come because her name wasn't in the interview letter, she then asked if we would like her to come now or after, We said after, then after a few questions(we weren't issued our visa that day) because she asked for pictures of my mum with my sister when she was a kid, teenager & adult which we were ask to submit at one DHL office together with our passport which we did, then a few days later we were asked to come pick up the visa... Here is my question please, I tried to check our visa status on the embassy site and I & my mum's visa status have changed to "Issued".. But my sister's own is showing " Administrative processing ", please what does it mean?? I also read somewhere that administrative processing cases are usually resolved within 60days, but its been over 40 days now and we haven't heard from them, Should we write an email to them? Or is there any other thing needed to be done please??

To be on the safe side I believe you should send all parties passport and you should just identify who the Applicant is and who the derivatives applicants are.

If your sister's case is placed in AP it means the consulate is awaiting a security advisory opinion. Your sister's name must have appeared in a database or something about her application currently don't add up per the consular officer. So the consulate is awaiting more details to determine her eligibility or otherwise. Usually the principal applicant should have received a notice to that effect.
ACTION;
Write to the consulate to clarify that her case is actually in AP. Ask if the consulate requires additional documents. If the consulate confirms AP status, wait until 60days before reaching out again if no communication.
QUESTIONS;
Has your sister applied for US Visa in the past? Has she ever been in the US? When the embassy asked for pictures of your mum and sister at various stages, were they submitted? Has any of those pictures been at the embassy before?

Thank you so much for your reply, let me start with your last set of questions, No my sister has never applied for a Visa before, she has never travelled out of Nigeria too, and yes we submitted the pictures they requested for and those pictures have never been at the embassy.
However, I have written to the consulate via email on saturday as it has gone pass 60days, they replied me today, they requested for passport number of the applicant(i'm guessing it's my mum's own since she is the main applicant), also for the email we used while opening a profile, haven't replied yet, want to be sure i understand what they are asking for, Thanks for your response

Goodday everyone, Please i don't know if anyone has informations about US Immigrant visas? Haven't seen any new thread concerning it lately, I have so many questions, so i decided to put this out, anyone can help me out, so here this is my experience.. I & my mum went for our interview at the embassy earlier this week, interview went fine, but they requested for more documents, My dad died when i was younger, so my mum is a widow, it was stated during the whole process when my grandmother was filing the visa for us, So the visa officer asked for more evidence of my dad's death, maybe his funeral program and some funeral pictures before she will proceed to issue the visa, she gave us a letter to attach the documents to and we should also submitt our passports, then she gave an address to drop it at, DHL office in VI.. i went there to drop the documents as required today, so now my question is, I hope there is no problem? Is this normal? Also in the letter she gave us to attach the documents, the first paragraph talks about how applicants need to create an online account so that they can be notified about their visa status, Since our case is pending, should i still go ahead and create an account? Also if i want to create, will i create for just my mum? Because she is the main applicant for immigration visa, i am just her son under the age of 21( a derivative applicant), or do i need to create 2 separate accounts for us?
